CHAPTER 46: PRS 46

In addition to being sued by Xander’s family for allegedly defaming them, Thania, now behind bars, is also facing numerous other lawsuits that continue to flood in, overwhelming the officers with the sheer number of reports they must process and follow up quickly before trial.

Inside her cell, Thania is suffering terribly. Several women whose husbands are close to her have deliberately paid people to teach her a lesson.

The beautiful face that Thania has always been proud of has been destroyed, and it will be impossible to restore it without plastic surgery.

Her curvy body is almost completely covered in bruises from the abuse she suffered. Thania can only huddle in the corner of her cell, crying, lamenting her plight.

The fame, wealth, and comfortable life she has lived have been instantly destroyed by a small mistake.

If only she hadn’t been reckless, none of this would have happened.

If only she had restrained herself and been less selfish, she wouldn’t be trapped in this cold cell.

If only he had been more careful, everything would have gone according to his will.

If only...

Thania could only imagine, but what could she do? It had already happened, and going back in time was impossible, so she would inevitably have to endure all the bad things and be held legally responsible for all her actions.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Alesio Xander was in a meeting with the board of directors and other company executives. The atmosphere in the meeting room was tense, as she had never expected that, after cleaning up, some of the company executives would still be playing around and ignoring her stern warnings.

Alesio’s intimidating aura made everyone feel suffocated, as if they wanted to kill Malik right now.

Like his name, Malik, this man always brought trouble, dragging everyone down.

Triinggg... tringgg... tringgg...

A loud cell phone rang in the middle of the meeting, startling everyone and making them stare at each other. "Who’s the idiot who wouldn’t silence their phone during a meeting like this?" everyone grumbled to themselves.

Everyone lowered their heads, not daring to look up lest they be hurt. But a second later, they were surprised to hear Alesio’s gentle voice answer the call. It turned out to be from the man’s phone.

Wait, had the sun risen in the west?

Were they hallucinating, glimpsing the cold and cruel man’s smile?

Alesio ignored everyone’s confused looks and answered the phone casually, "Hello, what’s up?" he asked.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Alesio. Am I interrupting you? You seem busy, huh? I heard it was pretty quiet," Isabella asked on the other end of the line, which, of course, only Alesio could hear.

But because it was so quiet, everyone could faintly hear that it was a woman on the other end of the line.

"Not really, why? Is there anything I can help you with? Or is there a problem with our project?" Alesio asked back in such a gentle tone, it made everyone in the room drop their jaws in shock.

Even Alexo, standing behind Alesio, felt goosebumps, rubbing the back of his neck several times.

Although Alesio’s face remained expressionless, the tone of his voice and the aura of happiness radiating from his eyes were unconcealable.

"Mr. Alesio, do you have a moment? I’d like to meet you. There are several things I’d like to discuss in person before returning to City XX. This is quite important, and I think it would be better if we discussed it in person," said Isabella.

"How about now? I can arrange a time. It just so happens this meeting is almost over," Alesio decided without hesitation.

"Okay, Chinese Restaurant, private room 08. I’ve already reserved the place. I hope you don’t mind my choice," Isabella replied quickly.

"Okay. I’ll be there in fifteen minutes. Wait for me there, don’t go anywhere," Alesio said in a warmer tone.

"Okay, see you there, bye, Mr. Alesio. Be safe on the road," Isabella said before hanging up.

As soon as the call ended, Alesio returned to staring intently at everyone in the meeting room.

"I want all those rats taken care of, and I don’t want to hear any excuses! We’ll meet again tomorrow morning, and make sure you don’t make the slightest mistake tomorrow! I don’t want to hear any excuses or defenses. What I want to see are results. Understand?" Alesio said, ending the meeting that had been heated for the past two hours after he learned that there were still rats that had escaped his slaughter.

Everyone was still confused by Alesio’s change in demeanor. When the man came out, they remained frozen in shock.

What’s going on!

Is this still Alesio Xander!

The CEO of Lulas Corporation, known for being cold, rigid, and strict, never friendly to anyone, especially women, could now speak so softly on the phone?

Who exactly was that woman?

Was it Miss Isabella, as rumored?

Whoever could turn a ferocious wolf into a docile cat would surely support them.

With the arrival of the phone, everyone’s lives were saved. The tense atmosphere had completely dissipated, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief.

"Phew, I almost lost my life. I thought today was my last day," Malik said, loosening his tie with a sigh of relief.

Everyone immediately glanced sharply at the stocky man with the bushy mustache. One of his colleagues standing beside him stood up and patted him twice on the shoulder. "Fix your problems immediately if you don’t want to die tomorrow. You saw how angry Mr. Alesio was just now, right? If there are still problems tomorrow, don’t blame us if you get fired," warned his colleague, Dion, as he left.

As soon as Dion left, everyone in the meeting room rose from their seats one by one, returning to their respective workstations after two hours of tense, tense atmosphere, as if their lives could be lost at any moment.

***

In the Chinese restaurant, private room 08, a girl was fiddling with her iPad, trying to add space to the building design she planned to present to Alesio later.

Isabella seemed focused on the plans for the school and hospital she planned to build, until her attention was diverted when she heard a knock on the door.

As soon as the door opened, a tall, dignified figure entered the room. The masculine scent wafting from his body filled the room, causing Isabella to involuntarily close her eyes, savoring the calming scent for a moment, before opening them again and greeting him warmly, "Mr. Alesio, please sit down. Thank you for your time," she said.

After ordering the waiter to serve the dishes, Isabella handed Alesio the iPad she was holding. "I want to collaborate with Lulas Corporation to build several schools and hospitals for patients with heart problems. This is a project that means a lot to me, and I hope you can help make it happen."

What Isabella said piqued Alesio’s interest. "These are all the locations you want to build schools? Wow, that’s quite a lot. Have you surveyed all these locations?" she asked, reviewing the detailed plans on the iPad.

"Yes. Do you have any suggestions, Mr. Alesio? My target is villages that are difficult to reach by transportation. As for teaching staff and school equipment, don’t worry, sir; I have links that can help make that happen. I’ve also contacted several volunteer teachers who are willing to be placed in remote areas. They are very enthusiastic about this program," Isabella explained her wishes to Alesio, hoping he would understand her wishes and help her build the school she envisioned.

The idea of building schools in remote areas first came to her mind during an orientation period on campus and a discussion with several colleagues from other majors, particularly education and teaching. They highlighted the lack of educational facilities, especially in remote villages that are difficult to access by vehicle.

They observed this during their Community Service Group there. Students had to walk up to 3 km to get to school.

Even then, the terrain they traversed was challenging, making many residents reluctant to send their children to school. Besides the distance and the high cost, the road to the school was quite dangerous, especially during the rainy season, when the ground became slippery and made it difficult for passersby to avoid slipping and falling into ravines.

Based on this experience, the Orange Campus master’s students attempted to submit proposals to the government to build schools in several areas where residents were enthusiastic about progress, but they feared the dangers involved, ultimately putting education aside.

Now, Isabella had a substantial amount of money. If it wasn’t used wisely, it would be a waste.

Alesio, recognizing Isabella’s good intentions, was happy to help realize her noble ideals.

He immediately instructed Alexo to survey the location of the school Isabella planned to build, assess the existing conditions to determine the exact location, and apply for permits.

Seeing Alesio’s positive response, Isabella felt relieved. At least, with Lulas Corporation behind her, processing the permits would be easier than doing it herself.

As soon as the food arrived, Isabella and Alesio quickly devoured the food served on the table. Alexo and Siva, who were also eating at a separate table but still in the same room, did the same.

Seeing the gleam of happiness in Alesio’s eyes, Alexo felt happy. Although firm and seemingly cruel in his actions, Alesio was actually a warm and kind person.

The man’s many unsung acts of kindness were known only to him. Now, seeing his boss finally find happiness after the devastating storm that had struck, Alexo felt happy too.

All good deeds will surely be rewarded. And vice versa.
