CHAPTER 150: CHAPTER 150: LISTEN, DON’T COME NEAR ME

Gabriel snorted, then lowered his noble head and began to eat.

Sophie Sullivan raised her hand and stroked his mane. It would be really cool if I could ride Gabriel and escape, she thought. I really want to ride Gabriel to the ends of the earth so Thomas Shannon can never catch me again.

"MEOW."

Harry, that annoying little pest, began to claw at her skirt hem, trying to climb up.

Sophie Sullivan frowned and looked down at the persistent Harry. "What in the end do you want?"

Harry kept climbing, determined to reach her shoulder and stand as tall as her.

Sophie Sullivan curiously picked him up by the scruff of his neck and held him up. "Harry, has your maniac master infected you? Is that why you’re pestering me like a madman?"

Harry’s limbs stiffened, and a look of utter dejection crossed his face.

His furry tail drooped.

"Listen, stay away from me, understand?"

Casually placing Harry on the ground, Sophie Sullivan resumed stroking Gabriel’s mane. "Eat more, so you can run faster later and carry me away even faster."

「K Group Headquarters Tower.」

In the grand and imposing President’s Office, Thomas Shannon held a cigarette between his slender fingers, wisps of smoke curling from it.

He picked up a wireless earpiece and leisurely inserted it into his ear.

After listening for a moment, his handsome brow furrowed. Maniac?

He took a deep drag from his cigarette, a cruel smile playing on his lips as he exhaled a cloud of smoke. "You maniac, you’re getting bold! Daring to curse me behind my back!"

Charlie River knocked and entered, a file in hand. Just as he was about to report, Thomas Shannon raised a hand to stop him.

Charlie River saw his Young Master’s face darken as he listened to something, the cigarette smoke curling lazily from the cigarette in his hand. His Young Master’s brows, however, were knitting tighter and tighter.

Could it be... Charlie River boldly guessed, ...the Young Master is eavesdropping on the maniac?

After a good while, Thomas Shannon removed the earpiece and tossed it onto the tabletop, a hint of anger in the gesture.

He snorted coldly, took another drag from his cigarette, and leisurely exhaled a smoke ring.

He lazily raised his eyes. "What is it?"

Charlie River immediately reported, "There’s a meeting in fifteen minutes. Here are the documents for it; please review them."

Thomas Shannon took the documents and began flipping through them, then suddenly stopped. His face darkened. "Notify the butler. Tonight’s dinner is to be prepared by the maniac."

The maniac has to prepare it?

Charlie River was taken aback. "Young Master, are you sure?"

The maniac said she can’t cook anything. Is the Young Master really sure about letting her prepare dinner? Can his picky Young Master even swallow food made by the maniac?

"Charlie River, are you questioning me?" Thomas Shannon’s cold eyes swept over him.

Charlie River felt a shiver run down his spine and quickly lowered his head. "I wouldn’t dare, Young Master. I’ll notify the butler immediately."

Still in the horse stable, Sophie Sullivan was informed by a panting maid that she was to prepare tonight’s dinner, by order of the Young Master.

Sophie Sullivan laughed. "So, he wants to eat dinner prepared by me, does he?"

Thomas Shannon, you’re spurning the easy road and choosing to charge headfirst into hell. If you’re looking for your own demise, then don’t blame me.

Sophie Sullivan rubbed her hands together, eager anticipation written all over her face. "What are you standing there for? Let’s go!"

With those words, she took the lead, eagerly running towards the castle.

Upon entering the castle, Sophie Sullivan saw Amelia Shaw lounging on the sofa while maids massaged her head, arms, and legs.

Seeing Sophie Sullivan enter, Amelia Shaw merely quirked a corner of her mouth slightly and said nothing more.

She had learned from the butler that the maniac was to prepare tonight’s dinner, which was why she had specifically come downstairs.
