The shorty stretched out a finger from his other hand, and the two snakes each bit one, forcefully sucking the shorty’s blood.

After a moment, the shorty withdrew his slightly pale fingers and pointed to the severed limbs on the ground.

The two snakes reluctantly slithered down from the shorty’s arm, and the moment they touched the ground, they transformed into two huge pythons.

They swept through the severed limbs on the ground as easily as autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves, swallowing everything, not even sparing the mounts.

Even the blood on the ground was siphoned up by their flickering tongues and swallowed.

After eating their fill, their bodies shrank slowly back to their original size and slowly crawled back onto the shorty, burrowing into the pouch once again.

The best approach when facing two Cultivators of such strength was to comply with all their demands.

“Is there a Mu Family in Pingyun City?” The shorty asked while signaling to the brawny man with a glance.

The brawny man nodded to show he understood and picked up Gao Ming with one hand, walking away.

“Don’t kill me, my father is the City Lord of Pingyun City, he can give you anything you want,” Gao Ming thought the brawny man was going to kill him and cried out.

“Look at you, no better than trash.

I’m just taking you somewhere quiet to ask a few questions.

Besides, what kind of Treasure could a minor city’s City Lord have,” the brawny man said dismissively, scratching his ear with one hand.

How did the Mu Family manage to cultivate such fortune to produce a genius capable of joining the Immortal Ancient Academy from such a small city?

“I’ll tell you everything I know, just please don’t kill me.” Once he heard they were not going to kill him, Gao Ming’s anxiety immediately dissipated.

The burly man carried Gao Ming to a secluded corner and gently tossed him onto the ground with a look of disgust.

Those Mu people, relying on their family’s power, have bullied me quite a lot,” Gao Ming said, filled with resentment when mentioning the Mu Family.

The son of the City Lord of Pingyun City was actually afraid of someone in his city, which made Gao Ming feel extremely humiliated.

“Oh?

So you know about a person from the Mu Family named Mu Can?” The short one asked excitedly upon hearing that Gao Ming had a grudge against the Mu Family.

“Mu Can?

Upon hearing about the Mu Family’s disaster, Gao Ming immediately set off to deliver the message as his father had commanded.

Little did he know, he would encounter these two brothers on the way, and his entire escort was annihilated except for himself.

What happened?” The short one asked curiously.

Based on the timeline, Xuanyuan and his party would have arrived in Pingyun City around noon.

Could all this be connected to Xuanyuan?

“I heard from my father that someone came for revenge and killed Mu Family’s Second Master and his two sons.” Gao Ming didn’t know the details but regretted not attending Mu Chen’s wedding.

Those brothers had bullied him often, and if he could have seen them die, it would have been very satisfying for him.

“Oh, so what news are you supposed to report?” The short one nodded, suggesting that although Gao Ming did not know much, he hadn’t lied.

“My father said that the Mu Family’s Fire King Cauldron has appeared, and he sent me to report to Longming City.
