Chapter 1907: Chapter 1900: Internal Reconciliation

Luo’er’s speculation was correct. Discrimination is one thing, but in fact, people from the Otherworld do not actually dislike the Elf Race. After all, the definition of beauty is almost common between the two worlds, so how could they resist the appeal of the Elf Race?

Luoya’s demeanor attracted the gaze of many, and some ill-intentioned tycoons attempted to inquire about Luoya’s background. However, upon hearing her identity, everyone simultaneously dismissed their crooked thoughts.

Joking aside, she was the younger sister of Earth’s highest Commander. To have ideas about her would mean to never have tasted the wrath of cannon fire in this lifetime.

After the inaugural speech, Luo’er was noticeably busier. He needed to sort out internal affairs before he could muster the energy to deal with the external environment. The first issue to resolve was the conflicts between the various ethnic groups within Earth’s borders.

Among these, the conflict between the Wood Elf and Night Elf factions was particularly acute and urgent.

This needed to be addressed first primarily because Earth’s highest Commander, Luo’er, was a Wood Elf hybrid, which incited unease among the Night Elves in Earth; hence, Luo’er needed to calm this portion of the populace first.

So in the meeting room of the inner city, Luo’er hosted a meeting with the representatives from major tribal villages, their village chiefs. They were Kelan, the chief of Meila Village, Elder Tu Xiu from Leiyun Village, Meita, the chief of Yiniya Village, and Ailamiya, the chief of Yiniya Village.

The Wolfman Clan eventually invited Elder Tu Xiu down from the mountains to reside in a new village. Thanks to the Wolfman Clan’s medical technology, the white-haired Tu Xiu still appeared quite spirited.

And the chief of Meila Village has changed, Baiyue’s grandfather was aging, and naturally, Kelan took over as chief.

“I’ve invited everyone here today mainly to discuss some issues. I’ve had my secretary recite Earth’s ethnic and religious policies to you all just now; I trust you have all understood them. Here, I promise that I, Luo’er, will continue to uphold Earth’s original ethnic and religious policies, and I hope there will be no misunderstandings regarding me.”

Luo’er first gave an opening remark. Of course, he was well aware that the main conflict lay with the two Elf factions; the other groups in Earth were mostly well-behaved.

The two Elf faction chiefs, Meita and Ailamiya, unsurprisingly, were both female, since the Elf factions have long had more women than men.

Seeing neither speaking, Luo’er took the initiative. He looked at Meita, smiling as he called out, “Chief Meita?”

“Uh, is there something you need, Chief?”

This Wood Elf hybrid suddenly came to her senses, her emerald eyes gazing at Luo’er.

“Chief Meita,” Luo’er said solemnly, “although you and I are both Wood Elf hybrids, I hope that in our daily affairs we can tolerate one another and uphold Earth’s legal system and fairness. Regardless of who breaks the law, I will enforce it impartially, something I believe you can understand, right?”

“Understand, of course.” Meita blinked her eyes, nodding hurriedly.

“That’s good then…”

Luo’er smiled and nodded, then turned his gaze to Ailamiya.

“Chief Commander, can you really enforce the law impartially?” Ailamiya asked playfully, tilting her head, her lips unusually alluring.

“Of course,” Luo’er replied solemnly, “I will treat every race and every person fairly and will not favor one race over another or harbor hatred due to my origin.”

“How can I trust you?” Ailamiya asked, squinting, “After all, you are the son of Princess Ilanadale and the grandson of Queen Lilith. How can my Night Elf kind trust that you will enforce the law impartially?”

“Does the chief suspect that I became Earth’s supreme leader purely because of my ties to Ilanadale?” Luo’er retorted with a cold smile.

“I wouldn’t dare to say.” Ailamiya replied meaningfully.

“Nothing to be afraid of mentioning,” Luo’er’s expression suddenly turned serious, “as long as it is a legitimate and reasonable request, I will address it. If one is afraid of retaliation and speaks sarcastically, it isn’t necessary.”

“What does ‘legitimate and reasonable’ mean?”

“Legitimate and reasonable means that I will not favor Wood Elves because of my identity, nor will I mistreat Night Elves. Therefore, I hope you can rest assured, and I hope both Elf factions can coexist harmoniously on Earth and jointly counter external threats.” Luo’er answered.

“Chief Ailamiya,” Luo’er interrupted her words, lightly tapping the table, “I know that Night Elves have blended well into human society. Have you ever considered that if Earth were to fall, you could still integrate with the invaders? Ask yourself, is the old societal life more suitable for Night Elves, or is Earth’s life better suited?”

“I have not thought this way.”

Though Ailamiya’s tone remained calm, Luo’er could sense the panic she tried to hide.

“It’s good if you haven’t,” Luo’er nodded contentedly, “then maintaining Earth’s mainstream values and ensuring everyone lives in the right environment shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

“Of course not…”

After just a few rounds, Ailamiya seemed to have been led by Luo’er, completely losing her original pace.

“Then that’s good. Now, taking advantage of this rare opportunity, I implore you both to temporarily shelve the Elf faction conflicts and put aside disputes to jointly face the current threat. I know well that the discord between Wood Elves and Night Elves is difficult to resolve in a short time, but I am willing to dedicate my lifelong efforts to mediate the accumulated discord between both parties. Will that be satisfactory?” Luo’er asked.

“Uh, yes…”

Meita replied somewhat sheepishly, glancing opposite at Ailamiya.

“That will depend on your methods…”

Ailamiya pursed her lips, seemingly reluctant to verbally lose out to Meita.

“Very well, then let’s have both parties temporarily make peace.” Luo’er suggested.

The two Elves glanced at Luo’er, then at each other, heaving a deep sigh as they stood up slowly, shaking hands with each other politely but reluctantly.

“See, the problem is resolved,” Luo’er expressed with a satisfied smile, suddenly recalling something, and turned to Kelan, who had been silent, “Chief Kelan.”

“Oh, is there something, Chief Commander?” Kelan asked, startled, nodding quickly.

“Just a personal request,” Luo’er said, waving his hand, “the two siblings from the Huayu Family are also Demon Clan hybrids, they may need to stay in Meila Village occasionally. Could you please look after them? I once promised their father to take good care of them.”

“Oh, no problem, leave it to me, Chief Commander.” Kelan assured, patting his chest.

“With that, most internal matters should be largely resolved; I hope everyone will work together in unity for a new future for Earth.”

Luo’er concluded the meeting with a summary.

After the meeting, Luo’er didn’t even have the occasion to sip water before summoning the liaison officer, asking, “Is everything arranged at headquarters?”

“Arranged; just waiting for you to attend the meeting on Earth,” the liaison officer replied.

“Very well, let’s go then.”

Luo’er nodded and directly walked toward the Otherworld Gate.

At the gate entrance, he handed over the pendant to the waiting Nightingale and then passed through the Otherworld Gate, arriving at Earth’s Shenghua District.

Feeling the familiar sense of tearing, Luo’er returned to Earth. Just as he stepped onto Shenghua District’s ground, a lieutenant in tactical gear approached, saluted, and said loudly: “Comrade Luo’er, please take a helicopter to the meeting room.”

“Thank you.” Luo’er returned a salute.

He boarded a helicopter with the lieutenant; two soldiers in exoskeletons saluted at the cabin door simultaneously, but Luo’er had no time to acknowledge them.

Riding a transport plane, he quickly arrived at the helipad of Shenghua Academy and took an omnidirectional elevator to the familiar meeting room.

The automatic door slowly opened, and no sooner had Luo’er stepped into the meeting room did he hear laughter inside: “Ha-ha, welcome our Major Luo’er to the meeting room of us old timers.”

“You flatter me, Chiefs.” Luo’er condescended respectfully.

“Still so serious,” Lin Wei smiled at the others, then said to Luo’er, “Have a seat, let’s get ready for the meeting.”

Luo’er sat down on the chair prepared for him. Just half a month ago, he was merely a humble Advance Team Captain, timidly attending such high-level meetings. Half a month later, he arrived in a neat military uniform, adorned with an extra star on his shoulder.

This stark contrast rendered him a bit overwhelmed and out of place for a moment.
