Chapter 35 - 35 35 The Majestic Immortal General
35: Chapter 35 The Majestic Immortal General 35: Chapter 35 The Majestic Immortal General “Does who I am matter to you?
Weren’t you full of confidence just now?” Purple Cloud let out a clear, bell-like laugh as she looked at the Martial Pavilion Elder.
Even as enemies, the Martial Pavilion Elder was a bit captivated; the woman before him was indeed too beautiful.
It seemed like the so-called glance back that brought charm to life was nothing compared to this.
“How dare you be distracted?” Mu Can saw the Martial Pavilion Elder losing focus even while fighting him, so with a burst of speed, he arrived in front of the Martial Pavilion Elder and threw a fierce punch directly into his face.
This punch was without any discount, landing heavily on the Martial Pavilion Elder’s face, causing him to stagger and fall to the ground.
“Ah.” The Martial Pavilion Elder let out a painful wail.
Although he was in a soul state, he still felt the pain when attacked.
“You’re finished.” The Martial Pavilion Elder glared at Mu Can with a fierce look.
Before he could finish speaking, Mu Can had already followed up and mounted the Martial Pavilion Elder.
Another brutal punch almost skewed the Martial Pavilion Elder’s nose.
Fortunately, it was a soul form, otherwise, this punch would have certainly fractured his nasal bone.
“Take that for trying to possess me.” Mu Can, not giving the Martial Pavilion Elder a chance to speak, angrily followed with a backhand punch.
“Take that for looking at my sister Yun.” “Bang” “Ah”
Each punch Mu Can threw was followed by a viciously self-justifying reason, then came the sound of fist meeting body with a bang, followed by the Martial Pavilion Elder’s pained cries.
For the past three months, Mu Can had been suppressing a rage inside him.
From Mu Xing Mu Chen’s provocations to Mu Zi’s betrayal, and Qingyi’s capture, Mu Can’s fury had long been uncontainable.
He hadn’t fully vented his anger even in the fight with Mu Zi, and now, his full rage was unleashed through his fists onto the Martial Pavilion Elder.
Poor Martial Pavilion Elder, who gave up his greatest advantage to come here, ended up being brutally beaten by Mu Can.
“Who am I, where am I, and what am I doing?” The Martial Pavilion Elder was thoroughly bewildered by Mu Can’s relentless beating, asking himself in his mind.
The intense pain twisted the Martial Pavilion Elder’s face out of shape.
“Enough!” the Martial Pavilion Elder bellowed.
Mu Can paused, ready to continue smashing down his fist, looking at the Martial Pavilion Elder with confusion.
Being in a soul state wasn’t without its advantages; even with such an attack, Mu Can couldn’t see the Martial Pavilion Elder’s face bruised and swollen.
“What?” Mu Can held up his fist, looking at the Martial Pavilion Elder, ready to throw another punch if they disagreed.
“I am your ancestor, how dare you strike me?” the Martial Pavilion Elder shouted.
“Screw your ancestor; if you’re my ancestor, then today I shall commit the dishonorable act of defying my teacher and destroying my ancestry.” Mu Can didn’t care for any of that.
If you try to possess me and harass my Purple Cloud, then you are my enemy.
Mu Can had seen the fate of Mu Zi after being possessed by a creature from the Demon World; it was a feeling hardly better than a quick death.
Even Mu Can himself didn’t know if he was so furiously attacking because the Martial Pavilion Elder wanted to possess him, or because he insulted Purple Cloud with words, or maybe both reasons.
“For trying to possess me, for insulting Purple Cloud, for hiding within the Mu Family.” A series of punches landed heavily on the Martial Pavilion Elder’s head.
Mu Can seemed to be repeating the reasons he had given before.
The Martial Pavilion Elder struggled desperately, only to find that Mu Can was still firmly mounted on top of him, no matter how much he writhed, Mu Can was as immovable as Mount Tai, without the slightest stir.
The Martial Pavilion Elder did not see that, while eating and enjoying the show, Purple Cloud’s hand was pointing at him, pinning him to the ground.
There was something Purple Cloud did not say: the Reincarnation Pearl was not only Mu Can’s home ground, but also hers.
With her Immortal Venerable strength in the Reincarnation Pearl, she was inherently in an invincible position, and to play a little trick to control the Martial Pavilion Elder was nothing to her.
She knew that Mu Can had been through a lot recently, and even with his resilient nature, it was inevitable that he would retain some mental scars.
What Purple Cloud wanted was to use this opportunity to let Mu Can vent thoroughly, to prevent those scars from affecting his future cultivation.
Even if Mu Can struck the Elder brutally, the latter would only feel pain and would definitely not be beaten to death.
“Ah.” With an angry roar, Mu Can fiercely punched the Elder’s forehead.
This punch, unleashing all of Mu Can’s strength, struck like a meteor hitting the earth, and it came crashing down.
The Martial Pavilion Elder’s head tilted, his eyes gradually glazed over, and he actually passed out.
“That’s enough, kiddo, tie him up.
He’s still useful, a soul of an Immortal General level can boost your Soul Power by several levels.”
Seeing the Martial Pavilion Elder knocked unconscious, Purple Cloud waved her hand and a golden rope appeared at Mu Can’s feet.
Mu Can was panting heavily.
He shook his fist and slowly stood up.
“That felt great.” Exhaling slowly, Mu Can gradually calmed down.
The recent outburst had left him feeling a bit drained spiritually.
But he felt as if he had just soaked in a spiritual spring, feeling an incredible lightness from head to toe.
Picking up the rope, he carefully tied up the Martial Pavilion Elder.
Although the old fellow had been knocked out by his blows,
Mu Can still harbored wariness towards him.
Such an old-timer, who had lived in the Human World for so many years and plotted for so long just for his body,
his scheming and methods were astonishing to Mu Can.
It could be said, if it were not for the Reincarnation Pearl and Purple Cloud, Mu Can might now be hosting a completely different soul in his body.
“Kid, come here.” Purple Cloud spat out a grape skin with a “pfft” and gestured for Mu Can to come over.
“What’s up?
Sister Cloud.
By the way, what are we going to do with him?” Mu Can walked over to Purple Cloud and asked.
“We’ll keep him for improving the quality of your Soul Power, a soul of Immortal General level is very beneficial for a little Martial Arts Sect practitioner like you,” Purple Cloud said with a slight smile.
Mu Can looked at the unconscious Martial Pavilion Elder, filled with sympathy.
“To think that a Demon General has fallen to such a state, karma really does come around.”
“Alright, come over and have some fruit, you haven’t tried it yet, right?
I just discovered quite a few Spirit Fruits on this floor of the Reincarnation Pearl.
Fill up and I’ll send you out, let’s see if we can improve your Soul Power today,” Purple Cloud called Mu Can over to taste the Spirit Fruits on the table.
Mu Can walked over and picked up a red fruit the size of a thumb, lightly tossing it into his mouth.
The fruit melted as soon as it entered his mouth, turning into a warm current that flowed towards his limbs and bones, and he could feel his recently depleted strength gradually recovering.
“What kind of fruit is this, it’s so effective.” Mu Can hurriedly picked up another and asked.
“The Spirit Fruits grown on this floor of the Reincarnation Pearl are all able to boost Soul Power; I’ve just found out myself.” Purple Cloud said, seeing Mu Can enjoying them, her eyes curved into crescent moons.
