CHAPTER 61: PRS 61

Orion, visited by his nephew, couldn’t believe that Elie and Nana had been caught and were currently being interrogated by Andra.

"Damn! If this continues, all our plans will be ruined. I have to find Mr. James immediately and discuss it. This can’t be allowed to continue like this. Everything we’ve been preparing for months could be ruined in an instant!" Orion thought frantically as he paced back and forth in his living room.

Seeing his uncle about to leave, a terrified Cisko tugged at the hem of Orion’s shirt with trembling hands.

"Uncle, what about me? If I go home, I might lose my life. They must already know my involvement in all this. I’m scared, Uncle," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"You’re staying here for now. Remember, no matter what happens, tonight you must not leave the house. Don’t open the door for anyone, don’t answer the phone, and don’t try to contact anyone. Understand? If you don’t obey, I will no longer guarantee your safety," Orion said sharply, glaring at his nephew.

Cisko nodded quickly and immediately entered the guest room he usually occupied when visiting his uncle. His hands were still trembling as he opened the door.

Once inside, he immediately locked the door and made sure the windows were tightly closed. He even drew the thick curtains so there was not even the slightest gap for peeping from outside. Then, he immediately curled up, hiding his body under the blanket.

"They couldn’t possibly be looking for me all the way here, right? Uncle Orion can definitely protect me. He always knows how to handle things. Yes, I have to trust him," he said, his lips trembling as he hugged a pillow tightly.

Meanwhile, the small fly that had been clinging to the back of Cisko’s neck had now landed on Orion’s nape and followed him to meet with the left-wing prime minister to report everything that had happened.

Seeing that the left-wing prime minister wasn’t in his residence, Orion immediately dialed his personal cell phone, unprepared for the pot-bellied man’s wrath. His hands were sweating slightly as he pressed the call button.

"What’s wrong, Orion? If this isn’t important, I’ll have your head. You know full well I’m with my family tonight!" James said viciously in a high, ear-piercing tone.

"Sorry to interrupt your time, sir, but I have something very important to tell you. It’s urgent and can’t wait until tomorrow. It concerns the continuity of our entire plan, sir," Orion said worriedly, trying to keep his voice calm.

Hearing the tension in Orion’s voice, James told his wife to go downstairs while he continued. "Wait a moment," he said to Orion before briefly turning off the speakerphone.

In her great-grandmother’s room, Isabella, who had successfully tapped Orion’s phone using a fly, this time right behind her ear, could clearly hear everything the two men were talking about and had recorded it for future use.

"Phoenix Systems, make sure this entire conversation is recorded clearly. This will be crucial evidence in exposing all their crimes," Isabella whispered softly.

James was immediately enraged and smashed his phone so hard that it cracked after hearing Orion’s full report.

"Stupid! You’re all stupid! How could Elie and Nana be caught so easily?!" he shouted furiously.

He then used his other phone to call Romano, his hands still trembling with anger.

Romano, hearing that his master plan had been ruined by Elie, ordered James to immediately throw Orion away and to keep him quiet until he gave further instructions.

"Listen carefully, James. Now is not the time to panic. We need to stay calm and carefully consider our next move. Tell Orion not to do anything. I’ll contact you again once the situation is more conducive," Romano said coldly.

As Orion had suspected, as soon as Elie exposed Romano’s master plan, the Dark Evil members had already cleared the hall where the party was taking place. They moved swiftly and with great organization.

Romano’s decision to remain silent and wait for the right moment was correct. He was a seasoned player who knew when to advance and when to retreat. If he didn’t, his position would be lost tonight, and all his hard work would be for naught.

Isabella and Andra, watching Romano and his accomplices retreat in an orderly fashion, felt a little relieved. At least, this peace could be maintained until Berti’s birthday party ended without further incident.

"It seems your efforts to scare them have worked. I must admit, you are indeed an extraordinary girl, Isabella," Andra said proudly, smiling at her niece.

"Hmm, facing such cunning people, we must be more cunning. They won’t back down if we only use methods that are easily discernible," Isabella said, staring ahead with a strange glint in her eyes.

Her goddess’s eye couldn’t be deactivated, so she had to start getting used to the astonishing sights before her. This ability allowed her to see things she shouldn’t have.

"Oh my God, my eyes are truly tainted by this special ability. Phoenix System, why didn’t you give me a more detailed warning about the side effects?" Isabella grumbled again inwardly, cursing her misfortune in activating this goddess’s eye.

Isabella’s shy, blushing face made several people who accidentally passed her feel excited and curious.

"What family is that beautiful girl from? I want to take her home as my daughter-in-law. Look how graceful she is," said the middle-aged woman, exasperated by Isabella’s blushing face and the assumption that she was shy.

Isabella, ignoring everyone’s thoughts, which she could clearly hear when she glanced at them, tried to focus on her main task tonight.

"Phoenix System, what special ability is this! Instead of being beneficial, it makes me feel dizzy and look like a pervert. I can hear all their dirty thoughts!" Isabella cursed the Phoenix System again for not giving her a proper reward.

Isabella, still unaccustomed, chose a quiet place to chat with her Phoenix System. She leaned against a hidden corridor wall.

[This is a magical ability. The Host must strive to control it well to gain the advantage. After all, knowing everyone’s secrets will make the Host more wary of enemies.] This is a blessing, not a curse.]

Isabella confirmed what the Phoenix System said after a moment of thought.

"So this means I’m just too perverted? My mind is wandering too much?" she asked in disbelief.

[Yes, it’s just the Host who’s overthinking. If it were normal, this wouldn’t be so exaggerated. The Host should learn to filter incoming information.]

The Phoenix System’s words made Isabella close her eyes for a moment and take a few deep breaths before opening them again, raising her fists.

"You have to do it, Isabella! This is your chance to protect your family!" she said enthusiastically.

After feeling better and regaining control, Isabella saw that it was almost time for the birthday cake cutting, where all her family members would take the stage and gather. She quickly made her way out to where her family was.

Morgan Elio Cromson, who happened to be watching everything Isabella did, was amused by the beautiful girl’s adorable appearance. He carefully observed her every move from a distance.

"So, she’s my missing fiancée. Very interesting. More interesting than I imagined," Morgan murmured with satisfaction as his eyes took in the sight of the beautiful, adorable girl he’d seen earlier, gathered with Alegra’s immediate family.

When the main event arrived, all of Alegra’s family members appeared on stage to blow out the candles on the large birthday cake before the old woman. Spotlights illuminated the stage beautifully.

At Berti’s birthday party, which was also attended by representatives from all the capital’s journalists, everyone focused on the beautiful girl who had been attracting everyone’s attention. She was now standing right next to Berti, making the two seem like two peas in a pod, but from different generations.

"Is that Berti’s youngest granddaughter? She’s so beautiful. She looks exactly like her great-grandmother when she was young. Amazing!" everyone murmured in praise, whispering to one another.

As expected, at this birthday party, Berti would officially announce the whereabouts of her youngest granddaughter, who had been missing for 22 years.

The cheers and flashes of the cameras of the capital’s journalists, who had been given space to cover the event, were nonstop, snapping photos of Isabella and the Alegra family on stage. Camera flashes flashed nonstop.

"How do you feel, King? Your fiancée is so beautiful and graceful. You’re a very lucky man," said Aaron, who suddenly appeared beside Morgan with a mocking smile.

"Very satisfied. She even exceeded my expectations," Morgan replied firmly, not taking his eyes off Isabella.

"But I think your enjoyment will be a little spoiled if you see this. You’d better get ready," Willi said, handing Morgan his phone with a serious expression.

After confirming that the beautiful girl was the Alegra family’s youngest granddaughter, Willi, having already seen her beautiful face, was able to easily find various information about the girl, whose name was Isabella Clark, as she was before being found by the Alegra family.

As a successful, beautiful, and kind young ruler, Willi easily obtained information about Isabella, as there was a lot of news about her on social media in Country I.

Even the beauty of the girl, who was currently in a relationship with Country I’s number one ruler, Alesio Xander, became a trending topic in several countries the two had visited on vacation. Their romantic photos were everywhere.

"Tsk, he’s not as handsome as me, so why worry? I’m Morgan Elio Cromson, no one can match my charm and power," Morgan said confidently, handing back Willi’s phone.

"That’s right. He’s just the number one businessman in Country I, a small country no match for King Cromson of Country S. You’re far superior, sir," Devid said in an exaggerated, fawning tone.

"But the heart is unpredictable, so you’d better try harder, bro. Don’t be overconfident," Willi said, patting Morgan’s shoulder several times before leaving to meet Andra, who was meeting with several people who also had underground businesses like them.
