The designer agreed, and only then did Chen Yang leave the advertisement company.

Leaving the advertisement company, Chen Yang drove to the flyer distribution spot, joining the hotel staff, and got busy handing out flyers.

He was busy like this for over two hours.

It was already past four, almost five o’clock.

The agreed time with the advertisement company had arrived, so he prepared to drive back there once more, to check if the project was on track, so the company could contact manufacturers for mass production.

But just as he got into the car and started the engine, his phone rang in his pocket.

Chen Yang looked at it, and it was Annie calling.

Seeing this, Chen Yang immediately answered.

“What’s up, Annie? Have you finished distributing the flyers?”

Receiving Annie’s call at this time, Chen Yang thought she was calling to boast, since they had a bet on who could finish handing out flyers first.

Annie was quite lively, definitely aiming to win.

“I didn’t make your mom fall… By the time I arrived, she was already on the ground. If you don’t believe it, ask them.” Annie responded weakly, pointing to the nearby hotel staff.

The hotel staff all nodded immediately, indicating Annie was telling the truth and that she had no connection.

But that shouting guy sneered and said, “Don’t tell me that, you’re all in this together, naturally siding with her. It’s useless!”

“What do you want then? No way am I giving you money. You’re not going to falsely accuse me.” Although Annie’s voice was weak, her attitude was firm, refusing to back down at all.

This statement thoroughly offended the guy.

“Not paying? Not paying means trouble for you today! You’re coming with me! I won’t leave today without getting compensation for the medical fees!” The man suddenly got angry and reached out to rough her up.

Annie, seeing the hand reaching toward her, was terrified.

But just as the hand was about to touch her, it suddenly stopped!

It wasn’t the man who stopped, but another hand that suddenly appeared, preventing him from moving an inch further.

Annie was taken aback, then turned to see that Chen Yang had arrived on the scene!

“Chen Yang! You’re here!”

The man’s arm was controlled effortlessly by Chen Yang, unable to move an inch despite his struggles, his face turning red.

“Who… Who are you? Why are you interfering? Let… Let me go, or you’ll regret it.” Despite the control and pain, the man’s mouth remained tough, threatening Chen Yang.

Chen Yang chuckled and did not let go.

“Who I am is none of your concern, but this situation—I’m definitely getting involved. You better give me a reasonable explanation, or I’ll make you regret it!” Chen Yang’s tone suddenly turned cold.

The man couldn’t help but shiver upon hearing this.

Originally, with so many people on his side—over a dozen—he was very confident.

But since Chen Yang continued to hold his arm and couldn’t be shaken off, he began to be wary of Chen Yang.

“You’re interfering? Fine, I’ll talk reason with you! My mom is over seventy, an old lady pushed down by that girl. Is it too much to ask for some medical fees?” the man said, thinking he had a point.

“No! I didn’t push her! She fell herself, and I just tried to help her up, but she blamed it on me,” Annie immediately refuted, stating that she hadn’t pushed anyone.

“This girl, my mom is old and would accuse you wrongly? You have no conscience! What a pity, being so pretty!” the man retorted, refusing to back down.

Hearing this, Annie was infuriated, but with Chen Yang present, she was unafraid and wanted to argue back.

However, just as she was about to speak, she was stopped by a gesture from Chen Yang.

Though angry, Annie listened to Chen Yang and didn’t argue further, standing by while Chen Yang handled it.

The reason Chen Yang stopped Annie from arguing was because he knew it would be pointless.

Without surveillance cameras or eyewitnesses around, arguing would lead nowhere.

“You say she pushed the old lady? Where’s the old lady? Can I see the situation?” Chen Yang asked the man.

The man didn’t think much, hearing Chen Yang’s request, he immediately used his other hand to point to the street bench outside the crowd, “Go look if you want, but my mom was definitely pushed by her, no denying it.”

Ignoring what the man said, Chen Yang followed his gesture and, seeing the elderly woman lying on the bench, released his grip and walked over.

The crowd also followed Chen Yang and moved to the side of the bench.
