CHAPTER 70: PRS 70

"What did you say?! There’s an intruder in Isabella’s apartment!" Jery asked, shouting slightly to confirm his hearing, as he rose from his seat in shock.

"That’s right. But when I checked the CCTV, I didn’t see anyone entering or approaching the boss’s unit. Likewise, the CCTV camera from outside the building, which looked directly out onto the bedroom balcony, showed no activity. But strangely, there were two packages of instant noodles in the trash. The cutlery had also been washed freshly after use. Furthermore, the intruder slept and showered in the boss’s room. But there was no trace of him anywhere," Siva said, rubbing her face in frustration and breathing heavily.

"You mean the person just disappeared without a trace? How is that possible?" Jery asked, his brow furrowed.

"I don’t understand either! That’s why I came here to ask for your help!" Siva replied in a panicked tone.

Arkan fell silent as he listened to his friend’s story. If this case were reported to the police, without any evidence and no trace of the perpetrator, especially since only two packs of instant noodles were missing, the police would surely laugh at them if they dared to report it.

"The police would definitely think we were crazy if we reported the theft of two packs of noodles," Jery muttered, shaking his head.

"Isn’t there CCTV in the apartment? Why didn’t you check it?" Jery asked, remembering that Isabella had mentioned installing CCTV in her apartment just in case.

"I’ve thought about that! But how can I check it? The program is connected to the boss’s phone. I can’t access it," Siva said with a rough, frustrated sigh.

"Don’t worry, I have a friend who’s an IT expert and can ask for help. He’ll definitely be able to hack the system," Jery offered a solution, taking out his phone.

"Really? Thank goodness! I was so worried!" Siva said with a sigh of relief.

The two of them immediately got into the car to pick up Jery’s friend and take him to Isabella’s apartment to check the CCTV inside the residence.

"Good, please help us. This is urgent," Jery said to his friend over the phone.

Fortunately, the heavy rain and wind weren’t as bad as yesterday, so Siva was able to drive to Jery and express his concerns, as the communication network was still down.

"At least the weather today is better than yesterday. We can move around more freely," Siva said, driving carefully.

After an hour’s drive, the three of them arrived at the apartment and entered Isabella’s unit.

"So this is your boss’s apartment? It’s so luxurious," Bagus commented, looking around with sparkling eyes.

"Focus on our work, Bagus. You’ll be amazed later," Jery said, patting his friend on the shoulder.

Once inside, Jery’s friend, Bagus, fiddled with the mini CCTV installed in the apartment.

"Hmm... the system is quite sophisticated. But it’s not a problem for me," Bagus muttered, quickly typing some codes on his laptop.

"Can it be penetrated?" Siva asked anxiously.

"Wait a minute... almost... yes! It worked!" Bagus exclaimed with a satisfied expression.

Siva and Jery’s eyes widened when they saw who had appeared in the apartment last night and caused such a commotion.

"Isabella!"

"Boss!"

They both shouted in unison, their eyes wide with shock, as they stared at each other in disbelief.

"No way! The boss is in Country S right now!" Siva said in a trembling voice.

"But this is clearly Isabella’s face! I didn’t see anything!" Jery replied, pointing at the laptop screen.

Watching Isabella’s actions last night left them speechless, unable to form a single word.

"This... doesn’t make sense," Siva muttered, her face pale.

"Is this human or not?" Jery asked, confirming the situation, as he witnessed Isabella suddenly appear in the room at night and disappear into the room the next morning.

"I don’t know. But seeing her eat, I think she’s human. Ghosts don’t eat instant noodles, right?" Bagus said, replaying Isabella’s appearance and disappearance several times with a serious expression.

"But how could she suddenly appear and disappear? It’s like a science fiction movie!" Jery exclaimed, ruffling his hair in frustration.

Unfortunately, the place where Isabella appeared and disappeared wasn’t captured by CCTV, so they couldn’t conclude anything.

"She came out of the walk-in closet the night she appeared, and she disappeared this morning after entering the walk-in closet..."

After Bagus finished speaking, the three of them immediately ran into Isabella’s room and headed to the walk-in closet to check on her.

"Hurry! There must be something in that walk-in closet!" Siva shouted, running ahead.

Seeing Bagus pull out a metal detector from his bag, Jery narrowed his eyes. "Don’t tell me you suspect there’s a time machine here?" he asked in disbelief.

Bagus, seeing Arkan’s thoughts, chuckled lightly until the device suddenly beeped loudly.

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!"

"There’s no way there’s a time machine here!" Siva shouted in shock, taking a few steps back.

"Or maybe a dimensional portal?" Bagus joked, his eyes intently focused on the device.

Bagus was so excited that he carefully searched behind Isabella’s wardrobe.

"There must be something here that can be used as evidence!" Bagus muttered, carefully examining every corner.

Seeing something amiss, Bagus immediately pushed open the back of Isabella’s wardrobe and found a wooden door with a built-in safe inside.

"Aha! Found it!" Bagus exclaimed, his eyes sparkling.

"It’s just a safe that can only fit one head, so it can’t possibly be a time machine," said Jery, quickly explaining the size of the safe to prevent Bagus’s brain from wandering, while rolling his eyes.

"Yes, you’re right. It’s too small for a time machine," said Bagus with a disappointed tone.

Having found the safe, Bagus’s face fell slightly. However, he remained enthusiastic, circling Isabella’s walk-in closet with his detector.

"Don’t give up. There must be other clues," said Siva, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes.

Finding nothing, the three of them continued discussing the figure resembling Isabella, who appeared on the CCTV with a tense expression.

"This is truly confusing. How can someone appear and disappear without a trace?" complained Jery, sitting on the floor in frustration.

"Since she appeared at night and disappeared in the morning before the sunlight came through the bedroom window, if it really is a spirit, we’ll try to prove it tonight," Bagus finally said. Unable to install CCTV on his laptop, all he could do was catch the intruder red-handed when he arrived.

"Are we going to wait here all night?" Siva asked, her face pale.

"Yes. That’s the only way to solve this mystery," Bagus replied firmly.

The three of them immediately made a plan and planned to use the guest room to wait for Isabella’s arrival, who unfortunately had other plans for the day.

"Let’s bring food and drinks just in case. It’s going to be a long night," Jery said, pulling out his phone to order food.

Isabella, unaware that she had made several people anxious and worried, was lying on her bed, contemplating several surprise plans for her lover.

"How would Alesio react if I suddenly appeared in his room?" Isabella muttered, giggling as she rolled over on the bed, her face flushed.

"He’ll definitely be so surprised! I can’t wait to see his expression!" she said, smiling broadly at the thought of her lover’s face.

Isabella, who had never been to the Xander family mansion, let alone entered Alesio’s room, clearly couldn’t imagine it, so she searched for the coordinates of her lover’s residence and would try it later.

"Hmm... the Xander family mansion. I need to find out exactly where Alesio’s room is," Isabella muttered as she opened her laptop and searched for information.

The beautiful girl could already imagine the surprise on her lover’s face when he saw her sudden arrival.

"Alesio will definitely be so happy! Ah, I can’t wait!" Isabella exclaimed, kicking her feet excitedly.

She had planned everything so precisely, and she wanted to make it happen soon.

While Isabella was busy with her absurd and slightly perverted thoughts about her lover, her phone vibrated, her mother’s name clearly printed on it.

"Yes, Mom," Isabella answered, answering the phone cheerfully.

"Honey, could you please come back to the main mansion for a moment? There’s something important we want to discuss with you."

Hearing her mother’s serious tone, Isabella decided to return to the mansion. Later, she would just find an excuse to leave for a while, planning to use her teleportation card to return to her homeland.

"Okay, Mom, I’ll be right there. But what’s wrong? Why does your voice sound so serious?" Isabella asked worriedly.

"We’ll talk about it at the mansion, honey. This is important," Mikaela replied, her voice trembling.

In the main mansion,

Mikaela continued to twist her hands together, occasionally glancing anxiously at the entrance of the residence. "Should we tell everything now? Can’t we wait a little longer?" she asked, negotiating softly.

"Honey, you’ve asked the same thing ten times already. We have to do this now," Demon said, stroking his wife’s back.

"It can’t be delayed any longer. The longer we delay, the greater the impact," Demon said, reaching out one hand and holding his wife’s to reassure her with a knowing look.

"But I’m afraid Isabella will be angry with us. What if she feels betrayed?" Mikaela said, tears welling in her eyes.

"Honestly, it’s better now, Mom, than if my little sister hears from someone else. Although I’m calm, I know King isn’t as patient as he seems. This time, he helped us at the last minute with Romano, which is a sign for us to make their relationship official," Leon said, making his mother understand that this wasn’t a simple matter.

"Leon’s right. King has given us enough time. We can’t keep delaying this," Andra added, nodding in agreement.

Everyone nodded in agreement because they knew who King was. If they delayed too long and he went ahead on his own, Isabella would surely think her family had betrayed her. And that’s what Alegra’s family didn’t want to experience: Isabella leaving them because she was disappointed in them.

"King isn’t someone who will wait forever. We already know his character," Demon said in a serious tone.

"But how are we going to tell Isabella? She loves Alesio so much," Mikaela whispered, wiping away her tears.

Isabella, who had just entered the main mansion, saw her family’s tense faces and furrowed her brows slightly. "What happened? Why are they so tense? Did Romano fail the execution?" she speculated as she stepped inside with hesitant steps.

"Mom? Dad? Brothers? What’s going on? Why are everyone’s faces so serious?" Isabella asked worriedly, looking at each of her family’s faces.

"Sit down, honey. We have something to discuss with you," Mikaela said in a trembling voice, patting the sofa beside her.
