CHAPTER 32: CHAPTER 32: WOLF DEFENSE

Faced with Sienna Thornton’s increasingly excessive requests, Simon Forrester had a terrible headache.

Pressing his swollen temples, he said patiently, "You’ve only got a cast on your right leg, not confined to bed, nowhere near the point where you need someone catering to you all the time. Since Auntie King took leave, you’ve been making a fuss in different ways. You know your own motive."

He decided not to indulge Sienna Thornton’s ridiculous antics any longer.

Sienna Thornton raised an eyebrow and laughed, "Since we both understand each other, why waste time acting?"

The man’s gaze lingered on her exquisite and beautiful collarbone, then he mocked, "Do you really think I want to do something bad to you and your friends could stop me? Naive!"

Being treated like a predator, Simon Forrester’s patience for the whole evening was nearing its breaking point.

Before Sienna could react, he slammed the door shut with a "bang," startling her heart.

Sienna pouted at the tightly shut door, muttering under her breath, "Already angry?"

She returned to her room, feeling a bit uneasy. Simon Forrester was usually so composed, and he had actually slammed the door hard just now, which meant he was really angry.

Considering she still needed his help, Sienna decided to adopt a softer approach going forward.

Having thought of a strategy, she went to sleep comfortably. In the middle of the night, she was awakened by hunger.

The takeout Simon brought back that night was unappetizing, and Auntie King being on leave had put her in a bad mood and she had no appetite.

Too hungry to sleep, Sienna dug out some instant noodles she brought from home, intending to cook a bowl to ease her hunger.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she left her room, she ran into Simon Forrester, who was also coming out of the study.

Noticing the empty glass in his hand and the study lights already off, Sienna politely asked, "Director Forrester, finished with work?"

Simon Forrester gave her a cold glance, said nothing, and headed straight to the bar counter, taking a carton of fresh milk from the fridge to pour into his glass.

Sienna’s sharp eyes saw the milk carton empty, yet only half a glass of milk came out. With the intention of pleasing Simon Forrester, she followed him and understandingly said, "Hungry, are you? Drinking cold milk isn’t good for your stomach! I’m hungry too, planning to cook some instant noodles, want some?"

Simon Forrester, looking displeased, tossed the milk carton into the trash, and when he turned back, Sienna had already poured his half glass of milk down the sink.

His temples throbbed, closing his eyes in exhaustion, "Why did you pour out my last half glass of milk?"

"Cold milk is bad for the stomach! I’m about to make hot, steaming instant noodles, let’s eat together."

"Instant noodles aren’t bad for the stomach?"

Seeing Simon Forrester’s serious tone, Sienna paused, then suggested, "Well... how about we go out and find something to eat? A few stir-fried dishes, some hot porridge to warm the stomach?"

Spotting her timid expression, even though he knew she was good at playing innocent, Simon Forrester still felt sympathetic and glanced at the hollow art clock on the wall, noncommittal, "It’s two o’clock in the morning, where to find food?"

Hearing what he said, Sienna knew there was hope and propped her crutches to return to her room, saying as she walked, "I know a place with good food, tasty and cheap. I’ll get my coat, wait for me a moment."

With her coat ready as she came back out, Simon Forrester was also fully dressed, holding car keys, waiting at the entrance.
