Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike
Chapter 72 - 71: Completely Drunk
CHAPTER 72: CHAPTER 71: COMPLETELY DRUNK
Sienna Thornton saw that he couldn’t even stand steadily, so she quickly supported his arm, "How are you going to shower like this? If you fall like I did, you’ll end up with a fracture too."
She naturally meant that if Simon Forrester forcefully took a shower, he might end up like her, with a fracture or something similar.
Simon Forrester still ignored her, brushed her hand away again, and forced his way into the guest bathroom. After taking out his belt, he started unbuttoning his shirt. As he unbuttoned, he suddenly staggered and sat down on the toilet lid.
Recalling his terrifying appearance when he had a fever last time, Sienna Thornton gritted her teeth, turned on the heater, and went forward to help him take off his shirt.
She bent over slightly, her body taller than Simon Forrester sitting on the toilet.
Simon Forrester looked up at her, his amber eyes intently watching her, and chuckled, "What are you doing?"
The alcohol breath he exhaled made her dizzy, both angry and amused, "It’s late, time to sleep."
What she really meant was that last time Simon Forrester had a fever, she couldn’t sleep all night, so tonight she couldn’t let him catch a cold and fever again.
But the drunken Simon heard this and couldn’t quite process it, sillily laughed, "Gotta shower before sleeping..."
"Got it," Sienna Thornton pushed him, forcing him to sit upright, her tone slightly serious, "So after showering, you’ll sleep well?"
He nodded heavily, his head tilted to one side.
"You don’t mind if I prepare for you, do you?" Sienna Thornton stared at him, seemingly trying to see whether he was truly drunk or pretending.
He nodded solemnly again.
"Alright then," Sienna Thornton glanced at the guest bathroom that only had a shower, "Sit here for a moment."
She went to check the master bedroom’s bathroom, and sure enough, there was a constant temperature massage bathtub installed by the floor-to-ceiling window. She rinsed it briefly with the shower head, adjusted the water temperature, and started filling the tub.
Returning to the guest bathroom, she found Simon Forrester leaning back on the toilet, staring into space, his face flushed, breathing heavily, yet not asleep and seemingly lost in thought.
Sienna Thornton walked over and tried to help him up, "I’ve prepared the water for you, let’s go back to your room to shower."
"No," though he said that, his body honestly rested on Sienna Thornton’s shoulder and got up, "I want to shower outside..."
Sienna Thornton laughed, "Your ’outside’ doesn’t mean the guest bathroom at home, does it?"
He didn’t respond, lost in thought.
The two of them stumbled towards the master bedroom, and several times Simon Forrester almost knocked Sienna Thornton down with his swaying body.
"Luckily I’m tall enough, otherwise I would’ve been dragged down by you."
Simon Forrester responded slowly, "You have the nerve to say that, being a woman who’s as tall and big as a horse, aren’t you embarrassed?"
Sienna Thornton found it funny yet exasperating, but she wasn’t about to bicker with a drunk man. Not arguing didn’t mean backing down, so she retorted, "For an artist, you’re pretending to be blind here?"
Simon Forrester chuckled foolishly, "Aren’t I blind..."
Sienna Thornton ignored him, quickly pushed him into the master bathroom, and her eyes swept around his waist, "Alright, you’re on your own now, I’m leaving."
She then placed the towel and bathrobe from the shelf beside the bathtub, "I’m leaving the towel and bathrobe here. To prevent you from falling asleep and soaking too long, I’ll knock on the door in half an hour. You better put this on by then, and I’ll come help you out."
In truth, she wasn’t sure if Simon Forrester, being this drunk, could even manage to put on a bathrobe himself, but it’s better to lay things out first, right?
Standing behind her, Simon Forrester wobbled as he tried to unclasp his belt, struggling unsuccessfully. As she was about to leave, she noticed his clumsiness and couldn’t help but return to press him down to sit by the edge of the tub.
