Phoenix Revenge System
Chapter 37: PRS 37
CHAPTER 37: PRS 37
In country S,
As soon as Demon entered the house, all his family members were gathered in the living room, as if awaiting his arrival.
"It turns out, there really isn’t anything I can keep secret from them," Demon muttered softly as he draped his jacket over the back of a chair.
Seeing his two sons and one daughter peeking out from behind him, Demon immediately sat down and gave his family the news they had been waiting for.
"He didn’t come home because he still has a lot of work to complete there. Besides, he just started graduate school. It’s impossible for him to move now. I don’t want to force him to leave everything he’s worked so hard to build."
"Why can’t he move? We can provide a better education here! The best universities in our country are much more prestigious! He can get a better degree!" protested Almes, Demon’s third child, with a sullen face. He was fed up with being the youngest child, always considered immature by everyone. The arrival of his long-lost sibling was his only chance to erase that distinction.
Demon simply sighed. He ignored the protests and took the DNA test results from his assistant and handed them to his wife.
Mikaela clutched the paper tightly to her chest, her eyes trembling with tears. The daughter who had been missing for 22 years had finally been found.
"Mommy, please be patient. We have to give my little sister time to adjust to this situation. This must be very difficult for her," Liora, Demon’s second child, said softly. "If she can’t come here, we’ll go there to meet her. We have to give in first."
Hearing his older sister’s words, Almes clapped his hands enthusiastically. "You’re right! If she can’t come, we’ll go there! I can’t wait to meet her! She’s sure to be beautiful, just like Mommy!" he said happily.
Mikaela smiled softly, tears streaming down her cheeks. She immediately went upstairs to prepare for her departure to China, followed by her mother-in-law and her two children.
Meanwhile, Demon, her eldest son, Mark, and their father, Yuan, remained silently in the living room, gazing at each other with solemn expressions.
"How’s my granddaughter? Is she okay? Is she healthy?" Yuan asked inquisitively. His voice was deep, but there was an unconcealable hint of curiosity.
Demon stared at his father with a sharp gaze. "As Grandpa suspected, she is indeed Alegra’s descendant. Isabella... she’s like Andra. She looks innocent, but she’s actually quite dangerous. She’s calm, too calm for her age. Intelligent and ambitious. Her eyes... her eyes seem to read people with just a glance."
Demon paused, recalling his meeting with Isabella Clark in XX City a month ago. "In a short time, she’s already made a big splash in the business world. All the businessmen in XX City are starting to take her into account. Even some businessmen from the capital have moved to attract her after she successfully secured a partnership with Lulass Corporation—something no previous landowner had ever managed. This is an extraordinary achievement for someone her age."
Demon’s words piqued Mark’s curiosity. He tilted his head and asked quietly, "Then is your little sister really like Uncle Andra? If she has such a strong character... maybe no one can force her back, right? We’ll have to have a special strategy to approach her."
Demon nodded slowly. "That’s right. Unless she wants to, no one can make Isabella return to the Alegra family. She’s not the type of person who can be forced or manipulated."
Yuan stared intently at his son. "So how did she react when she found out she had a large family? Was she happy? Was she shocked? Or was she just indifferent?"
Demon smiled faintly. "From the first time we met, until I told her who she was, she remained the same. Calm, level, expressionless. It was as if she was used to controlling her emotions. Even my intimidating aura didn’t work on her. I felt like I was facing an impenetrable steel wall."
"Hahaha... she is indeed my granddaughter! Alegra’s blood flows strongly within her!" Yuan chuckled, his face flushed with laughter. But within that laughter, there was a hint of bitterness. He didn’t know whether to be proud or worried, as his granddaughter was the most suitable person to continue the Alegra family’s underground business with Andra.
Meanwhile, in XX City, Isabella was completely unaware that her family had already made preparations to welcome her. She was busy decorating her four new shophouses with Siva, who faithfully followed her everywhere.
Demon’s bodyguards continued to monitor her from afar, ensuring her safety.
"Sis, how about we have Padang rice for lunch? I’ve been so hungry since this morning. My stomach’s been rumbling," Isabella said, her eyes sparkling. "I’m craving chicken curry and goat satay. It feels like I haven’t had delicious Padang food in a long time."
Siva chuckled. "Okay, young entrepreneur. Then let’s go now before you raid someone else’s kitchen. I know when you’re hungry, nothing is safe."
Isabella chuckled. "When I’m hungry, nothing is safe, Siva. You know how I feel when I’m hungry, right?"
As soon as she arrived at the Padang restaurant, Isabella hurried inside and found a seat. The lunch hour meant the place was packed, but Isabella’s elegant aura made people spontaneously make way.
Admiring glances were directed at her. Some even got reprimanded by their partners for staring too long.
Isabella was used to such stares. She sat quietly, ordered her food, and began to eat with gusto. "So delicious... I think I could eat two servings. Or maybe three," she said, sipping her iced orange.
But suddenly —
[DING!]
[New mission – Phoenix System activated.]
[Mission: Save a choking elderly man.]
[Reward: Advanced medical skills + 1 item box. Time: 5 minutes.]
Without thinking, Isabella pressed the [ACCEPT] button. The next second, panicked screams rang out from the right side of the room. An elderly man in his seventies was clutching his neck, his face turning blue.
"Papa! Papa, hold on! Please, can someone help?!" a young woman shouted, trying to call an ambulance with trembling hands.
Seeing the time on the system screen ticking away, Isabella immediately ran. She moved a chair, stood behind the elderly man, then placed one hand on his waist and the other clenched above his navel. With a quick, forceful thrust, she pulled upward.
The first thrust failed.
The second thrust—a finger-sized piece of beef tendon—slipped out. The old man immediately coughed violently and took a deep breath.
The young woman looked at Isabella with tears in her eyes. "Thank you... thank you so much! If it weren’t for you, Papa might not have been saved! You saved Papa’s life! How can I ever repay you?"
"It’s okay. I just did what was supposed to be done," Isabella interrupted softly. "Next time, please be more careful. Make sure your food is cut into small pieces before eating, especially for elderly people."
The crowd slowly dispersed, while Isabella sat back down, sipping her iced orange juice leisurely as if nothing had happened.
[Congratulations! Host has successfully completed the mission.]

Isabella blinked, then smiled. "Phoenix System, display my status panel now. I want to see the changes."

"Hmm... a shadow weapon? What does that mean?" Isabella muttered, staring at the transparent screen in front of her.
[A shadow weapon is a weapon that can be summoned whenever the Host needs it. It is stored in a separate dimension and can only be accessed by the Host.]
"Good. I like flexible gifts like that. This will be very useful for self-protection," she said with a lopsided smile. "Phoenix System, add 25 points to Intuition. I feel this is the most important ability to develop right now."
[Request being processed... Upgrade will be completed in 3 seconds.]
After finishing her meal, Isabella walked to the cashier. However, the restaurant owner refused payment. "Your lunch is free, Miss. Thank you for saving my customer. You are the savior of the day."
Isabella paused for a moment, then smiled softly. "Thank you for your kindness, but I was only doing what a human being should do. It’s our duty to help each other."
The restaurant owner handed me a parcel of chicken curry and rendang. "This is for you. As a thank you. I hope you’ll accept it."
"Then I’ll accept it gratefully. Thank you very much." Isabella took the package and stepped outside, greeted by the afternoon breeze of XX City.
"Looks like I’m quite lucky today," she said softly, opening the transparent screen of the Phoenix System, which was still lit in the air.
On the panel, the intuition score had changed to 45/100, and a symbol shaped like a wing of fire appeared on the left side—a sign that the system was beginning to react more actively to its new owner.
Isabella looked up at the orange sky. "Alright, Phoenix. Let’s see... how far my luck can take me this time. I wonder what else will happen."
