Alakazam was sure that a tier three king-rank Pokemon would not be able to create such an explosion. Even a tier one pseudo-champion rank might not be able to do it at its best.

Later, Alakazam hypothesized the reason for such a massive explosion. Tauros had used the move ’Explosion’ to explode itself. God knows how it learned that move. ’Explosion’ was one of the most powerful moves, but it was like a sacrifice move. Except for Pokemon like Koffing line, Pineco line, and Voltorb line, other Pokemon might not be able to survive this move.

Yet, even the move ’Explosion’ with a base power of 250 could not create such a massive explosion. So, Alakazam assumed that it was using some sort of berserk move where its power would increase when it was hurt more. That might be the only explanation.

Alakazam cleared the dust and smoke from the explosion to see if Nidoking was doing okay. If it had dodged the explosion, it might have been seriously hurt or it might even have died.

As it actively cleared the dust and smoke, it saw a shape of Pokemon standing on the ground. The Pokemon was running for some unknown reason.

It was Nidoking. It was injured with multiple wounds on its body, but it was not seriously injured.

"How the hell are you alive right now?", asked Alakazam.

"Haha, you think that this is my first rodeo? I already knew that something was amiss. So, when you used your signature move, I used ’Substitute’ and then hid myself underground.

But that explosion was nasty. Even though I was deep underground, it still had an impact on me. That Tauros was crazy, I tell you."

"Yeah, it was certainly crazy. Why don’t you get yourself healed? I will look after the battle.", said Alakazam.

Nidoking agreed and went to get treated.

The battle Tauros took a sharp turn when Magnus, the Slowemperor joined the battle. It was a genuine pseudo-champion rank Pokemon. Axel started to realize that 500 was a very low number, even with the help of flying-type Pokemon.

So, he told Slowemperor to join the field. Slowemperor used its ability ’Monarch’ to intimidate these Tauros, and it started to attack them openly. It used the move ’Psychic rain’ which caused devastating damage to them.

It also utilized its inherent ability to control the Tier 2 King Rank Slowking to do its bidding. This was the power of a monarch.

Meanwhile, Nidoking was trying to heal from various poison moves as it was going to the Pokémon Center for healing.

This time, Axel did not hold back and called out Venusaur, Charizard, Nidoking, Gogoat, Alakazam, and Nidoking for the day raid. He didn’t want his members to suffer any defeat. This was life and death.

After the tier 3 king rank Tauros was defeated, the pressure on Axel decreased a lot.

Lapras, Alakazam, and Heracross were attacking Axel’s Charizard at the same time. Axel also wanted Charizard to use the move ’Transform’ to dispatch these 3 tier 2 king rank Pokemon quickly, but he didn’t know the situation of the night raid.

The leader, Aegislash, had yet to make a move, so Axel had to play defensively. Charizard was losing this battle. Even though it was a pseudo-champion rank Pokemon, Alakazam and Heracross were dominating it from the sky. This tier 2 king rank Alakazam was very good at using short-distance teleportation.

So, it was able to dodge most of the attack. Heracross was very defensive, and with the help of Alakazam, it could also teleport. It had set up quite a few defensive measures to control Charizard’s anger.

They were attacking from 2 different sides. Even if Charizard managed to attack both of them at the same time, there was Lapras, which was using a powerful ’Ice Beam’ to freeze it.

The battle was going nowhere. Charizard had only suffered minor injuries, but since it was not so adept at dealing with multiple Pokemon at the same time, it was suffering a lot.

But why would 3 of them attack Charizard at the same time?

After that, it also killed Magneton, a tier 1 king rank Pokemon with a couple of hits.

Yes, Charizard was so dominating that the other king rank Pokémon felt it necessary to leave other multiple king rank Pokemon and concentrate on Charizard alone.

So, it was trying its best not to use any stamina-consuming moves, but it looked like it had to be serious now.

"Brother, we are not doing a shit to this monster. I think we should get serious. The tide battle is already over. Our leader is already dead, and I don’t want to serve that Aegislash.

So, let’s kill this Chairzard and run towards the forest.", said Alakazam.

"You are right, but I am weak to fire-type moves, and it is a pseudo-champion rank Pokemon. So, I am positive that we cannot win against it.", said Heracross.

This statement panicked Alakazam.

"If we are fighting to the death, then there is a big chance that one of us might die here.", said Heracross.

"Then what do we do?"

"There is only one thing that we can do. We need to move slowly towards the edge of the forest. Then you will use your max teleportation and take us deep into the forest.", said Heracross.

"Ok, let’s do that."

"Ok, communicate that to Lapras, too. I will now use my pre-domain move.", said Heracross.

With that, the battle speed and mechanics underwent significant changes. Heracross used its pre-domain move.

It gave out a big roar. Charizard could visibly see that bug-type energy was being absorbed by it at a rapid pace. Its height was increasing rapidly, and in just a few seconds, it had already doubled its normal height. It was even taller than Charizard.

Its horn, arms, and legs were glowing in a light green light, and it gave off a powerful aura that was now trying to suppress Charizard.

"Oh, that is interesting.", smiled Charizard.

Charizard also used its ’Dragon Scales’ to increase its defense, and then it gave out a powerful ’Flamethrower’ towards Heracross.

Heracross started to fly back toward the forest, but the speed of ’Flamethrower’ was not something that it could dodge.

So, it used its signature move, ’Megahorn’. Its horn began to shine more brightly as it clashed with the flame beam. Heracross was able to block the attack. It was using its pre-domain move and ’Megahorn’, one of its most decisive moves, to block that attack.

This had consumed a lot of its stamina, but it was still worth it. Heracross’s hand started to glow with a red light as it began to punch into the air. Compressed air punches were sent out towards Charizard, who dodged the attack. This was the combination of ’Vacuum wave’ and ’Focus punch’.

Charizard easily dodged the attack, but what it didn’t know was that the move would follow up with an explosion.

BOOM

"Oh, you got me. You are not an idiot. I like it. Do you want me to get serious now?", asked Charizard with a smirk.

It realized that Alakazam was not near it, and it was down with Lapras. Charizard could tell that they were already planning something. Maybe some powerful combined move. So, it was already in high alert.

Charizard used the move ’Dragon Dance’ and then it used ’Sunny Day’ to overpower its fire-type moves. The move increased the temperature by at least 15 degrees. Charizard breathed blue flames, and it fired up a powerful ’Flamethrower’.

Heracross dodged the attack this time and used the move ’Aerial Ace’. It went close to Charizard to use the move ’Brick Break’. It had already used the move ’Swords Dance’ to increase its attack.

BANG!!!

Charizard countered it with ’Hellfire Punch’. Even with its pre-domain move, Charizard won the clash. This was the power of a higher-ranked Pokemon.

Both of them began fighting with their hands and feet. Heracross was losing the battle. It started with minor injuries and was followed up with swollen arms, a bloodied body, and broken legs.

It had used multiple moves like ’Arm Thrust’, ’Low kick’, ’Lunge’, and ’Close combat’. Even though it was losing, Charizard appreciated its fighting style. Its fighting style was more polished than Charizard. That was the only reason it was still fighting against a higher-ranked Pokémon, which was weak against, and still drawing breath.

After fighting for 20 minutes, Heracross’s pre-domain move deactivated. It was taking long breaths now. It had suffered many injuries, but it was still standing.

"Very few times I get to fight like this. It would be a disservice not to give my all. So, I will get serious now.", said Charizard.

"Blaze OPEN!!"

ROOOARRR

Suddenly, Charizard and its surroundings were ablaze with blue fire. Everything around it was engulfed in raging flames. Heracross had to fly back to avoid getting involved.

"Let’s go a step further!!", shouted Charizard, and then it used its ’Flame domain’.

The temperature of the surroundings had changed yet again. Now, the heat was so intense that even standing near it, one might melt.

Heracross was using every ounce of energy it had to stay alive and avoid getting burned.

Charizard fired up a powerful ’Flamethrower’. This time, the power of ’Flamethrower’ had been upgraded to many levels. The speed had increased, too. Heracross was still feeling the pressure from Charizard’s pre-domain move.

Heracross first used a newly created move and surrounded itself with a thick bug-type energy. The energy solidified, covering its entire body. Then it used the move ’Skitter Smack’.

While even the space might bend from the sheer heat created by Chairzard, Heracross vanished, and it suddenly appeared on Charizard’s back. It used every ounce of its energy and used the move ’Reversal’.

Heracross health was already low from having a fist match with Charizard earlier. ’Skitter Smack’ was one of its signature moves. This was one of the moves that had saved Heracross countless times.

The move was upgraded by Heracross multiple times, and now it would increase the user’s speed to an impossible level until it reaches the back of the target.

This move could only be used once, as the sheer power requirement of the move was very high for the current Heracross.

BANG!!!

’Reversal’ was a move that could turn the battle if it was used right.

The move did impact Charizard as it crashed to the ground, but it came back up as if nothing had happened. Charizard had already been using the combination of ’Flame armor’, and ’Dragon scales’ to boost its defense to the highest level. Additionally, due to the ’Flame domain’, its defense has also been increased.

It had minor injuries from the attack, but that was it. Besides, it was resistant to fighting-type moves.

"What kind of monster are you?", asked Heracross.

This was its most decisive move, and it just tanked it? Just like that?

"Haha, I am quite a freak of nature. What can I say? Now, any last words?"

Suddenly, Alakazam and Lapras appeared in the sky with Heracross. Alakazam touched Heracross, and it was ready to teleport all of them deep inside the forest.

All of this happened in less than a second. Charizard could tell that they were planning something big. So, it fired up a powerful ’Flamethrower’ but just as it was about to reach three of them, they vanished in thin air.
