Phoenix Revenge System
Chapter 77: PRS 77
CHAPTER 77: PRS 77
Everyone was seated around a round table with a small microphone directly in front of them, allowing the leaders and vice-leaders to voice their opinions.
The six major mafias ruling the continent were greeting each other and discussing business while waiting for the conference to begin. Deep voices mingled, discussing various strategies and lucrative business opportunities.
"How’s the distribution network in the north going?" one leader asked his colleague.
"It’s going smoothly, no major issues. We’ve even managed to open two new routes," he replied with satisfaction.
The room, which had been bustling with the sound of members greeting each other and engaging in casual conversation, suddenly fell silent when a beautiful girl entered.
The girl walked casually, ignoring the curious and dismissive stares cast her way. Every step she took was filled with confidence, as if the room belonged to her.
Although there were female members, this underground organization had always been passed down through the male descendants of each extended family. Even if a daughter or daughter-in-law interfered in the business, they usually remained behind the scenes. So Isabella’s presence on the surface raised questions about how great she was that Yuan had given her the position of Andra’s deputy at such a young age.
"So this is Yuan’s youngest granddaughter, who is rumored to be Andra’s successor?" asked C, the leader of the Black Ledger mafia, observing the girl with an unusual aura with a curious expression.
"Yuan would be foolish to give her Dark Evil. No matter how great she is, she’s still a woman," A, the leader of the BC Syndicate mafia, emphasized the last word with disdain. His face revealed a sneer.
A believed Isabella was relying solely on her good looks. He, who had always looked down on women, naturally couldn’t accept someone like Isabella being superior to him, a man and the only descendant of his family.
"An organization as powerful as Dark Evil being handed over to a young girl? This is a joke," A added with a mocking laugh.
Isabella ignored all the negative comments and confidently stepped forward and sat next to Andra, who immediately greeted her warmly.
"Welcome, Bella. Did your trip go smoothly?" Andra greeted her with a warm smile.
"How was it?" Andra whispered after Isabella settled comfortably.
"Hexss has been dealt with. The government of Country R will be temporarily immobilized. We can use this time to turn the tide," Isabella said, handing her a tablet containing enemy data and plans that they could share in a forum so everyone could help and act in unison. Isabella was convinced that Hexss was also targeting the governments of cities S and J, and they needed to be warned to avoid a detrimental incident like Black Mamba.
"Are you sure this data is accurate?" Andra asked, examining the tablet screen closely.
"One hundred percent. I took it directly from the Hexss server," Isabella replied firmly.
Only countries K and S were untouchable to Hexss because their heads of government were not aligned with HENDI’s shadow interests. Furthermore, three powerful mafias controlled the territory, making it extremely difficult for Hexss to attack them now, unaware that the one standing in his way was one of the Dark Evil rulers.
Once the time had arrived, the conference opened. All members began to share their respective agendas in dealing with the increasingly shrinking market due to the intervention of the upper world powers, which had slightly disrupted the order of the underworld.
"Our region is under pressure from the local government. They’re starting to tighten regulations," complained one leader.
"It’s the same with us. The bureaucracy is getting more complicated, operational costs are increasing drastically," added another.
As the current conference chairmen, Andra and Morgan noted down all the important points, which they would discuss later, as the issues in country R concerning Black Mamba were more important to discuss on the first day of the conference.
Black Mamba, having just received news that their security system, which had been hacked and lost a significant amount of market share and money, had been restored, was shocked. This was especially true after hearing from Andrew that the government would temporarily suspend the issues involving them. They immediately agreed to all the plans and solutions proposed by the Dark Evil leader, who had presented them at the forum, and agreed to cooperate.
"We are very grateful for Dark Evil’s help. Without you, we might have been destroyed," said the Black Mamba leader sincerely.
"We are allies. Helping each other is our duty," replied Andra wisely.
Country S and Country J, who had also received the same warning, still couldn’t fully believe they would experience the same tragedy as Black Mamba, as they assumed their security systems were strong enough.
"Our security system is very strong; no one can penetrate it, not even a professional hacker," said A arrogantly, leaning back in his chair. "We’ve invested billions in the best defense system."
Isabella only smiled faintly at A’s arrogant statement. Deep in her heart, she already knew what was coming next.
Before A could even close his mouth, his deputy, sitting next to him, suddenly handed the phone to the man, and in an instant, A’s face darkened.
"What? How could that be?!" A exclaimed in a raised voice. His hand gripped the phone so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
The same thing happened to C, who also suffered a surprise attack from the enemy, prompting the two mafia leaders to immediately instruct their IT-savvy subordinates to resolve the issue before they suffered any losses.
"Deploy our entire IT team now!" C commanded his deputy firmly.
Isabella, seeing A’s arrogant face turn pale, felt immensely satisfied, as she felt the man deserved it.
[Host, don’t you want to help him? That man is quite wealthy, you know. If you can use him, he could become a walking ATM machine for you.]
Hearing System’s words, Isabella could only sneer sarcastically inwardly. "I’m already so rich I don’t need money from such an arrogant man. Besides, he needs to learn not to look down on others."
Andra provided guidance for resolving the problem, following Isabella’s instructions. He explained the steps in detail, ensuring each point was understood.
"First, isolate the infected system. Second, identify the attack pattern. Third, use the emergency recovery protocol," Andra explained, pointing to the presentation screen.
C, seeing that the method had worked on Black Mamba, tried to follow suit. However, A, with his sky-high ego, clearly refused, especially after he learned that the one who saved Black Mamba was Isabella, a girl he had initially underestimated, making him believe his method was more powerful and effective.
"I don’t need help from a girl! My IT team is much more professional!" A grumbled stubbornly.
"But A, we need to act quickly—" C tried to remind him.
"Shut up! I know what I’m doing!" A interrupted harshly.
Seeing this, Andra didn’t insist, and the conference proceeded with the next agenda.
Isabella offered her opinions several times in the forum, impressing some who began to understand why Yuan had given her a place as Andra’s deputy within Dark Evil.
"I think we could open an alternative route through the eastern region. The costs are higher, but the risks are lower," Isabella suggested calmly.
"Brilliant idea. Why didn’t we think of this before?" one of the leaders responded enthusiastically.
"For government regulations, we could use a more subtle lobbying approach. I’ve prepared several strategies we might be able to implement," Isabella continued, distributing documents to all participants.
A, who greatly underestimated the presence of women in the organization, continued to mock and belittle Isabella.
"It’s easy to talk. We’ll see if she can do what she says," A added sarcastically.
Morgan glared at A, displeased with his fiancée’s disrespect. His jaw clenched, his hands clenched on the table.
"Come on, King, ignore that little girl," Andra whispered.
Seeing Isabella’s composure in the face of the man’s constant taunts aimed at provoking her only increased everyone’s admiration for the beautiful girl, and this naturally made A even more displeased.
"She truly has a strong mentality. Not everyone can remain calm in a situation like this," C whispered to his deputy.
"She’s different from the others. No wonder Yuan trusts her so much," the deputy replied.
The conference continued until midnight. Once the first day’s agenda was completed and agreed upon, the meeting was adjourned, set to resume the next day with a second, even more heated agenda.
"Okay, that’s enough for today. We’ll continue tomorrow morning at nine," Andra officially closed the session.
A left the conference room first, his cell phone pressed to his ear, his face tense and flushed, holding back his anger.
"I don’t care how! Solve this problem now!" he snapped at the person on the other end of the line.
Ugh!
A deliberately nudged Isabella’s shoulder hard as soon as they passed each other. Unfortunately, her balance was good enough that it wasn’t her who fell, but the arrogant man who immediately staggered and nearly fell to the ground, making her the butt of everyone’s laughter.
"Hahaha! Look at that! He was the one who attacked, but he ended up falling!"
"Karma does exist!"
Feeling humiliated, A cursed harshly and quickly left to save face, because after all, everyone knew he was in the wrong.
"You idiot! You’ll all regret it!" he cursed as he walked away, his face bright red.
"Are you okay, Bella?" Morgan asked worriedly, checking Isabella’s shoulder.
"It’s okay," Isabella replied casually with a reassuring smile.
"Want to go home with me?" Morgan mustered up the courage after getting Andra’s permission to escort Isabella to the Alegra family’s main mansion.
"Okay," Isabella, who had promised to befriend the man she had been engaged to since childhood, warmly welcomed Morgan’s good intentions.
Just as Isabella was about to get into the car, C’s voice stopped her.
"Miss Isabella! Wait a moment!" C called, rushing over.
"Sorry to interrupt. Could we discuss this hacking issue for a moment?" C asked, slightly pleading. His face looked worried and serious.
Isabella, sensing that the forty-year-old man in front of her was quite kind and had no malicious intentions, nodded in agreement.
"Of course, I’ll help. Come with me," he said kindly.
Morgan, who was looking at her, nodded in understanding. "Finish your business first, I’ll accompany you," he said, leading Isabella and C into a private room within the castle.
Once inside, C immediately explained the situation his organization was experiencing. His voice was filled with anxiety and worry.
"Our system has been attacked. Critical data is at risk. Our IT team has tried everything, but the attack is too sophisticated," C explained in detail.
Isabella, noticing that Hexss’s pattern this time was slightly different, tried to help, "Do you really trust me?" He asked, making sure before he acted, because for him, someone’s trust in him was priceless. If they didn’t trust him, there was no point in providing assistance.
"I have complete trust in you," C replied without hesitation, looking at Isabella expectantly.
Seeing C’s confidence, Isabella immediately took out her laptop and began working. Her slender fingers danced across the keyboard quickly and skillfully.
"Let me see your system first," Isabella said, focusing on the screen.
"Good, your initial steps were correct. This helped slow down his attack," Isabella praised.
This naturally frustrated both parties. Isabella, having discovered his trail, immediately used a reflection system, so that every movement Hexss made would cause her to involuntarily retreat.
"A reflection system? What’s that?" C asked curiously.
"I’ll make every attack rebound on him," Isabella explained, continuing to type.
"Done. Your system is secure," Isabella said after a few minutes of work.
Hexss, who felt like she was close to success, was immediately frustrated when she failed, causing the computer in her office to explode and shatter.
"ARGHHH!!! FUCK! WHO ACTUALLY IS IN MY WAY!" she screamed in frustration, kicking the wreckage of the destroyed computer.
"No one can defeat me! I’m the best!" Hexss shouted desperately.
Now Hexss’s only hope was A. Once she defeated him, the country of S would be firmly in her grasp.
"A... he’s my only chance now," Hexss muttered, trying to calm herself, though her hands were still shaking with anger.
