Phoenix Revenge System
Chapter 50: PRS 50
CHAPTER 50: PRS 50
[DING!!!]
[New mission]
[Mission: Rescue workers from collapsed buildings.
Reward: A 3-story luxury house in a student town worth 10 million Rupiah and 2 item boxes
Time: 5 minutes]
[ACCEPT] [REJECT]
"Damn! Why is time going so fast?" Isabella grumbled, immediately inviting Siva back to the project while pressing the [ACCEPT] button. "Five minutes? Phoenix System, can’t you give me more time? This is too short!"
[Time has been adjusted to the level of urgency. The Host must act immediately]
"Okay, okay. Siva, we have to hurry!" Isabella exclaimed urgently.
Because time was running out, the two of them headed to the project on a motorcycle they had borrowed from the marketing officer currently on guard duty at the project site.
"Hurry up, Siva, there’s danger on the project site," Isabella said, prompting Siva to accelerate the borrowed motorcycle at full speed. "I can’t explain now, but trust me. This is very urgent!"
"Okay, Boss! Hold on tight!" Siva replied, turning the throttle harder.
Whoosh...
Alesio and the engineering team, who were discussing the situation, were shocked to see Siva and Isabella riding their motorcycles so fast. Suspecting that the brakes on the two girls’ bikes had failed, everyone rushed after them, fearing an accident.
"What’s going on? Why are they riding like that?" Alesio asked with a frown.
"I don’t know, sir. But it looks like something urgent has happened," one of the engineers replied, running after them.
Isabella searched for a two-story building under construction and, upon finding it, immediately directed Siva to it.
"There! Over there! That unfinished two-story building!" Isabella pointed with a trembling finger.
The hologram screen in front of her showed that the mission had one and a half minutes left.
As soon as she arrived, she shouted, "Sir, get everyone out of the building now!" she said in a loud, panicked voice. "This is an emergency! Please, don’t ask any questions! Get out now!"
Seeing that the worker she had asked for help was a little dazed, Isabella, short on time, immediately ran into the half-finished house as soon as Siva’s motorcycle stopped.
"Get out! Get out! It’s dangerous!" she shouted, pushing all the workers out. "This building is going to collapse! Hurry! Don’t take any belongings! Your lives are more important!"
Although confused, all the workers followed Isabella’s panicked instructions.
"What’s the problem, Miss? Is there an earthquake?" asked one of the workers as she ran out.
"No time to explain! Get out!" Isabella urged.
"Is anyone still inside?" Isabella asked, making sure, as she counted the workers who had already left.
"Miss, he’s still upstairs, Miss," said one of the workers with a worried expression. "He’s wearing a headset all the time. He definitely didn’t hear our screams!"
"Damn!" Isabella cursed.
Seeing that the mission was about half a minute away, Isabella quickly ran up the half-finished ladder to the second floor and grabbed a worker who was plastering the wall, wearing a headset so he couldn’t hear everyone’s shouts.
"Hey, what’s going on?" Before she could recover from the shock of Isabella’s rough tug, the girl suddenly jumped as the second floor collapsed.
BRUUKK!
Everyone stared, shocked, not expecting the second floor to collapse. Amidst the dust, Isabella emerged, carrying Nono on her back, prompting a sigh of relief from the workers.
"Thank God! Miss Isabella is safe!" one worker shouted, clapping.
"Oh my God, we thought Miss was going to be crushed!" another added, tears welling in her eyes.
"What happened? How are you? Are you injured?" Alesio asked repeatedly, turning Isabella over, checking for any injuries she might have sustained during the rescue operation. "Isabella, say something! Are you okay? Is anything hurt?"
"I... I’m fine, Alesio. Calm down," Isabella replied, catching her breath. "Just a little dusty, no injuries."
Meanwhile, Nono, who had been lowered from Isabella’s back by one of her colleagues, was still in such shock that he couldn’t stand. "That was really scary," he muttered, his body trembling. "I almost died... almost died..."
"Sir, please check all the houses thoroughly. Especially the roofs and the building. Someone is deliberately sabotaging the project," Isabella said, prompting Domi, the head of engineering for the Lura Estate project, to quickly gather his three foremen to inspect each house and hold them accountable, especially foreman Dito, who was in charge of the two-story house that had just collapsed.
"This is serious, Mr. Domi. This isn’t an ordinary accident. This is premeditated sabotage," Isabella added with a serious expression.
"Yes, Miss. I’ll handle this immediately," Domi replied, giving instructions to the foremen.
"Boss, thank you for helping me. If it weren’t for you, I don’t know what would have happened to me," Nono said sincerely, bowing deeply. "My life is now thanks to you. I owe my life to you."
"You’re welcome, Sir. Next time, if you’re working alone, don’t wear a headset so you can hear any warnings or orders," Isabella said gently. "Workplace safety is paramount. Music can be heard at any time, but you only have one life."
Nono, reprimanded, lowered his head in shame. "Sorry, Boss. I won’t do it again," he said regretfully. "I promise I won’t wear a headset while working again."
"This applies to everyone. Working on a project, accidents are highly likely if we’re not careful and focused on what we’re doing. We’ll be evaluating this house. Fortunately, the incident was discovered quickly and didn’t result in any casualties. So, we hope the foreman and all the workers will understand that we’ll be conducting an investigation on each person involved," Isabella explained in a firm but polite tone.
Isabella’s words caused everyone to fall silent, with their heads bowed. Among the six workers, Isabella noticed two men glancing at each other and acting strangely, so she signaled Siva to keep an eye on them.
"Siva, keep an eye on those two. Don’t let them escape," Isabella whispered softly.
"Ready, Boss," Siva replied with a small nod.
[Congratulations!] The host successfully completed the mission and was awarded a three-story luxury house in a student town worth 10 million Rupiah and two item boxes.
Because of her precarious situation, Isabella ignored the Phoenix System’s notification and planned to open her item box later when she had some free time.
[Phoenix System, what do you think about those two workers?] Isabella asked herself.
[Judging by their expressions, both of them were now terrified. This sabotage case was most likely related to them.]
What the Phoenix System said was indeed Isabella’s thoughts. However, they had no evidence, so they couldn’t arrest them based on mere assumptions.
Isabella signaled Siva to stay where she was and keep an eye on the two men, while she went to Alesio and Domi, who were interrogating the foremen and inspecting each of the completed houses.
"Phoenix System, what’s in the item box this time? I also want to see my status panel." Isabella, who had initially intended to open the item box later, was ultimately curious, as the system usually gave rewards based on her needs.
[This item box contains an inspection card, a bottle of honesty pills, and 500 points, which will be immediately credited to the system.]
[The other item box contains a one-hour water survival card, a 10-hour death-loss-of-heartbeat card, and 300 points, which will be immediately credited to the system.]

"The inspection card can be used twenty-five times. What about the other cards? Are there any effects?" Isabella asked curiously.
[The other cards can only be used once and have no side effects, except for the "dead" card, which has the side effect of causing the Host to experience amnesia for one day after use.]
"One-day amnesia? That’s quite dangerous. I have to be careful using it," Isabella muttered.
Isabella nodded in understanding. As soon as she joined Alesio and Domi, along with the three foremen entrusted with building the house, she immediately used the tools provided by the Phoenix System.
"Phoenix System, inspect this house," Isabella commanded mentally as she entered one of the buildings.
[Request being processed...]
After waiting five seconds, the system beeped again.
[Building safe, no problems]
After hearing Phoenix System’s words, Isabella felt relieved. She then proceeded to the next building, still having the system inspect each building she entered.
Of the ten houses being built, only two had problems that weren’t as major as the previous two-story building.
The two problematic houses and the one that nearly caused six workers’ injuries were all built by the same foreman, prompting Alesio to flag the foreman for negligence. The engineering team would, of course, evaluate the pot-bellied man’s performance to determine whether to continue his contract.
"This is too much of a coincidence," Alesio said, looking at his notes. "Three problematic houses, all from the same foreman."
"Yes, sir. This is suspicious," Domi added.
Isabella, who saw that all of the foreman Dito’s homework was problematic, advised Alesio to stop using him to avoid damaging the project’s reputation.
"Alesio, I think foreman Dito should be fired. This isn’t a small mistake. It could endanger the lives of many people," Isabella advised seriously.
"I agree with you. I’ll do it immediately," Alesio replied.
In addition to ordering Alesio to fire foreman Dito, Isabella also instructed him to investigate Dito because she suspected that someone else was deliberately infiltrating the project and wanting to cause trouble.
"And one more thing, please investigate Dito. I suspect he’s working for someone. One sabotage might be a coincidence, but three? That’s definitely a set-up," Isabella added.
"Okay. I’ll have Alexo investigate," Alesio replied, typing a message on his phone.
Fortunately, the problem was quickly discovered and resulted in no casualties; otherwise, the project’s reputation would have been tarnished.
Foreman Dito, sensing that his fraud was being discovered, immediately left, claiming he was going to inspect another project of his.
"Excuse me, sir. I have to go. There’s another project that needs my attention," Dito said, breaking out in a cold sweat.
"Another project? Where?" Alesio asked sharply.
"In... the north, sir. A small project," Dito replied haltingly.
Of course, no one could stop him, as there was no evidence before an investigation was launched.
Alesio immediately signaled Alexo to follow Dito, while Siva was now following two of Dito’s workers who had also left the project, riding a motorcycle belonging to one of the project’s marketing representatives that he had borrowed.
"Alexo, follow Dito. Don’t lose track of him," Alesio whispered.
"Ready, sir," Alexo replied, walking to his car.
Isabella stared at Dito’s retreating back with a sharp gaze. "We’ll find out who’s behind all this," she muttered softly.
