CHAPTER 165: CHAPTER 163: MOVING HOUSE

After all, she’s still a soft-hearted girl. No matter how strong and indifferent she pretends to be on the surface, when it comes to leaving a place where she has lived for over two years, she’ll still feel reluctant.

Simon Forrester hugged her and gently comforted, "It’s okay, once we earn enough money, we can buy it back."

She nodded with reddened eyes, not sure if she really heard him.

Back at Simon Forrester’s place, the two of them began organizing.

Among the things Sienna Thornton brought, apart from clothes and personal items, there were only books. Just those books alone filled more than ten boxes.

Simon Forrester specifically cleared a side of the study’s bookshelf for her. Initially, he wanted to help her put the books up, but she insisted on categorizing them herself, saying it would make it easier to find books later.

The bookshelf in the study had a top shelf that required a ladder, so Sienna Thornton handed the books up from below while Simon Forrester sat on the ladder, placing books according to her instructions.

After finishing with the study, they moved to the dressing room to sort out clothes.

Like most girls, Sienna Thornton had a lot of clothes in all sorts of styles: winter coats both long and short, suits, sweaters, long skirts, short skirts, dresses, long pants; and for summer, shirts, T-shirts, pencil skirts, and heaps of long and short pants, which covered the entire dressing room.

At first, Simon Forrester offered to help her organize, but she dismissed him as an inflexible bachelor of thirty-two years who wouldn’t know how to handle a girl’s clothes, so she didn’t let him touch them.

As a result, she sat alone organizing until nightfall and only managed to sort through half of it.

When Simon Forrester came in to check on her, he saw her fuming over a pile of creased shirts.

Immediately, he grabbed the garment steamer from nearby, hung up a shirt, ironed it, and then promptly hung it in the closet.

In just half an hour or so, he had all her shirts neatly done.

Sienna Thornton was surprised, "I didn’t know you were so good at ironing clothes?"

He shot her a sidelong glance, "I learned to iron clothes back when you were still making wishes on shooting stars from your village’s hills."

As he spoke, he picked a few dresses to iron as well.

Sienna Thornton awkwardly laughed and picked out the clothes that needed ironing from the heap to give to him.

Simon Forrester was quick at tasks, and with his help, Sienna Thornton finally managed to sort everything out before dinner.

After dinner, Simon Forrester went to tidy up the kitchen while Sienna Thornton continued organizing.

She looked at the two boxes of skincare, makeup, and perfume products, feeling troubled.

The Inflexible Forrester’s place didn’t have anything like a dressing table.

In the bedroom, the desk and bedside table were integrated, with no mirror on top, just some decorative items like a clock and a wireless charger, leaving no room for a mirror or drawers for makeup, nor was it possible to place all the bottles and jars on the table.

And there was no place in the dressing room that could serve as a dressing table.

Sienna Thornton ran to the kitchen and asked Simon Forrester, who was washing his hands, "Where should I put my makeup?"

"Isn’t there a table in the guest room? Just put it there for now, and I’ll figure something out later."

"Okay."

After organizing the makeup, Sienna Thornton breathed a sigh of relief and flopped onto the guest room bed.

She felt incredibly sore and thought that after last night, she probably shouldn’t have moved today, but should have rested properly instead.

But neither she nor Simon Forrester had any experience, just like two clueless youngsters who decided to move as soon as they thought of it.

As she lay there sighing, Simon Forrester came in, glanced at the table where she had placed her cosmetics, and said, "After a shower, let’s design your dressing table."

"Design?" Sienna Thornton immediately sat up, "Aren’t we going to buy one? How do you design it?"

Simon Forrester sat down beside her and instinctively reached for her shoulder and neck, massaging while saying, "Tell me what you like, and I’ll use software to draw it out for you. If you’re satisfied, we can have the furniture customization center make the final product."

Excited, Sienna Thornton asked, "Can they really make something exactly like it?"

"Of course."

"Awesome!" Sienna Thornton cupped his face, gave him a hearty kiss on the forehead, jumped out of bed, and ran to the dressing room to get some clothes.

After her shower, Simon Forrester had also finished his and was sitting in the study using the computer.

She walked over, and he pulled her onto his lap, handing her a blank sketchbook and a box of markers, "Draw your ideas down and color them in."

"Okay!"

Sienna Thornton began sketching on paper, outlining a framework, and when it came to coloring, she asked, "Where should the dressing table go?"

Simon Forrester, who was drawing the same framework using software, blurted out, "The master bedroom might be more convenient, so you can go straight to bed after applying your nighttime skincare, without having to walk back and forth."

Sienna Thornton thought about his all-in-one, sleek master bedroom suite and asked, "But wouldn’t that ruin the style of the master bedroom?"

Simon Forrester was unconcerned, "It’s more important for you to have convenience, who cares about style."

"Got it!"

Sienna Thornton picked up a wood-colored pencil and filled in the color.

When she finished, Simon Forrester had also completed the digital rendering.

She seriously offered some revisions, and Simon Forrester provided some professional advice. Soon, they had designed a modern-style, wood-colored dressing table.

She hugged Simon Forrester’s neck and gave him a kiss, admiringly saying, "I didn’t know you could design furniture too! That’s amazing!"

His eyes still on the screen as he finalized the design, Simon Forrester’s lips curved slightly, "I’ve designed skyscrapers with hundreds of floors; a small dressing table is no big deal."

Sienna Thornton hugged him, laughing heartily, "You’re the kind of person who takes a mile when given an inch!"

"I already have my mile," he kissed her back, "Do you know the ’Sylian’ brand?"

"I do. It’s a luxury women’s wear brand from our country."

Simon Forrester: "That’s one of the women’s clothing brands under your mother-in-law’s group, so do you think I didn’t already have my mile?"

Sienna Thornton paused for a moment before realizing and playfully scolded, "What mother-in-law? What nonsense are you talking about."

Simon Forrester: "Isn’t my mom your mother-in-law? Or should I start calling her ’our mom’?"
