CHAPTER 168: CHAPTER 166: THE JEALOUS FORRESTER

"Yeah, that’s right." Sienna Thornton looked up at her reflection in the mirror, "My mom says I look like my biological father."

Simon Forrester: "I see, that explains why you have a man’s face."

Sienna’s features indeed were not as traditionally delicate as most girls; her beauty was more of a spirited nature.

The traditional standards of a pretty girl often included large, bright eyes and fine, willow-leaf eyebrows; whereas Sienna’s eyebrows and eyes were more neutral, with thick, sword-like brows, sharp and defined, resembling the swift cut of a knife; although her eyes weren’t watery, they were the kind of sharp, spirited phoenix eyes.

When she was studying in Azure Harbor, her classmates said she looked like the young Bridget Linwood. Yet, her face shape wasn’t as grand as Bridget Linwood’s; it was more of a delicately featured egg-shaped face.

Spirited brows and eyes, egg-shaped face, delicate and petite nose and lips.

Also, her skin was very fair, with slightly chubby cheeks, giving her a baby-fat look.

Finally, people realized that she somewhat resembled another Azure Harbor actress who was dubbed the "Little Bridget Linwood" in her early debut days.

Thinking back on this, Sienna found it amusing, and relayed it to Simon as a joke: "When I was studying in Azure Harbor, my classmates all said I looked like XXX!"

Simon glanced at her: "You’re prettier and more pure than XXX."

Sienna simply smiled; she knew too well that to get such praise from the picky and fussy Simon meant that her looks indeed surpassed the average level.

She didn’t say anything further, merely indulging in the memories of her time studying in Azure Harbor.

The man who was seriously drying his hair suddenly, in a feigned casual manner, asked, "When you were in Azure Harbor, were there lots of guys chasing after you?"

"Hm?" Sienna immediately went on alert, "Nope. My type isn’t popular in Azure Harbor; the guys there all prefer local girls. You know, the ones who dress very trendy and stylish. I’m a country bumpkin, no one liked me."

After saying this, she cautiously observed The Jealous Forrester in the mirror.

The Jealous Forrester had a "you’ve got to be kidding me" expression on his face.

Getting Thomas Reed divorced was proof enough of how much of a troublemaker Sienna was in the looks department.

Having grown up with Thomas Reed, Simon knew all too well that Thomas was no easy character; not only was he picky, but he had to have everything just right. His ex-wife, though not very bright, was undeniably stunning and alluring. Back then, people said she was the prettiest woman in Brimfield, but Thomas made a wreck out of her.

Recalling how that married older man, Thomas, was willing to divorce to potentially embark on a "legal duo" romance with Sienna, made Simon furious.

"Hey, tell me, what do they call the architect and lawyer combo in your circles?"

Hearing his silly question, Sienna thought for a moment and said, "I don’t think I’ve ever seen an architect and lawyer pairing. More common are lawyers with those in the judiciary, or lawyers with civil servants."

"Oh, then how about a lawyer and a magnate?"

Sienna burst into laughter, almost to tears: "You’re so tacky. If you want to be tacky, fine, but don’t drag me into it."

The Great Magnate Forrester gave a cold snort, then proudly put away the hairdryer, picked her up from the chair, pecked her on the cheek, and headed to the bedroom, saying as he walked, "Let me tell you, there isn’t another magnate in the country with my looks, this physique, at such a prime age. You’d better treasure me."

"Hey, wait a minute," Sienna wrapped her arms around his neck, "Last time when that guy came looking for you at my place, he was about your height but darker and more built, covered in designer brands, and he threatened to sue you. He seemed pretty wealthy too."

"Jack Hawthorne, his family’s in real estate and aviation. He’s older than me, must be about 35."

Sienna: "I didn’t notice he was older than you, he looks about the same, he’s well-maintained too."

Recalling how Jack Hawthorne once said Sienna looked familiar, like one of his exes, Simon instantly turned back into The Jealous Forrester, biting out in agitation, "Hey, what do you mean by that?"

"I didn’t mean anything. You said there wasn’t a second person like you, and that reminded me of him as the second person."

Seeing Simon embodying jealousy, ready to argue to the end, Sienna quickly raised her face to kiss him.

The two kissed all the way back to the bedroom, Simon flipped off the light: "Time for bed."

Sienna glanced at her phone: "It’s just past eight, isn’t that a bit early?"

Simon: "Not early at all, isn’t it lights out around eight or nine in your village? I’m accommodating your schedule here."

Sienna: "..."

She wriggled around a bit: "You’re holding me tight, it’s a bit warm."

After saying that, the person holding her from behind released his grip, and after hearing two beeps, he held her again.

"I lowered the air conditioning by two degrees, so it won’t be hot now." Saying this, Simon hugged her tighter, insisting on tangling his legs with hers.

She was suffocatingly embraced, then twisted around in resistance.

From behind came his deep voice: "Don’t move around. You’re responsible for the consequences."

Sienna knew that nothing would happen tonight, as last night’s midnight session ended with her crying and him spooked, pledging the third time would be on her notice.

Just as she was thinking that, the person behind her softly asked, "When can you give me notice?"

"Eh?" Sienna bit her lip, thought for a bit, "I checked online, it said at least about half a month."

"Half... a month?"

From his tone, Sienna thought he would complain that half a month was too long, but he only said, "I thought you were going to say half a year."

She nudged his stomach with her elbow, and asked back, "If it were half a year, would you not stick to the agreement?"

"For half a year, we’d have to discuss the possibility of compromise."

"You’ve already endured ten years or so, what’s half a year?"

Hearing the displeasure in her words, he quickly turned her towards him, kissed her gently, and whispered as he embraced her, "I hadn’t met you before, had I?"

"Hmph, men."

Sienna didn’t want to pay him any mind, closing her eyes to rest.

Simon quietly held her for a while, then began to fidget, annoying her to the point she got up, took the dirty clothes she changed out of that night, and went to wash them.

This apartment had a dedicated laundry room located between the guest bathroom and the kitchen, connected to the only balcony in the house.

When Sienna stayed here with a foot injury, after showering, she would soak her dirty clothes in the basin with detergent, rub and scrub a bit, then hang them out to dry.

At that time, not being familiar with Simon, she didn’t dare use his washing machine, firstly paying attention to personal hygiene, and secondly worrying if he might mind.

After they started dating, their clothes were washed together, so this time she didn’t bother hand-washing. She took a basket to the laundry room, ready to try out The Great Magnate’s high-end double-layered washing machine.
