Chapter 32 - 32 32 Possessing Mu Can
32: Chapter 32: Possessing Mu Can?
32: Chapter 32: Possessing Mu Can?
Mu Can lost consciousness and collapsed heavily onto the ground.
Upon seeing Mu Can faint, a smile finally appeared on the aged face of the Elder from the Martial Pavilion.
Purple Cloud, who had always been inside the Reincarnation Pearl, saw this scene and instantly took control of Mu Can’s body with Soul Power.
At this moment, there was no time to worry about any side effects.
Intuition told Purple Cloud that this doddering old man must be plotting something important, and the target was Mu Can lying on the ground.
Although Purple Cloud successfully took control of Mu Can’s body, she found that she couldn’t even move a finger.
It was unknown what method this old man had used, but he had put Mu Can into a deep coma.
Helplessly retreating back into the Reincarnation Pearl, Purple Cloud attempted to pull Mu Can into the Reincarnation Pearl, only to find that even this could not be done.
It was as if she had lost all connection with Mu Can, who now lay there like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, utterly defenseless.
“Can’er, don’t blame me, the Elder also has his lifespan approaching and there’s no other way,” the old man gently picked up Mu Can.
Mu Can felt as light as a feather in the old man’s hands, and was lightly placed on the table.
Looking closely at the massive desk placed by the bed, there were intricate lines on the tabletop forming an Array.
Once Mu Can was placed on the tabletop, the old man placed his hands flat on it, and a tremendous energy surged out from his palms.
The aura of the old man kept rising: Martial King Realm, Martial Venerate Realm, until reaching the Peak of the Human World, the Martial Saint Realm, and then it gradually stopped.
The power of the Elder in charge of guarding the Martial Pavilion was terrifying; what was even more terrifying was his patience.
“Esteemed elder has waited three thousand years to find a descendant of Mu Family whose soul is so compatible.
It’s nobody’s fault, just blame your birth a hundred years too early.
If it wasn’t for you, this old man’s life would not have surpassed a hundred years.
Ah, fate plays tricks on us,” the old man, looking at the unconscious Mu Can, slowly said.
He had been preparing for this day for over ten years, and now everything was in his favor.
This was the best opportunity given by heaven to allow him to transfer his soul and reincarnate, even possibly ascend to the Immortal World once again.
Thinking this, the only bit of reluctance was cast aside by the old man.
To transfer his soul and reincarnate, the most important aspect was resolved.
That was to find a Cultivator whose soul was close to his own, because only a close soul would minimize the backlash when his own soul entered.
“Young body,” the Elder excitedly looked at Mu Can, his eyes filled with desire.
The passage of time had caused his body to age beyond recognition, forcing him to live within the Martial Pavilion, struggling to cling to life.
The Martial Pavilion is a place every disciple of the Mu Family must visit, and it was because of this that the Elder could come into contact with all members of the Mu Family.
Until he encountered Mu Can, and instantly found that Mu Can’s soul compatibility was high enough to provide him a body for possession.
Finally, after such a long wait, the day had arrived, and the Elder from the Martial Pavilion had already begun planning for today’s event.
“Finally, it is going to be successful,” an enormous energy surged from the old man into Mu Can’s body.
Slowly transforming Mu Can’s body; the pure energy from the Immortal World meticulously remodeled every single meridian of Mu Can.
This was the only Immortal World energy left in the old man’s body after all these years since arriving in the Human World, the greatest issue he faced was the loss of Immortal World energy.
In the absence of any way to replenish it, this was also the main reason for his aging.
He could only rely on the Array within the Martial Pavilion to suppress the speed of energy leakage in his body.
“Thinking of possessing, huh.” Purple Cloud, within the Reincarnation Pearl, watched the Elder of the Martial Pavilion and revealed a cold smile at the corner of his mouth.
With the Reincarnation Pearl presiding over Mu Can’s Sea of Consciousness, even the ancestral Elixir Book of the Mu Family couldn’t stay in the Sea of Consciousness.
Now that the Elder guarding the pavilion actually wanted to possess Mu Can, Purple Cloud was not anxious at all, as if watching how the old man would cry later.
Mu Can, transformed by energy while in a coma, occasionally showed a trace of agony on his face, indicating that such a transformation, albeit greatly beneficial to him.
However, it did come with certain pain, but Mu Can, being in a comatose state, couldn’t feel it.
Originally anxious, Purple Cloud now stood with arms akimbo within the Reincarnation Pearl, silently watching the guarding Elder.
“I’ll see how you die,” thought Purple Cloud silently.
If he hurt Mu Can, Purple Cloud would be powerless to help.
Thinking of possessing Mu Can now, he clearly didn’t know how to write the word ‘death’.
As the energy from the Immortal World continuously infused, the body of the Elder of the Martial Pavilion, already stooped, looked even more shriveled, his wrinkles resembling a drought-stricken land.
The pure energy continuously transformed Mu Can’s body.
Mu Can’s aura also kept rising, slowly ascending from Great Martial Master to Martial Arts Sect.
An Immortal World Cultivator, called an Immortal, completely disregarding his own exhaustion to help transform the body, the benefits Mu Can received were immeasurable.
The Elder of the Martial Pavilion darkened, his hands simultaneously leaving the tabletop, and thus the Array stopped.
Carefully sizing up Mu Can, as if observing some rare treasure, the Elder’s cloudy eyes burst forth with astonishing brilliance.
Under the illumination of those two divine lights, Mu Can appeared perfectly transparent, his visibly crisscrossing meridians displayed before the eyes of the Elder of the Martial Pavilion.
“Finally succeeded, heaven helps me too,” the Elder of the Martial Pavilion clapped his hands and laughed heartily upon seeing this.
With hands as old as chicken claws, he gently touched the top of Mu Can’s head.
His expression was like caressing the skin of a dearly beloved.
Watching from within the Reincarnation Pearl, Purple Cloud felt nauseated, and goosebumps littered the ground.
Mu Can groaned, slowly opening his eyes.
“Great-grandfather, what are you trying to do?” Seeing himself lying on the table, with the Elder of the Martial Pavilion looking at him tenderly.
Trying to struggle to sit up, he found that he couldn’t control his body at all, like a mere bystander, not feeling his own body’s presence.
“My dear child, don’t struggle.
After today, I will fulfill your wishes for you,” said the Elder of the Martial Pavilion with a sinister laugh.
Gone was any trace of a kind-hearted old man, he was more like a creature from the Demon World.
“Sister Yun, what’s going on here?
What is great-grandfather trying to do?” Mu Can, still unaware of his predicament, asked in his Sea of Consciousness.
“You silly kid, this old man is clearly trying to possess you, haven’t you realized it?” Purple Cloud spoke irritably.
“Ah?
What should I do then, I can’t move now,” asked Mu Can anxiously.
Even a person from the Immortal World, greatly diminished in strength and suppressed by the Human World, was not someone Mu Can could contend with.
The fate of being possessed seemed unavoidable now, as the Elder of the Martial Pavilion revealed a cruel smile.
