CHAPTER 133: CHAPTER 132: CANDY’S MAN

Being seen through, Sienna Thornton’s face immediately turned red.

Just as she was thinking about how to retort, she heard him say: "This part is a bit swollen, does it hurt?"

As he spoke, his eyes were fixed on her lips.

She was startled and immediately turned her face away.

He then naturally wrapped his arms around her waist, leaned back, and in a posture of encircling her, leaned against the edge of the dressing table.

Warm orange light from outside the window spilled into the room, warming their faces in a fuzzy glow. The old air conditioner emitted a buzzing electric sound. He looked at her with deep eyes, not saying a word, just staring at her, making her feel flustered and shy. It was as if she were suspended in mid-air with nothing to hold on to except him.

In such silence, one could hear a pin drop, so when he slowly let out a breath, she could hear the note of exasperation in it.

After holding each other for a while, he suddenly lowered his head to kiss her, yet it wasn’t as passionate as usual; instead, it was a tender care for her.

He suddenly smiled and let go of her lips, shifting to kiss her cheek. She was ticklish and shrunk her neck to avoid him, only to hear him say in a low voice, "When kissing, breathe through your nose."

She shivered suddenly, and the little devil in her heart sprung out and mocked, "Ha, so experienced, huh?"

"Feeling better now? Then let’s continue!" He kissed her again...

Repeatedly, during the pauses while waiting for her to catch her breath, his mouth didn’t stop: "Now that we’ve kissed, have you realized something?"

"Hmm... realize what?"

"Do you know you’re someone with family obligations now?"

"Hmm... I’m a marriage skeptic..."

"Nonsense, no-marriage is rubbish. If I hear that word again, I’ll punish you each time..."

"Who am I?"

"...A rogue..."

He continued to kiss and asked again, "Who am I?"

"...A jerk!"

Kissing continued, "Am I not your man?"

"...Yes."

"Ding dong," someone rang the doorbell.

Sienna Thornton, blushing, pushed Simon Forrester away.

Her chest heaved violently as she looked, dazed, at the man who had kissed her into a whirlwind. She rubbed the wet sensation from her lips with the back of her hand, pressing her chest, saying: "The food delivery is here, I’ll go get it."

Just as she took two steps, Simon Forrester pulled her back into his arms. He glanced ambiguously at her chest and said, "Without wearing underclothes, where are you going? I’ll get it." Finishing, he let her go and went out.

He brought the delivery inside and placed it on the table. Noticing there was only one portion, Simon Forrester frowned and pushed open the bedroom door. Before he could speak, the woman dressing inside screamed and tossed a pillow over.

He caught it, and asked, "You only ordered food for yourself?"

"Of course! How would I know you’d be here for dinner?"

He pursed his lips unhappily: "Then let’s eat together."

Sienna Thornton came out after getting dressed. Simon Forrester was sitting in the living room making a call. Out of nowhere, he had a laptop, modifying something on it while talking to someone.

As she passed the living room, she shot him a resentful look just as he caught her. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the dining table.

The table was set with smashed cucumbers and spicy rice noodles. When she turned to the kitchen, intending to get a set of chopsticks and spoon to share some noodles with Simon Forrester, she suddenly remembered his sensitive stomach couldn’t handle spicy food. So she turned on the stove to cook him an egg noodle soup.

While frying the egg, someone wrapped their arms around her waist from behind. Without lifting her head, she focused on flipping and cooking the egg before placing it on the noodles.

"You’re making noodles for me?" a deep, magnetic male voice whispered by her ear.

Sienna Thornton got goosebumps on her arms and elbowed the mischievous man behind her. She turned to retrieve chopsticks and a spoon from the disinfection cabinet, and carried out the egg noodles.

Simon Forrester followed her out, and they sat directly across from each other.

During the meal, Sienna Thornton didn’t show him a kind face, but Simon Forrester’s heart was still soft as mush.

She still remembered his sensitive stomach, making noodles for him, probably because noodles are gentle on the stomach.

Thinking of this, he regretted not pursuing her sooner.

"By the way," he suddenly remembered something, "I received a bank refund message this morning, the guesthouse refunded the prepaid rent, did you know about it?"

"Yes, because I canceled it." With that, she glanced at him, "You need to return the room card to me. I plan to take back the place."

He didn’t ask why, vaguely knowing her reasoning. Just as he pondered how to convince her, she said: "Why waste money on this? Business over there isn’t good anyway. If you want to stay, book on-site anytime."

He sighed with relief and explained: "It’s not that, I just don’t like staying where others have stayed. The reason I booked for a year was to ensure the room would always be unused when I visit. Anyway, I won’t return the room card to you, and the rent has already been transferred back to them."

He thought, with this amount, Sienna wouldn’t have to worry about loan payments for at least half a year. He didn’t know how to help her through this crisis, and offering money directly would surely be refused, so he chose this method.

Sienna, of course, didn’t see this part. She thought Simon Forrester did it solely to pursue her or satisfy his own obsession with cleanliness. Since she now agreed with him and assumed he’d accompany her to the guesthouse on weekends, she didn’t dwell on the matter further.

After dinner, Simon Forrester wanted to wash the dishes, so Sienna let him.

She herself went into the room to change to clean bed sheets and duvet covers, then took her pajamas and went to the bathroom.

She had the foresight to lock the bathroom door behind her.
