Pokemon: A New Path
Cyclizar [768]
Cyclizar had a dream.
In the dream, it returned to the ranch where it had lived for nearly nine years and over 3,200 days.
There, it saw Naoki standing at the door, a gentle smile on his face. He smiled and waved at it.
Cyclizar excitedly ran toward him, wanting to reach Naoki.
But no matter how hard it tried, it could not get closer to the ranch, instead, it got farther and farther away.
Cyclizar panicked and ran faster.
As a result, it accidentally fell to the ground, and in the blink of an eye, Naoki and the ranch flew away.
Looking at the thick and endless darkness around it, Cyclizar felt an unprecedented loneliness.
At this moment, Koraidon appeared.
It stood in front of Cyclizar, its face without anger or disgust, just looking at it calmly.
"Gaao?" Cyclizar cried out.
The next second, even Koraidon disappeared.
A clear spring suddenly appeared in the darkness. Its surface was crystal clear, clearly reflecting the scene above.
Cyclizar looked down and saw Koraidon.
It tilted its head in confusion, and the Koraidon in the water also tilted its head.
It had become Koraidon.
"Ouch!" A feral roar echoed from the distant darkness.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) jolted awake, opened its eyes, and looked around nervously.
The Pokémon in this place were extremely dangerous and aggressive toward others. This was Koraidon's (Cyclizar's) third day here.
During this time, it had encountered many dangerous Pokémon attacks. Although it had escaped each time, each encounter was risky.
Yesterday afternoon, it even faced its greatest crisis yet.
An unfamiliar Pokémon caught it off guard and attacked, leaving it severely injured and nearly dead.
Fortunately, a blue energy shield saved it at the critical moment.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) remembered that it was a special dish Naoki had prepared for it.
Its effect was to protection of the sea, allowing it to withstand fatal blows.
Thanks to this effect, Koraidon (Cyclizar) used its speed advantage to escape from the Pokémon.
For three days, Koraidon (Cyclizar) searched for a way back to the ranch.
But after searching for a long time, it found no trace of humans, not even a single town.
Tall, dense vegetation grew everywhere, and it seemed nothing like the world it had previously inhabited.
"Ah, gah..."
Even more puzzling was that it had somehow transformed from Cyclizar into Koraidon.
Cyclizar itself didn't know the reason, but when it landed in this place, it was already Koraidon.
The owner of the cry seemed to be just passing by, unaware of its hiding place.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) breathed a sigh of relief, successfully passing another night of agonizing waiting.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) didn't stay long.
At dawn, it resumed its search for home.
It walked and walked, encountering many wild Pokémon along the way.
Some of them were so powerful that it even learned to dig holes to avoid them.
The sun rose and set, and Koraidon (Cyclizar) walked alone on this unfamiliar land, searching for its way home.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) lost its sense of time.
Gradually, it adapted to life in this world.
In order to see Naoki again, it would fight back fiercely when those wild Pokémon attacked it, defeating them.
Constantly searching, constantly battling other Pokémon, constantly getting hurt, constantly gaining experience...
In this long and monotonous search, it went from being full of hope at the beginning, to disappointment, and then to despair.
It persisted, walking on this land without knowing how much time had passed.
Perhaps months, perhaps years, or perhaps even longer.
Cyclizar gradually grew numb, with only one thought remaining in its mind.
Naoki, it wanted to find him and return to him.
Perhaps because it missed him too much, Koraidon (Cyclizar) occasionally felt someone touching its head in the middle of the night.
'Was it Naoki?'
But each time it awoke, it found no one around.
Years of struggling between life and death had greatly honed Koraidon's (Cyclizar's) fighting skills and strengthened its power.
It gradually gained the strength to fight against dangerous Pokémon.
It could have dominated an entire forest, becoming overlord.
But Koraidon (Cyclizar) remained steadfast, even though it didn't know where to go.
If it just kept walking, perhaps it could finally return to Naoki? Koraidon (Cyclizar) kept thinking this.
Butterfree once said that when the sun sets and the moon rises, after seven rounds, the pumpkin will be ripe.
Then, Naoki will return.
Late into the night, Koraidon (Cyclizar) would sit alone on a towering cliff, gazing at the bright moon hanging in the night sky.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) counted the moons countless times, but still couldn't see Naoki.
Naoki, it wanted to see Naoki...
Suddenly, a desolate and lonely roar echoed through the solitude of the night.
In a dense forest, a Flutter Mane was startled awake.
After a silent night, Koraidon (Cyclizar) resumed its search for Naoki the next morning.
One day, it encountered a wild Koraidon.
Mistaking it for a territorial enemy, it attacked without hesitation.
It was formidable.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) fought a desperate battle, ultimately defeating it despite suffering heavy injuries.
Having done so, Koraidon (Cyclizar) turned without hesitation and continued its search.
Before leaving, Koraidon (Cyclizar) suddenly noticed a Pokémon hiding in the bushes not far away:
A Flutter Mane.
Over the years, Koraidon (Cyclizar) had defeated many Flutter Manes, unfazed.
Seeing that the opponent didn't seem to intend to attack, Koraidon (Cyclizar) glanced at it and then turned away.
Since then, Koraidon (Cyclizar) continued to roam the land, struggling to survive and battling the wild Pokémon that inhabited it.
Time and again, it found itself in danger, but always triumphed through sheer willpower.
Just when Koraidon (Cyclizar) thought it could continue like this, it encountered an extremely powerful wild Koraidon.
The Koraidon was the dominant force in the area, and even with all its might, Koraidon (Cyclizar) was no match and was knocked to the ground.
As the fist was about to strike, Koraidon (Cyclizar) closed its eyes in despair.
But the next moment, the pain it had imagined didn't come.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) suddenly opened its eyes, only to see the fist blocked by something, unable to move forward even a single step.
Koraidon (Cyclizar) was startled.
In a trance, it seemed to see Naoki.
Even though the man had white hair and looked older than Mayor Thomas, it recognized him at first sight.
That was Naoki, that was its Naoki.
Seeing Naoki disappear, a terrifying power suddenly erupted in the heart of Koraidon (Cyclizar), and it knocked Koraidon to the ground with one blow, turning defeat into victory again.
But when Koraidon (Cyclizar) looked around, trying to find Naoki's figure, it found nothing.
"Ah, gah…"
Grievance, longing, sadness, grief, loneliness…
All kinds of emotions lingered in Koraidon's (Cyclizar's) heart.
Tears flowed uncontrollably.
