Chapter 62: From Fierce to a crazy bodyguard.
CHAPTER 62: FROM FIERCE TO A CRAZY BODYGUARD.
He stood naked before Victoria and the three stunned Alphas, completely unbothered by their gaping stares.
Even the servants as well as body guards in the living room couldn’t help but to put their gaze down, their expression also contorted in shock and utter disbelief.
"What are you doing, Leo?" Victoria asked, her voice tight with panic as she swallowed hard, her eyes wide open in utter shock and disbelief. "You’re no longer invisible! The Alphas can see you now!" she added in a hushed, urgent whisper as she moved closer to Leo.
"I don’t care about that, Victoria," Leo replied calmly, raising his arms into the air in a casual stretch before letting them drop back down. "I already told you....I appreciate nature a lot. I really can’t deal with those tight outfits. Besides, they’re burnt. You don’t expect me to keep walking around in burnt clothes, do you?"
He paused, wrinkling his nose. "You should change your outfit though. You smell like a burnt offering."
"You need to care, Leo!" Victoria shouted, snatching up the tattered pieces of clothing he had torn apart earlier. Her voice dropped to a whisper again as she stepped closer, glancing at the Alphas still frozen in disbelief. "You’ll be regarded as a crazy man soon if you keep acting like this. Now that you’re occupying Eric my bodyguard’s body, you have to act like a human. Blend in. Do things the way humans do if you don’t want people thinking you’ve lost your mind."
Leo stared at her for a moment before scoffing. "Do I look like I care what other people say?" he shot back, raising an eyebrow as he moved to sit casually on a chair, right in front of Auren, Zephyr, and Darius who were still kneeling on the floor, trying to recover from the shock and help each other up.
"And what exactly are you three looking at?" Leo asked with a smirk, his tone dark and laced with menace. "Never seen someone naked before?"
A chill swept through the room. Waves of unease rippled down the spines of the three powerful Alphas as Leo’s gaze bore into them.
In all their years of living on Earth, none of them had ever encountered someone like Leo. They hadn’t even thought it possible for someone like him to exist until today.
"He’s... a crazy man?" Auren was the first to whisper, his voice barely audible as he leaned toward Darius, his throat tightening with fear. "You didn’t say you were bringing a lunatic into this mansion today along with that bitch."
"I swear to the Moon Goddess, I had no idea," Darius muttered back, his eyes still wide as he swallowed hard. "Honestly, it’s a miracle. I still can’t believe I wasn’t bitten in the car..."
"Yes, a miracle," Zephyr agreed in a low voice, nodding solemnly as he wiped sweat from his brow. "Otherwise, you’d be a dead man right now....killed by a lunatic with insane strength."
Victoria took a steadying breath and turned to the still-seated Alphas. Her tone was firm but polite. "Can one of your servants kindly escort my bodyguard to a guest room so that he can change into appropriate clothing?"
"I already told you....." Leo started.
"Just put on some clothes, please," Victoria cut in swiftly, her voice firm but pleading. "You’ll be given free clothes. Loose ones...not the tight ones you hate. Just... stop embarrassing me, please."
She stepped closer, lowering her voice to a gentle murmur only he could hear. "If you really want to protect me....if you’re not here to cause trouble...then please, act like a human. Just enough to keep the peace."
Leo exhaled deeply, clearly irritated but willing to comply for her sake. "Fine, fine," he muttered, shooting a scathing glare toward the three Alphas. "I want to get away from these fools anyway."
Despite the fury on their faces, none of the Alphas moved. They remained where they were, silent and tense. They knew better than to provoke him further. Fighting Leo felt like a death sentence.
"And if any of you dare lay a finger on Victoria..." Leo growled, pausing dramatically as his eyes locked on Auren, Zephyr and Darius"...then you’ll regret ever being born."
With that, he stood from the chair and followed a servant who had bravely volunteered to show him to a room.
As soon as Leo disappeared from sight, Darius rose from the floor with a bitter laugh.
"You didn’t say you hired a crazy man as a bodyguard," he said, dusting off his pants with trembling hands. "A crazy, strong bodyguard. The Ashford family is full of surprises."
He narrowed his eyes at Victoria. "And your bodyguard... does he sleep with you? Is that why he feels so free to walk around naked in the house like he owns the place?"
"Oh please. What the hell are you saying?" Victoria raised an eyebrow as she let out a smirk. "You really can’t be asking me that question Alpha Darius."
"Oh well yeah I am." Darius replied With seriousness etched in his tone all while he folded his arms over his chest.
"I’m not some cheap ass you have fun with. Probably you’re mistaken hence you should look at my face well." Victoria voiced out as she rolled her eyes.
"That’s not even the point!" Auren snapped, stepping forward. His voice dripped with fury, though he stopped short of touching Victoria....Leo’s warning still echoing loudly in his head. "That lunatic insulted us! The three of us Alphas! Just because he can fight, he thinks he’s untouchable?! It seems like he has a death wish that’s just begging to be fulfilled!"
"Fuck!!!" he yelled, kicking the nearest piece of furniture in rage since he couldn’t hit Victoria. "Just get this bitch and her bodyguard out of this mansion! I’m done!"
Victoria stood rooted in place, her fists clenched at her sides, her expression carefully blank. But inside, her thoughts were swirling.
’I don’t think Leo’s going to gain anything here today,’ she thought grimly as she swallowed hard, doing her best to keep her composure.
"I’ll take my leave immediately after my body guard is done changing," Victoria said, her tone serious and unwavering. Her arms were folded across her chest, and her voice held no room for negotiation. "I still don’t understand why Alpha Darius brought me here in the first place, when I should be in school with my peers. If you want to blame anyone, you should blame him. I never asked to be bought here."
"She can’t leave," Darius said suddenly, cutting through the tension.
His words sent visible waves of shock and unease rippling through both Auren and Zephyr. They straightened immediately, eyes darting toward him.
"Are you kidding me right now?..." Zephyr chimed in slowly, his gaze sharp and unreadable. "I never really had an issue with her aside from the fact that I wanted her in my bed." He scoffed and waved a hand dismissively. "But right now? I’d rather pass on that. Instead of bedding her, I feel like punishing her for the insult her insane bodyguard threw my way. He nearly strangled me."
"Exactly," Auren growled, his voice thick with rage as he stepped forward. "This is bullshit. No one dares to mess with the heirs of the academy and gets away with it. You’ve been too lenient with this bitch, just because she reminds you of that girl from your dreams."
"I couldn’t care less about some girl in your dreams," Auren continued, his eyes flashing with fury. "Or about how a kiss from her might trigger some memory in your twisted head. I just want to strangle her! The other students should be having fun bullying the new girl by now. That’s how it always goes. But no, because of you, they can’t."
"Auren!" Darius barked, silencing him momentarily. He exhaled slowly, forcing himself to remain composed as he turned to face Victoria again. "I brought her here for a reason," he said firmly. "She’s my student now. And as I’ve said before, there will be no bullying not while I’m still investigating things. And not even after."
Victoria could only let out a smirk, her hands remained folded on her chest.
"Just send her to your personal mansion then!" Auren snapped, fury returning in full force. "She’s your student, right? Then she should be staying with you! Take her and that psychotic bodyguard along with you. Get them both out of this house before something worse happens!"
"That’s impossible," Darius replied calmly, though there was an edge to his voice. "My elder sister is arriving today, and I’ll be needing a student close by. Not because I need servants but because she must serve me as her master."
His words landed heavy in the air, making Victoria’s chest tighten. Her fingers curled into fists by her sides as she swallowed hard.
"We’ll consider this your first official lesson as my student," Darius continued, now looking directly at her. "I told you lessons had started anyways."
’And how the hell does me serving you be considered lessons?’ Victoria thought to herself with anger etched on her features, her hands fisted beside her. ’Well... I’ll just endure until Leo comes back. Let’s see if he’s able to get anything while we’re here or maybe not.’
