Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 289 - 291: Calm down, maniac.
CHAPTER 289: CHAPTER 291: CALM DOWN, MANIAC.
What’s this about you being human, but not knowing whether I’m beautiful or not?
Sophie Sullivan was upset. She turned Thomas Shannon’s face toward her, and her smoky, captivating eyes suddenly flared wide. "Thomas Shannon, tell me, what did God give you eyes for?"
"To distinguish beauty from ugliness?"
Sophie was still angry. "So, what am I?"
"Ugly?"
Sophie huffed coldly, clenched her teeth in anger and frustration, finding no way to counter him. All she could do was bark, "Thomas Shannon, you bastard!"
Thomas Shannon looked at the enraged maniac, like a small beast growling in fury. He found her irresistibly adorable, making him want to tease her.
Preferably... squeezing her into his body, lavishing her with his love.
Sophie’s delicate index finger pointed at Charlie River, who was snickering on the side. She scowled and growled, "And you, Charlie River!"
Charlie River coughed twice, finally regaining his composure. He feigned confusion, asking, "What’s wrong with me, maniac?"
"Pretend, you still pretend!"
Sophie looked around, finally spotting Thomas Shannon’s belt nearby. Without a thought, she picked it up.
She stretched it taut in her hand, making it CRACK with a sharp sound.
Charlie River looked embarrassed and took a few small steps back. "Calm down a bit, maniac."
"I’m sorry, I’ve lost my temper and can’t calm down!" She raised her hand, and the belt whipped out like a snake.
Charlie River hurriedly jumped to dodge.
CRACK!
The belt whipped against the wall, sending up a flurry of white dust.
Sophie stomped her foot in anger. "You dare to dodge! Charlie River, I said stand still!"
Charlie River’s gaze slid from her to Thomas Shannon on the sickbed. He said respectfully, "Young Master, I’m sorry! I need to leave!"
Thomas Shannon’s lips hooked into a smile and he waved his hand generously.
Given permission, Charlie River ran off faster than a rabbit, disappearing in a flash.
Sophie took a few steps with the belt, realizing she couldn’t catch Charlie River. She gave up, clutching the belt as she returned to the room.
Panting heavily, she reached the bedside and glared at Thomas Shannon, who was still laughing. At this very moment, he was nothing more than an unscrupulous bastard!
Sophie wanted to pin him down on the bed and give him a thorough beating! To make him aware of why the sky is so blue!
"What, you want to hit me too?" Thomas Shannon raised an eyebrow, his narrow eyes squinting slightly.
An imposing air immediately swirled around him.
Sophie took a deep breath, clinging to the last shred of rationality she had. "I do want to, but I can’t beat you. So, I’ll save my strength. Forget it."
"Very good. Nice to see you know your limitations."
Sophie was speechless. Who needs your praise! I don’t care!
Thomas Shannon extended his hand, his clean, fair palm opening before her. Sophie looked down at his hand suspiciously and asked, "What does this mean?"
"Give me the belt."
What does he want with the belt?
Sophie immediately became wary. She took two steps back, hiding the hand holding the belt behind her. "Tell me first, what do you want the belt for?"
"It’s my belt. Do I need to report to you what I intend to do with it?"
"The belt is in my hands now, so it listens to me."
Sophie wore an expression that clearly said, ’You’re just a patient. What can you possibly do to me?’
Thomas Shannon nonchalantly closed his eyes, his thin lips parting slightly. "I’ll give you five seconds to consider. The offer expires after that. Five..."
Sophie stiffened.
"Four."
Her heart pounded.
"Three."
Sophie rushed to the bedside, covering his mouth with one hand, a disgruntled look on her face. "Thomas Shannon, you’re not playing fair!"
It was one thing if he didn’t acknowledge her beauty; after all, half her face was still ugly. She couldn’t very well force him, either.
