CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: LIVING TOGETHER

Sienna Thornton entered the room angrily, sat on the bed and thought for a while. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Just as she was about to call Thomas Reed and ask him to keep his wife in check, someone knocked on the door.

She casually shouted, "Come in," and picked up her phone again.

"Pack your things," Simon Forrester said casually, leaning against the door frame with his hands in his pockets, his tone indifferent.

"What for?" Sienna Thornton glanced at him.

"Afraid you’ll get beaten to death here by Thomas Reed’s wife, I’ll lend you a temporary place to stay."

"No need, I’ll stay at my friend’s place," Sienna Thornton naturally referred to Maeve.

"You probably don’t know what kind of person Thomas Reed’s wife is." Simon Forrester smiled meaningfully, taking out a cigarette pack from his pocket. He took one out but didn’t light it, just twirling it between his fingers.

There was only a dim nightlight in the bedroom, and he stood at the doorway, his broad figure blocking all the dim light from the living room, casting a shadow on his face.

Sienna Thornton couldn’t see his expression clearly.

And in his voice, there wasn’t a trace of emotion: "Her family is also involved in the mafia. So, are you sure you want to implicate your friend?"

Sienna Thornton was speechless.

After just a moment, she quickly stood up with the aid of a crutch nearby, "Wait for me, I’ll pack up quickly."

Simon Forrester smiled and closed the door for her.

When Sienna Thornton came out of the bedroom, it was two hours later.

Seeing Simon Forrester nowhere in the living room, she thought he had left. Nervously, Sienna Thornton asked Auntie King standing outside, "Where’s Mr. Forrester?"

"Mr. Forrester is on the balcony smoking. I’ll go call him," Auntie King cheerily ran towards the balcony.

"Mr. Forrester, Lawyer Thornton has packed her things, ready to go."

Simon Forrester, who was lighting another cigarette, hearing this, quickly extinguished it and strolled into the living room.

Seeing the three large suitcases Sienna Thornton had packed, his bold, bushy eyebrows slightly knitted as he asked, "You know this is the fifth floor with no elevator, right?"

"I know! But I can’t lose my zest for life just because I’m living on a fifth floor without an elevator."

"..." Simon Forrester was speechless for a moment, then turned to call Harrison Rowe.

Harrison Rowe, who was waiting in the car downstairs, quickly came up, not only helping transport Sienna Thornton’s three large suitcases to the car but also assisting alongside Auntie King to carefully escort Sienna Thornton downstairs.

Once everything was ready, Harrison Rowe was already drenched in sweat.

He leaned against the right side of the back window, panting heavily, and asked Simon Forrester, who was inside looking at design plans, "Director Forrester, can Auntie ride up front while Lawyer Thornton sits with you?"

"That’s fine."

"Great!"

The low-profile S90 drove out of the old neighborhood in the center of Brimfield.

As he turned the steering wheel, Harrison Rowe glanced in the rearview mirror and asked quietly, "Director Forrester, where to first?"

"Directly to my place."

This answer was a bit ambiguous, so Harrison Rowe had to confirm again, "To your place first? Then where should we take Lawyer Thornton?"

"Lawyer Thornton will stay at my place," Simon Forrester replied casually.

Sitting next to him, Sienna Thornton was taken aback and turned to look at him. The flickering lights outside the window played across his face, and at this moment, Sienna Thornton realized she couldn’t fathom his intentions.

She originally thought Simon Forrester would offer her another empty house to stay in, never expecting that he would lend his current residence to her.

In this case...

Wouldn’t that make them cohabitants?
