CHAPTER 63: CHAPTER 63: WATCHING A MOVIE

Maeve turned around to leave, then suddenly came back, "Mr. Forrester, you have my number, right? Send me the account number later, and I’ll transfer you the half a million."

"No need, the money has been recovered."

It made sense; the village chief had been apprehended, so recovering the half a million was normal.

Maeve made an OK gesture and left.

Sienna Thornton slept until noon, and when she changed her dress, she found the plaster cast was dirty. Although Maeve had wiped it several times with wet wipes last night, she still found it unsightly, as if everything she had experienced in Raines Village was still vivid in her mind.

After changing clothes and going out, she saw Simon Forrester cooking in the kitchen. She leaned against the doorway and smiled at him, "Need any help?"

"No need, the meal will be ready in ten minutes."

Understandingly, she sat on the sofa and called Maeve. Upon hearing that Maeve had a schedule in the afternoon, she sighed, "Zion is in the United States, so who should I find to accompany me to the hospital?"

Knowing that Sienna wanted to go to the hospital because she disliked the dirty plaster cast, Maeve nagged her a bit over the phone.

While eating, Simon Forrester said proactively, "I’m not working today, so I’ll accompany you to the hospital this afternoon."

Both his expression and tone were calm.

Sienna Thornton was surprised, "How did you know I wanted to go to the hospital?"

"I overheard your conversation with Maeve by chance."

Sienna gave an "oh," and immediately brightened up, "Great! After changing the plaster, I’ll treat you to dinner to thank you for rescuing me yesterday!"

"Alright."

After finishing lunch, Simon Forrester cleaned up the dishes, and Sienna Thornton went back to her room, searching for the card Simon had given her at the hospital, intending to return it to him during dinner.

As she changed clothes, she thought about how she had given Felix Raines eight hundred thousand, and still needed to deal with Melinda Linton’s surgery expenses, tightening her finances further. This meant the preparation for the bed and breakfast had to be postponed again. And since Simon Forrester had helped her during this crisis, she felt embarrassed to ask him to help with design sketches, utilizing his popularity.

"Being kind is the way to live, isn’t it?" Sienna Thornton looked at herself in the mirror and smiled in a relieved manner.

When she went out, Simon Forrester was sitting on the bench in the hallway putting on his shoes. He glanced at her bare legs under her wool shorts, frowned slightly, and said, "It’s windy outside."

"Hmm?" Sienna Thornton pointed to the trench coat draped over her arm, "I brought a coat."

Saying that, she took the initiative to open the door with her crutches, while Simon Forrester was about to say something but then stopped.

The two entered the elevator together, which descended at a steady speed. Sienna Thornton casually asked, "It’s Wednesday today. Why aren’t you at work?"

Simon Forrester cleared his throat lightly, "I haven’t been very busy lately."

Sienna Thornton was entirely relaxed and casual, "Don’t you go back to visit your parents during your break?"

"They are currently not in the country."

"They’re all abroad?"

"My grandparents are in the country," Simon Forrester said, with his hands in his pockets, looking at the elevator floors changing, his tone indifferent, "Grandfather is at the Forrester Family estate, and Grandmother lives with the Reed Family."

Sienna Thornton didn’t ask further because the elevator door opened.

After exiting the elevator and reaching the basement, there were two flights of stairs. Simon Forrester gave her a hand.

Looking at the tall figure walking ahead, she realized in hindsight that after experiencing the incident in the previous town, Simon Forrester seemed like an old friend to her. She still remembered the silent elevator ride they shared before going back to her hometown.

Indeed, in a dramatic sense, they had experienced life and death together...

The attending doctor was a bit annoyed when he saw Sienna Thornton wanted to change her plaster cast despite it not being loose. He refused and even criticized her for wasting medical resources.

Sienna Thornton then said, "It got wet when I showered a few days ago."

The doctor, half dubious, checked again. Seeing the plaster was indeed dirty and unable to determine if it had gotten wet, he reluctantly agreed to let her change it.

While writing the medical order, he scolded Simon Forrester, "The patient is like this, and you, as the husband, can’t help while she bathes? If everyone were like you, getting water into the plaster cast every day, wouldn’t orthopedics be overwhelmed?"

Simon Forrester gave Sienna Thornton an exasperated glare.

After changing the plaster cast, it was only a bit past four, too early for dinner. Sienna Thornton hesitated about whether to go back and come out again later, but Simon Forrester found it troublesome and drove straight to Brimfield’s largest mall.

Sienna Thornton pointed to her newly changed cast and the single crutch in the back seat, asking, "You’re taking a bone fracture patient to the mall?"

"Who’s going shopping with you?" Simon Forrester turned off the engine and got out of the car, "There’s a good Japanese restaurant here."

"Now?" Sienna Thornton touched her still somewhat full belly, "I’m not hungry yet."

"There’s a cinema upstairs." Simon Forrester got out first, leaned the crutch against the car, and helped her out.

Watching a movie doesn’t require walking, and you can sit in the soft chairs of the cinema and even drool while sleeping without being noticed.

Sienna Thornton did not object.
