CHAPTER 83: PRS 83

The next morning, Isabella woke with puffy eyes and a sore heart. The wounds of the past, which had healed, were torn open and bleeding again.

"Why... must it happen again?" she muttered hoarsely, staring blankly at the ceiling.

[DING!!!]

[There are still many people who love Host, so don’t ever feel alone. A traitor doesn’t deserve Host’s tears]

Phoenix’s words reminded Isabella that life must go on. No one can stop her from moving forward and doing good for everyone.

"You’re right, System. I don’t want to be depressed just because of this," Isabella said firmly, that this was nothing and couldn’t stop her from moving forward and spreading her wings. "I’m Isabella Clark. I won’t be defeated by this pain."

"System, I want to check in today. And, please display my panel status," Isabella ordered, sitting on the edge of the bed, trying to gather her mental strength.

Seeing that the Phoenix Queen System was at 20 percent, Isabella was quite satisfied and immediately headed to the bathroom to clean herself.

"At least there’s one thing going well in my life," she muttered as she stared at her reflection in the mirror, still looking pale and tired.

Siva, who had already woken up, quickly prepared breakfast. Seeing Isabella come out looking fresh, though her eyes were filled with sadness, made him feel relieved.

"Bella, have you taken your medicine? You look better this morning," Siva asked as she poured orange juice into a glass.

"Not yet, Sis. I’ll drink it after breakfast," Isabella replied with a weak smile.

"How did you sleep last night? Did you get a good rest?" Siva asked again, her voice filled with concern.

"Not bad, Sis. Thank you for staying with me last night. I really appreciate it," Isabella said sincerely.

After breakfast, Isabella engaged Siva in a serious conversation, discussing several matters, particularly some of her own businesses, which she planned to hand over to the young woman.

"Sis Siva, there’s something I want to discuss. It’s important," Isabella said, leading Siva into the living room and sitting opposite her.

"What is it, Bella? You look very serious," Siva responded, sitting down attentively.

"I have an appointment with Mr. Danu for 10 a.m. I hope you’ll accept this arrangement, because for the next few days, I have to resolve the issues affecting my family in country S," Isabella explained in a firm but hopeful tone.

"Bella, are you sure? This is a big responsibility. I don’t know if I can do it," Siva said with doubt on her face.

"I trust you, Sis. You’ve worked with me for a long time. You know all the ins and outs of our business. There’s no one I trust more than you," Isabella assured, looking at Siva with confidence.

Although she had reservations, seeing that being in the country would only make Isabella even sadder, as the possibility of meeting Alesio increased, she nodded obediently at the girl’s arrangement.

"Okay, Bella. I’ll do my best. I promise I won’t disappoint you," Siva said, gripping Isabella’s hand tightly.

"Then, what about Alesio? What are you going to do?" Siva asked curiously, looking at Isabella with a probing gaze.

Isabella paused for a moment, her breath catching at the mention of the name. "For now, let it be. I’ll end this relationship, but only after all my family matters are settled because I don’t want to distract myself," Isabella said honestly, lowering her head.

"Are you sure you can control your feelings, Bella? I know this is very painful for you," Siva asked gently, stroking the back of Isabella’s hand.

"I have to, Sis. My family needs me right now. My personal problems can wait," Isabella replied, trying to sound strong even though her heart was breaking apart.

Right now, Haksa’s problems were more important than dealing with her drama-filled and tear-filled love life.

Meanwhile, in the capital, Alesio returned from a steamy night with Mika. Although his former college friend hadn’t demanded any responsibility from him, he felt guilty towards Isabella.

"No! I didn’t betray Isabella. This was all purely an accident," Alesio thought defensively, pounding his fist on his desk in frustration.

"It was an accident. I didn’t mean to. I don’t remember anything," he muttered over and over, trying to convince himself.

Alesio continued to convince himself that Isabella was the only one in his heart and was certain that this beautiful girl would be his future wife.

"Isabella is everything to me. She’s the only woman I’ve ever loved. I can’t lose her because of this stupid mistake," he said to himself regretfully.

Meanwhile, Mika, whose plan to ensnare Alesio had succeeded, was enjoying her time with Lionel.

"Will you be mine for the next month?" Lionel asked, embracing Mika possessively from behind.

"Of course. I never break a promise. Besides, you’ve already succeeded in smoothing out my plans," Mika replied coquettishly, turning around and wrapping her arms around Lionel’s neck.

"Are you happy with the results?" Lionel asked, kissing Mika’s neck.

"Very happy. Alesio is already in my trap. I’m just waiting for the right moment to pull the net," Mika replied with a sly smile.

To get Alesio, Mika wasn’t in a rush that would scare away his prey. He was using a push-pull technique.

For now, he would let Alesio think he wasn’t taking their steamy night seriously. But the next time they met, he would make sure Alesio never escaped his clutches.

"You’re cunning, honey. But I like that," Lionel praised with a laugh.

"I learned from the best," Mika replied, kissing Lionel passionately on the lips.

Alesio, unaware of Mika’s devious plan, was relieved to hear that the young woman, Lionel, and Lio, would be returning to country H, where they had been working and living.

"Thank goodness they’re gone. I don’t have to face Mika anymore. Everything can go back to normal," Alesio murmured in relief with a long sigh.

He felt that with Mika gone, the evil he had done would never be traced to anyone. He didn’t know that his actions last night were discovered by Isabella herself, which erased his reputation in the beautiful girl’s heart forever.

After settling all matters in city XX and appointing Siva as managing director of IBA Group, under which all of Isabella’s businesses operate, the beautiful woman returned to country S to deal with the dirty mole targeting her family.

"Mr. Danu, I entrust everything to Siva. Please guide me," Isabella said to her family’s lawyer.

"Of course, Miss Isabella. I’ve arranged everything according to your wishes," replied Mr. Danu, handing over the important documents.

Isabella, upon arriving at Dark Evil headquarters, was greeted with the happy news of the core team’s success in eliminating all of Hippo’s supply warehouses.

"Miss Isabella! Mission accomplished! All of Haksa’s warehouses have been destroyed!" Andre beamed as she entered the meeting room.

"Excellent. How many casualties did we suffer?" Isabella asked solemnly.

"None, Miss. Everything went smoothly according to your plan," Andre replied proudly.

In addition to breaking one of Haksa’s legs, they also recovered many of the latest weapons and several vials of poison, which Isabella had already identified as Dark Evil’s supplies for the mission.

"These weapons will be very useful. Store them safely in the dedicated warehouse. As for these poisons, I will conduct further analysis in the lab," Isabella instructed, examining the recovered items.

Haksa’s movements were more transparent than Hexss’s, making it difficult for Isabella to track him. She then teamed up with Morgan to hunt him down, as he was also a target of Black Rose, having sabotaged their shipments overseas several times.

"Morgan, I need your help hunting down Haksa. He’s more cunning than I thought," Isabella said over the phone to Morgan.

"Of course, Isabella. I’ll mobilize all my resources. When shall we begin?" Morgan asked enthusiastically.

"Tomorrow morning. I’ll send you the coordinates for our meeting location," Isabella replied.

Morgan, seeing Isabella invite him to join her mission to eliminate Haksa, was naturally delighted, as it gave him plenty of time to communicate and meet with his fiancée without having to make excuses to simply strike up a conversation.

"This is the perfect opportunity. I can get closer to her," Morgan murmured happily with a broad smile.

What Morgan was feeling was very different from what Alesio was feeling right now. Besides the guilt he was trying to suppress, he was also confused because he hadn’t been able to contact his girlfriend since morning.

"Why isn’t Isabella answering my calls? I’ve tried dozens of times," Alesio muttered in frustration, staring anxiously at his phone.

Isabella had deliberately changed her number, and only Siva could contact her temporarily to sort things out.

Siva, who had promised Isabella not to give her new number to anyone, was forced to lie to her lover because he also wanted to teach Alesio a lesson for so heartlessly betraying Isabella’s trust and love by cheating on her.

"Sorry, Alekso. I don’t know Isabella’s new number. She didn’t tell me," Siva lied when Alekso called her to ask how Isabella was.

"But Siva, this is important. Alesio is very worried. He hasn’t been able to contact Isabella since yesterday," Alekso pleaded pleadingly.

"I’m sorry, I really don’t know. Just try contacting her family," Siva replied flatly before hanging up.

Alekso, seeing his boss and best friend’s dark face again, could only resign himself to lamenting his fate of having to work overtime again because Alesio wanted to channel all his frustration into work.

"Oh God, when will my suffering end?" Alekso complained, staring at the growing pile of documents on his desk.

Alesio continued to try to contact Isabella through various means, including leaving private messages on his girlfriend’s social media accounts.

"Bella, please answer my messages. I’m really worried. Are you okay?" Alesio typed into Isabella’s Instagram inbox.

"Honey, please forgive me if I did anything wrong. Please contact me," he continued on WhatsApp, which was no longer active.

But all his efforts were fruitless, leaving the man feeling something was amiss, but he couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause, further frustrating Alesio.

"Something’s not right. Isabella never disappears like this. She always tells me where she’s going," Alesio muttered, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"I think I have to fly to country S if I don’t want to go crazy," he muttered, beginning to despair as he stared at the plane ticket on his laptop screen.

Feeling unable to focus any longer, Alesio immediately left, planning to return to the mansion to discuss his decision with his grandfather.

Given the many matters that needed to be handled at the company, Alesio couldn’t leave everything in Alekso’s hands, so he decided to ask his grandfather to help manage the company while he went to country S to meet his lover.

"Grandpa, I have to go to country S. This is very important. Can you help me keep an eye on the company while I’m gone?" Alesio asked his grandfather over the phone.

"Of course, my grandson. But what’s wrong? You sound very panicked," the grandfather asked in a worried tone.

"I have to see Isabella, Grandpa. I can’t reach her and I’m very worried," Alesio replied in a voice filled with anxiety.

"Okay. Go. Grandpa will take care of everything here. But be careful, Alesio. And make sure you handle things well," his grandfather advised wisely.

"Thank you, Grandpa. I’ll leave tomorrow morning," Alesio replied, relieved, even though his heart was still filled with anxiety and fear of losing Isabella forever.
