Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 267 - 269: Yes, I Find Her Unpleasant to Look At
CHAPTER 267: CHAPTER 269: YES, I FIND HER UNPLEASANT TO LOOK AT
Thomas Shannon’s gaze was finally drawn to Amelia Shaw.
He looked at the enticing plate of chicken wings. Now, she had personally cooked for him, but he no longer felt anything.
If it were two years ago, I would have cherished it even more.
Even if it was witches’ cuisine, I would eat it all and praise her cooking skills.
Time changes everything...
Thomas Shannon’s thin lips faintly opened. Before he could speak, Sophie Sullivan preempted him, "Thomas, feed me some soup."
It was an almost commanding tone, with flaunting arrogance in her eyes.
With a defiant attitude, Sophie stared intently at Thomas Shannon. If he made her lose face in front of Amelia Shaw... then he wouldn’t be able to touch even one of her fingers for a month.
"MEOW..."
Harry’s ear was pinched, causing him to bristle with pain.
Amelia Shaw held her breath, gazing intently at Thomas Shannon. Thomas, don’t agree to her... Don’t pay attention to her!
However, Thomas Shannon only hesitated for a few seconds. Under the tense gazes of Sophie and Amelia, he slowly nodded.
He picked up the steaming bowl of soup in front of him, scooped a spoonful with a porcelain spoon, blew on it gently a couple of times, and then brought it to Sophie’s lips.
Sophie provocatively looked at Amelia Shaw, whose face drained of color in that instant, and drank the soup Thomas Shannon fed her.
She admitted she did it on purpose.
Her hostility towards Amelia Shaw wouldn’t decrease one bit because of Amelia’s feigned vulnerability.
She wouldn’t easily let go of the person who tried to kill her.
This was just the beginning; there were still many days to come...
If she can’t even stand this now, wouldn’t she be angered to death by me later?
"Does it taste good?" Thomas Shannon asked, a faint, meaningful smile on his lips.
Sophie’s lips curled slightly, and she nodded. "Anything you feed me tastes good."
Her words are as sweet as if her mouth were coated in honey, Thomas Shannon thought.
Thomas Shannon chuckled, lowered his head, and took a sip with the spoon Sophie had used.
Then, he nodded gently. "It is indeed delicious."
Amelia Shaw’s fingernails dug into the tray; suddenly, a nail tore.
She lowered her gaze to her finger. A bit of sadness, but more so, heartache...
How could Thomas Shannon do this to me?
For a little maniac... how could he humiliate me like this?
Her face was pale as she stepped back. Tears gradually gathered in her eyes, more and more, until finally, they overflowed, leaving long trails on her cheeks.
Amelia Shaw’s heart felt like it was bleeding. She clenched her teeth. Thomas Shannon, you forced me to do this...
So... don’t blame me!
She turned and ran out of the restaurant.
As Amelia Shaw left, the smile vanished completely from Sophie’s face. She leaned lazily against the chair back. "Amelia Shaw looks very sad. Aren’t you going to comfort her?"
"Isn’t that what you wanted to see?"
The man gave her a cold glance, his gaze sharp and piercing, as if it could see right through her.
The little schemes in Sophie’s heart had nowhere to hide; he saw them all.
Since it was like that, Sophie admitted it openly, "That’s right, I can’t stand her. Who asked her to try and kill me? Showing mercy to an enemy is being cruel to oneself. If I don’t hate her, then I’d be a real fool!"
Thomas Shannon didn’t reply, seemingly uninterested in discussing the topic further.
He said calmly, "Eat."
Sophie snorted. Feeling guilty?
Who was it back then that insisted on protecting Amelia Shaw and hiding the truth from me?
