CHAPTER 352: CHAPTER 354 I DON’T WANT IT!

Enough already! Sophie Sullivan scoffed disdainfully, turning her head away.

"Maniac, I’m sorry," Amelia Shaw said. "I didn’t know you were going too, so I didn’t prepare anything for you. I hope you don’t mind."

"Whatever." Sophie was even afraid Amelia might try to poison her.

At the foot of the mountain, the group disembarked from the car. Looking at the seemingly endless flights of stairs, Sophie Sullivan felt her legs about to give out. Early in the morning, having eaten nothing, climbing such a high mountain just to watch the sunrise? Sophie leaned against the car door, shaking her head in refusal. "I’ll wait for you in the car."

Amelia Shaw’s lips curved into a smile. This couldn’t be better. At least she knows her place. This way, she could spend time alone with Thomas Shannon, without that annoying third wheel.

Thomas Shannon’s expression turned displeased, his cold aura intensifying. "Come here. We’re already here; you’re not allowed to back out now."

Charlie River instantly moved to Sophie Sullivan’s side, his gaze fixed on her.

This is crazy! I’m going to lose my mind! Sophie Sullivan was roaring internally. She took a deep breath, pursed her lips, let out a cold HMPH, and bypassing Thomas Shannon, walked to the front of the group. Sulking, she rushed to be first, purely to get them out of her sight. Who knew that while she could avoid seeing them, she couldn’t escape hearing them.

From behind, Amelia Shaw’s affected voice reached her. "Thomas... this is our first time watching the sunrise together. An event this meaningful... I have to capture it."

"Suit yourself," Thomas replied.

"Thomas, you’re so wonderful... so wonderful it feels unreal, like I’m walking on clouds."

Sophie Sullivan felt like gagging. That’s truly nauseating. Of course, it’s not real! If Thomas Shannon truly loved you, how could he bear to let you suffer sleepless nights alone in an empty room? So your feeling is right. You *are* walking on clouds, and soon enough, you’ll come crashing down from that cloudscape.

Before they had even climbed a third of the way, Sophie Sullivan was already exhausted. Panting unevenly, she simply sat down on the stairs. She saw Amelia Shaw behind her, holding Thomas Shannon’s arm. From a distance, they truly looked like a couple. The man was strikingly handsome yet cold; the woman, gentle and lovely, wore a smile as sweet as fragrant candy.

Thomas Shannon saw she had stopped and frowned slightly. He walked over and stood before her, looking down at her. His voice, colder than the early morning dew, asked, "What’s wrong?"

"I’m tired. I can’t walk anymore."

Amelia Shaw said softly, "We haven’t even gone a third of the way. How can you be tired already?"

Sophie Sullivan couldn’t be bothered to answer her. Just because she isn’t tired, does that mean no one else is allowed to be?

Thomas Shannon glanced towards the mountaintop and said, "Get up. Keep going for a little longer."

"No way. If I say I can’t walk, I can’t walk. I can’t keep going."

Sophie Sullivan was incredibly delicate, and her body even more so. Her legs were wobbly; forget about going up the mountain, she probably didn’t even have the strength to go down. At this point, nothing anyone said would make a difference.

Charlie River suggested from the side, "Young Master, how about I support the maniac?"

Before Thomas Shannon could speak, Sophie Sullivan interjected with disgust, "I don’t want him to!"

Charlie River: "..."

Amelia Shaw looked troubled. "Then how about you wait here? Thomas and I will watch the sunrise and then come back to meet you."

This was the best compromise. Sophie Sullivan nodded, agreeing.

But Thomas Shannon disagreed. He grabbed Sophie Sullivan’s wrist and pulled her up from the stairs.

Caught off guard, Sophie Sullivan lost her footing, her body suddenly pitching forward. "AH!"

The anticipated danger didn’t materialize; she fell into a hard, firm chest.
