Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent
Chapter 104: Victoria (2)
CHAPTER 104: VICTORIA (2)
He did not hesitate and poured out all the questions troubling him to Victoria. Fortunately, she was a kind person. She explained everything that had transpired and even briefed him on the developments he needed to hear.
Apparently, he had lost control of his mind after returning from the breakthrough trial. According to Victoria, he had released a strong pressure that caused chaos across the hunter academy before the arrival of Norian Sterling, who managed to knock him unconscious and bring him here for her to treat.
Thanks to Victoria using her unique healing abilities on him, he was able to recover from all the trauma troubling him. She had dulled down all the rageful emotions growing inside him.
Now that he thought of it, this was the only explanation for why he was able to push back those memories with ease.
Naturally, someone without her help would be shaken for a long time and it would take months or even years to recover from such trauma.
For that, he was more than grateful to the raven haired soul healer.
As for where he was, he was in the family house of the Silver family. Victoria’s family.
He also got to learn that the young boy was named Stormis.
"Thank you for taking care of me." Marlon bowed his head slightly, displaying sincere gratitude.
"No worries." Her lips parted slightly, her face brimming with beauty and care.
"You also have Stormis here to thank." She pointed to her son, who wore a wide grin. "He is your biggest fan."
"Oh." Marlon smiled and turned to the young boy. "It is nice to know I have a fan like you."
Stormis smiled brightly, and out of nowhere, he asked, "Do you want to spar with me?"
"Heh." Marlon was caught off guard by the request.
Victoria swiftly turned toward Stormis. She gave him a small tap on the head and reprimanded him in a stern tone.
"What did your father say about this?"
Stormis pouted, folded his hands stubbornly, and turned his head away.
"But mom, I want to see how strong he actually is."
Victoria pinched his cheeks, then turned toward Marlon with a bright smile.
"Do not mind him, he is always like this." She said.
But Marlon already had a puzzled look on his face as he inspected the little boy with his inspect skill.
He quickly fixed his expression before they suspected anything.
"Do not worry haha, honestly, I like how courageous he is." Marlon said.
"Mama, we get that a lot, but please do not fulfill his silly request." She responded.
If Marlon had not seen the true powers of the little boy, he would have thought she was only joking.
But in actuality, she was warning him.
"Get some rest, my husband will be back soon. He has a lot of things to discuss with you."
Grabbing the stubbornly pouting Stormis, Victoria bade him farewell and walked out of the room, leaving him alone in awe.
Marlon stared at the closed door for a few seconds before returning his attention to the panel in front of him.
[ Stormis ]
[Race: Human]
[Power level: 59]
[Power rank: E]
[Talent: ??? (EX)]
[Skills: ??? ]
[Blessings: ??? (Arcane rank) ??? (Arcane rank) ??? (Divine rank)]
He was speechless as he went over the details again and again.
"He should only be eight or nine, yet he is already level 59. He is even stronger than most veteran hunters who have spent more time hunting than he has lived. What sort of monster is he?"
He inhaled coldly.
Not only did he possess an EX rank talent and three blessings, but two were arcane rank. A rank higher than divine rank.
The little boy was loaded with talents.
As he thought about what he had witnessed, he could not help but wonder why such a talent had not been revealed to the world.
It was not as if it was hidden.
If Norian Sterling knew about the Silver family and had brought him here, then he must have come across the little genius.
"Now that I think about it."
He placed his hand on his lip in a contemplating pose as he recalled their last conversation before she left.
She told him her husband had things to discuss with him.
"Who is her husband?"
He wondered.
He had never heard of the Silver family until today and there was no popular hunter bearing that surname.
"I should just wait till he returns."
He decided.
He fell asleep a few seconds later.

Hunter Academy.
The events that had taken place at the academy before the commencement of this year’s session had left everything disorganised for both instructors and students. They had to deal with waves of curious citizens and troublesome reporters almost every hour.
In Arden, whenever someone achieved a major feat, especially a record breaking one, the person was interviewed so the masses could know them better. This was why some hunters became far more popular than others even when they were weaker.
And to crown it all, Marlon was already famous.
In just a few days after making his first appearance, he had gathered millions of fans. Fan groups had been created in his name and, in that short time, his name had become the most searched on every platform.
Because of this, people around the world wanted updates on how he was faring. They wanted to hear every story about his accomplishments. The lack of information only made them more restless.
It was now afternoon and two students dressed in neat black suits walked together.
Ashton and Logan turned toward the academy gate. A growing crowd had gathered outside. People were protesting and waving placards and large banners. Some were holding pictures of Marlon. One banner showed his face with cat whiskers. The sight made Ashton and Logan chuckle as they imagined how much Marlon would cringe if he saw it.
Seeing the pictures also reminded them of how worried they were about the whereabouts and wellbeing of their friend. Although they were told not to worry, the lack of contact made it impossible.
