CHAPTER 79: CHAPTER 78: WEDDING GIFT

Sienna Thornton was overwhelmed with anger, fear, and terror, shaking all over as though she was sifting chaff.

She originally did not want to mention anything related to Thomas Reed, but at this moment, the instinct to survive overpowered her innate pride and dignity. She forced herself to remain calm with all her might.

She said, "You only see Partner Reed transferring money to me, but you didn’t see me returning it to him in full."

"You’re quite the debater, aren’t you!" Mrs. Reed laughed maniacally, pressing the butterfly knife downwards. Sienna Thornton immediately felt a sharp pain on her face, and then a warm stream trickling down; she guessed she was bleeding.

Imagining the vivid red liquid coursing on her face, her breathing became rapid, her legs went weak, but she held on with her last ounce of strength, saying, "I advise you not to act rashly. Whether you kill me or hurt me today, you’ll end up in prison. Once you’re imprisoned, Partner Reed will have more reason to divorce you, and he’ll start a family with another woman, having children of their own! Do you think you’ll have won without me?!"

The last sentence was almost shouted by Sienna Thornton.

Mrs. Reed was stunned for a moment, then suddenly burst into tears, muttering to herself, "But what should I do now? Thomas Reed not only wants to divorce me but also wants to give his shares in Vantage to you. If that happens, won’t everyone know I was defeated by you? I’d rather be dead!"

Sienna Thornton was so angry she couldn’t stand steadily. After a pause, she tried her best to calm down and said, "There must be some misunderstanding. ’Vantage’ has other shareholders; it’s impossible for him to give me shares just like that. There must be a misunderstanding..."

At this point, Sienna Thornton was already feeling faint because she noticed that the blood on her cheek was flowing down the wound and onto her chest.

Drop by drop, it soaked into the pink fabric, forming terrifying shapes.

Sienna Thornton glanced at it out of the corner of her eye, and her legs went weak instantly, nearly passing out, but the will to survive kept her grasping to her last bit of consciousness because she knew that if she fainted, the frenzied Mrs. Reed would torture her somewhere unknown...

"What are you doing?" Suddenly, Simon Forrester’s voice boomed from outside the door. He strode toward Mrs. Reed, intending to snatch the knife from her hand, but was blocked by one of her bodyguards.

Mrs. Reed took the chance to move behind Sienna Thornton, the butterfly knife pressing tightly against Sienna’s fair neck.

With a grim expression, Simon Forrester asked with a tightened jaw, "What’s going on?"

"Your brother wants to divorce me! He also wants to give his shares in ’Vantage’ to this bitch! It’s almost public knowledge! I’ve lost all my dignity! I might as well perish with her!"

Mrs. Reed cried as she spoke, her grip tightening, and the butterfly knife left a shallow cut on the side of Sienna’s neck.

"Ugh..." Sienna Thornton gasped in pain, her eyes widening as she looked at Simon Forrester, her eyes moist.

Simon Forrester knew that Sienna Thornton fainted at the sight of blood, and he saw the knife had already cut into her beautiful neck.

In that moment, his heart seized with pain, his expression changed, but he quickly regained his composure. "Regarding the shares, I originally didn’t want to say anything, but since you’ve misunderstood, I have no choice but to say it now."

He paused, looked at the bleeding Sienna Thornton, and added in a deep voice, "I discussed with Thomas Reed, hoping to buy part of his shares in ’Vantage’ as a wedding gift for Lawyer Thornton."
