Playtime's Over, CEO: She's Really Done With You
Chapter 74: Vera Hansen Said, "Do You Think I’m Dirty?
CHAPTER 74: CHAPTER 74: VERA HANSEN SAID, "DO YOU THINK I’M DIRTY?
The scene Julian Lawson saw after knocking on Vera Hansen’s door was this.
Vera stood inside the door, wearing a camisole nightgown.
He frowned slightly.
Vera seemed to realize this was inappropriate, but she stubbornly remained silent, only lowering her head.
In the end, Julian took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.
"Go inside, it’s cold outside," Julian said.
Vera nodded and followed Julian inside.
Vera looked Julian up and down.
His clothes had changed.
It was clear he had changed clothes before coming over.
He and Serena Sterling were in the same house—what needed a change of clothes?
The more Vera thought about it, the angrier she became.
Finally, she was able to suppress Serena entirely, but now there’s a child, and those two old ones over there are interfering!
All her previous efforts were wasted; what if Serena got pregnant with Julian’s child again?
Yet the more she thought, the more she acted nonchalantly.
She sat silently beside Julian, wiping tears and saying nothing.
Julian, seeing Vera like this, also felt a bit troubled.
After some thought, he said, "Stop crying."
But this simple phrase made Vera cry more fiercely.
She raised her head, tears falling in large drops.
She reached out to grab Julian’s collar.
"What are you doing?" Julian frowned slightly and moved her hand aside.
"Did you do it with her?" Vera cried, "Brother Julian, didn’t you say you were going to divorce her?"
"Brother Julian, you promised me, why did you do it with her?"
"Brother Julian, I’m in so much pain; I feel like I’m dying inside."
Julian looked at Vera’s demeanor, feeling helpless inside.
After watching her tear-filled eyes, he finally said, "No."
He paused slightly before continuing, "Nothing happened between Serena and me. Grandfather and grandmother just want us to have breakfast tomorrow morning."
"Really?" Vera’s heart leapt with joy.
Yet Julian turned his head away: "Yes."
Seeing Julian’s words didn’t seem like a lie, Vera laughed internally.
Serena is truly useless; despite everyone’s help, she still didn’t succeed!
Moreover...
Vera glanced at Julian. He had been completely manipulated by her.
Even if Serena stood naked before him, he wouldn’t have any interest!
Thinking this, Vera kept her face tearful.
She just needed to completely win over Julian, and everything afterward would be easy!
Thinking this, she inched closer to Julian.
"Brother Julian," she drew near him, enticingly whispering by his side.
She wore this nightgown tonight specifically and sprayed a seductive perfume, all to fully capture him!
With these thoughts, Vera softly leaned against Julian’s shoulder.
"I’m sorry," she said quietly, "I shouldn’t be questioning you like this, but I really... am worried."
Julian glanced at Vera, subtly trying to avoid her.
Vera noticed, then said with red eyes, "Brother Julian, why are you avoiding me?"
Julian lowered his eyes slightly, not answering directly: "How is your health now?"
Vera hesitated for a moment, then clearly misunderstood.
She blushed and said coyly, "Brother Julian, just come and stay with me."
"Brother Julian, can you spend the night here with me tonight? I’m fine with it."
Both were adults; the meaning behind Vera’s words was clear to them.
Yet Julian only felt a headache.
He knew what Vera wanted, what she was doing now.
But he had no desire.
Even though Vera wore cool nightwear and had an intoxicating scent, his heart remained calm.
No impulse.
Vera began to rub against him, her hand reaching out to Julian, trying to place it on her chest.
But suddenly, he stood up.
"Brother Julian?" Vera’s puzzled voice came.
"Your health isn’t good; you should rest well," Julian said, with his back to Vera.
"Brother Julian, don’t you like me?" Vera’s voice carried a hint of choking.
Julian didn’t answer.
"She can do what I can’t?" Vera’s voice already had a nasal tone.
"Brother Julian, I want it; can you give it to me?"
Finally, Vera’s words were extremely blunt.
Yet, Julian still had no desire.
"I’m heading back, grandmother is waiting for me for breakfast tomorrow," Julian said, finding an excuse, grabbing his keys, and opening the door to leave.
"Brother Julian!" A last, heartrending cry echoed.
Julian had to turn back, but what he saw was Vera standing behind him, naked.
She cried, "Brother Julian, can’t you give me this?"
Julian closed the door, preventing outside eyes from peeking in.
Then he walked to Vera’s side.
He picked up the clothes on the ground and draped them over Vera.
"Vera, I’m very tired; I have no such thoughts."
Truly, he felt nothing.
Even though Vera was standing naked before him, he still had no interest.
He said, "Take good care of your health."
But Vera cried even more fiercely.
"But..." Her tears poured down, "Brother Julian, I don’t have much time left; you said you’d fulfill my wish, but you won’t get involved with me."
"Is it because of her? Serena," Vera said, "Do you still have feelings for her?"
"Please take me, Brother Julian," she cried, "Even if you see me as her, that’s okay."
Serena’s crying eyes appeared before Julian suddenly.
His mind felt confused.
"Rest well," Julian said, "I’m leaving now; I’ll have a doctor come check on you later."
"I don’t want that!" Vera shouted, her voice breaking.
When Julian turned back, she said, "Brother Julian, you... dislike me, is that it?"
"That incident..."
Her crying was a complete mess.
"We’ve been together so long, and you’ve never touched me—is it really because of that incident?"
Julian lowered his head, clenched his fists, but refrained from speaking.
Vera laughed, saying, "Yes, it’s me; I’m vile, I’m dirty."
"But Brother Julian, I didn’t want that either..."
At this point, she couldn’t continue.
Uttering these few sentences nearly exhausted all Vera’s strength, her knees buckling as she knelt and began to cry.
Julian looked at Vera on the ground, his right hand trembling slightly.
Finally, he squatted down and handed her a tissue.
"Vera, it’s not your fault," he said, his voice gentle, as if coaxing a child, "It’s my fault."
He had just messaged a doctor to come; Julian dressed Vera properly and let the doctor in.
When Vera saw it was a doctor, panic flashed in her eyes.
She couldn’t let a doctor examine her!
