Chapter 1128: Chapter 1124: A Feeling

Since she had never tried wild mountain beef before, Dai Annie wanted to taste more, so she ordered quite a few dishes.

The three of them ordered nine dishes, four of which were grand dishes!

“Annie, can we really finish all this?” Seeing Dai Annie order so much, Chen Yang couldn’t help but remind her.

Dai Annie originally wanted to continue ordering, but after hearing Chen Yang’s words, she realized she might have ordered too much.

So she put down the menu.

“Let’s just stick with these. As we eat, I’m sure we can finish it.” Dai Annie said.

Chen Yang didn’t say much more after hearing this; he turned around and instructed the waiter not to rush the dishes, and then let the waiter leave.

The rooftop was very spacious and much quieter compared to downstairs.

However, the bustling noise from the busy first floor could still be heard.

Feeling bored sitting, Chen Yang got up, walked to the railing, and watched the customers coming in and out downstairs for a while.

When Chen Yang went to the railing, Dai Annie and Li Han naturally couldn’t sit still and followed him.

While observing the hustle and bustle below, Dai Annie suddenly noticed Lin Hui’s shop across the street.

Although it was already dark, and Lin Hui’s shop lights were off, making it dark, it wasn’t hard to tell it was also a wild mountain beef shop.

Seeing another such shop, Dai Annie was a bit puzzled.

“Chen Yang, why is there also a wild mountain beef shop across the street? Is the business so good around here that there are two?” Dai Annie asked innocently and full of confusion.

Saying that, he also picked a piece of meat, tossed it into his mouth, and savored it.

Dai Annie nodded in agreement, then said nothing further, continuing to pick up more food with her chopsticks.

After this dish was mostly finished, the waiter began serving the second dish.

And so, one dish after another was served, and it took Chen Yang, Dai Annie, and Li Han an hour to have all the dishes delivered.

Although the serving speed wasn’t fast, the stream of dishes never stopped, and it was their own restaurant, so everyone understood without complaining.

By the time all nine dishes were served, Dai Annie and Li Han were just barely full and couldn’t eat another bite.

“Ah, truly satisfying, eating until I’m full every day, I feel like I’m getting fat.” As soon as she put down her chopsticks, Dai Annie worried about gaining weight as she rubbed her belly.

Chen Yang wanted to laugh at her words.

“You realized you’d gain weight yet ate so much; I think you just want to get fat.” Chen Yang said.

“No way, it’s just that the taste is too good, couldn’t help eating more. I’ll restrain myself in the future.” Dai Annie replied playfully.

Chen Yang and Li Han chuckled but said nothing more, sitting quietly for about ten minutes to rest.

When they no longer felt as stuffed, the three stood up together, planning to leave.

Li Han needed to return to the hotel to continue working, and neither Chen Yang nor Dai Annie planned to head back early to rest in Liuhe Village; after being out all day, they were quite tired.

The three of them walked downstairs.

As they reached the second floor, they happened to meet Niu Ming, who was coming upstairs, seemingly about to look for Chen Yang.

“Yang Zi, I was just about to come up to find you, and here you are coming down. How was the meal?” Niu Ming asked with a smile.

Chen Yang nodded, “Very satisfied with the meal, just finished and about to leave.”

“Leaving so soon? Won’t you stay a bit longer?” Niu Ming asked.

“No, we just came for a meal; there’s still stuff to do at home.” Chen Yang waved his hand with a smile, expressing his intention to leave.

Niu Ming originally wanted to sit down and chat with Chen Yang.

But seeing that Chen Yang had matters to attend to, he didn’t insist on keeping them.

“Alright then, let me see you off. I just finished working too.” Niu Ming made space for them and walked downstairs with Chen Yang, to the front desk.

When they reached the front desk, Li Han naturally went to pay the bill.

Niu Ming saw this and quickly stopped her.

“Miss, that won’t do, eating at a family restaurant, there’s no need to pay! Just enjoy yourselves.” Niu Ming said kindly.

Li Han knew Niu Ming, but they weren’t well-acquainted and hadn’t spoken much before.

“Haha, Boss Niu, you’re too kind. Although Yang Zi has a share in the restaurant, business is business, and I should still pay. Otherwise, I’ll feel embarrassed coming next time.” Li Han said with a smile.

“Indeed, Niu Ming, although we’re friends, you should still charge us. It’s awkward not to. Just give us a discount, for formality’s sake.” At this point, Dai Annie suggested from the side, making it less awkward for both parties.

Niu Ming didn’t initially want to accept payment, but after hearing Li Han and Dai Annie, he had no choice but to accept with a smile.

“Alright then, let’s make it 30% off, come by often.” Niu Ming said with a smile.

“Thank you, Boss Niu.” Li Han nodded with a smile and then transferred the payment for the meal.

After paying, Li Han left the restaurant with Chen Yang.

Niu Ming, being very courteous, saw them off to the entrance, and only after seeing Chen Yang, Li Han, and Dai Annie drive away, did he return inside to continue working.

The restaurant was still bustling when Chen Yang left, with quite a few people inside.

Leaving the restaurant, Chen Yang drove straight to the city outskirts.

After parking, Chen Yang chose not to go up to visit Li Han via the elevator.

Instead, he walked with Dai Annie from the underground garage to the hotel entrance, then drove the van back to Liuhe Village.

On the way back, Dai Annie’s stomach was still full, clearly having eaten too much earlier.

She leaned back on the seat, not wanting to say a word, just desiring a quiet rest.

Chen Yang noticed this and didn’t disturb her, driving quietly on the road back to Liuhe Village.

While traveling on the county road, everything was quite peaceful without any incidents.

However, as Chen Yang drove from the county road to the rural road, a subtle change occurred in the surrounding atmosphere.

Although the road ahead and the surrounding bushes and trees remained the same as usual without any differences,

Chen Yang felt that there was something different in the air.
