CHAPTER 349: CHAPTER 351: I WILL NOT STOP LOVING YOU

So, where did that leave the maniac?

The thought of the perfect Thomas Shannon being with the maniac made Amelia Shaw’s chest tighten.

Amelia bit her lips in frustration and dived into the water. When Thomas Shannon swam over, she suddenly hugged him.

Her legs wrapped around his slender waist, her body pressed against his.

Her black hair floated in the water, swaying with the current.

The thin, translucent skirt offered no concealment, her shapely curves fully revealed.

Thomas Shannon gripped her waist with one hand, lifting her out of the water. "Are you crazy?"

Water droplets clung to her eyelashes, making her look so very vulnerable. Amelia wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing herself closer to him. "Thomas... I love you."

"Get down."

"No, just let me hold you like this for a moment. I’ve waited for this moment for too, too long."

"Get down first, then we’ll talk."

After some hesitation, Amelia decided against angering him; she had to take things slowly. Him letting her get close was already a good start. She couldn’t push her luck. At least, not yet.

"...Alright." She obediently released him, and Thomas Shannon went ashore.

Amelia followed closely behind. A maidservant serving nearby handed them a towel at the right moment.

"I’ll do it."

Amelia took the towel, raised her arm, and carefully wiped the water droplets from Thomas Shannon’s face.

The soft towel slowly wiped his handsome face, one that could make a heart race. Thomas Shannon’s thin lips remained pressed tightly, not refusing her. He then took a bath towel from a servant’s hand and casually wrapped it around his waist.

Putting down the towel, Amelia cocked her head slightly, her gaze filled with fascination and admiration. "Thomas, do you want some wine?"

She knew very well how much men enjoyed being admired, so her adoring gaze was perfectly measured—not too abrupt, nor overly deliberate.

"You want to drink?"

Amelia nodded, and under her expectant gaze, Thomas Shannon gave a gentle nod.

Amelia immediately had a servant bring the wine. Thomas Shannon lay down on a lounge chair under a sun-shield umbrella.

The pink scar on his shoulder was conspicuous.

Amelia added ice cubes to a wine glass, poured the wine, swirled it gently a couple of times, and handed it to Thomas Shannon. "Thomas, here."

Thomas Shannon took the wine and took a sip.

A faint smile of satisfaction touched Amelia’s lips. She poured herself a glass and began drinking too.

"Thomas... There’s something I’ve been holding back for a very long time..."

Amelia poured herself another glass of wine and downed half of it in one go. "I’ve decided. No matter how long you ignore me, I’ll never stop loving you."

She supported her head with one hand, her still-damp hair cascading over her shoulder. "I’ll use my actions to make up for the mistakes I made back then. You’ll see my sincerity."

"Really?"

Thomas Shannon’s voice was indifferent, betraying no emotion.

His deep, intimidating eyes were calm, without a ripple.

Amelia nodded vigorously. "Yes!"

Thomas Shannon swirled his wine glass, the clinking of ice cubes accompanying his deep voice. "Then let’s see how you perform."

In an instant, Amelia’s heart bloomed with joy! He had just said he would ’see how she performed.’ Did that mean he was willing to give her a chance? If she performed well, could their relationship go back to how it was before?

Amelia put down her wine glass, buried her face deep in her palms, and a choked voice escaped from between her fingers, "Thomas... Thank you."
