A massive tear suddenly appeared in the space itself, as if sliced open by an invisible blade. The opening was pitch black, resembling an endless abyss that seemed to swallow all light.

This spatial rift had manifested directly through Zeraora's chest, making it appear as though the Electric-type Pokémon's body had been torn into two separate halves by the very fabric of space itself.

Eventually, the expanding void stopped growing and began to close, sealing itself shut before vanishing completely into nothingness. Zeraora's body collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.

"I'll need to thank my master when I return," Chris murmured quietly to himself.

The two spiraling Aura Sphere attacks hadn't been enough to defeat the powerful Zeraora. What truly brought down this legendary Pokémon was Palkia's signature move "Spacial Rend" - the devastating technique exclusive to the God of Space itself.

Looking down at the fallen Zeraora lying motionless on the ground, Chris quickly reached for his Poké Ball and threw it with practiced precision.

He was concerned that having defeated all the Pokémon within this dungeon, the mysterious space might automatically transport him out before he could capture his prize.

Zeraora, now completely defeated and unable to resist any further, was successfully captured without struggle. The Premier Ball shook once, twice, then clicked shut with a satisfying sound.

The moment Chris picked up the Premier Ball containing his newly caught Pokémon, the scenery around him shifted dramatically. He found himself back in his secret base, transported instantly from the dungeon's depths.

Now wasn't the time to relax and celebrate his victory. Chris hastily activated his teleportation device and returned to the Pokémon Center, quickly making his way to the computer terminal in the next room.

Chris felt a wave of relief wash over him when he saw the white-haired Zeraora resting peacefully in the PC storage system, safe and sound.

He reached out and accessed Zeraora's status information, eager to examine his new team member's capabilities.

[Zeraora (Electric Type)] (Shiny) (Legendary)

[Level: 72]

[Ability: Volt Absorb (This Pokémon is immune to Electric-type moves. When hit by Electric-type moves, it recovers 1/4 of its maximum HP.)]

[Individual Values: HP (31), Attack (31), Special Attack (31), Defense (31), Special Defense (31), Speed (31)]

[Known Moves: Quick Attack, Fake Out, Power-Up Punch, Spark, Snarl, Quick Guard, Slash, Volt Switch, Charge, Thunder Punch, Plasma Fists, Hone Claws, Discharge, Wild Charge, Agility...]

[Held Item: None]

Perfect IVs across the board... excellent! Chris couldn't help but smile at the impressive statistics.

Chris had never examined the status panels of other legendary Pokémon before, so he wasn't sure if these mythical creatures were naturally born with perfect individual values. It seemed likely that Pokémon destined for greatness would possess such exceptional genetic potential.

What truly puzzled Chris was that Zeraora wasn't holding any items when he caught it. This was unusual, as most legendary Pokémon were known to carry rare and powerful items.

There were no moves in Zeraora's repertoire that Chris hadn't seen before either.

"So that lightning barrier it used was simply its own mastery of electric abilities?" Chris speculated thoughtfully.

Actually, this was better news than if Zeraora had been carrying some exclusive legendary item. After all, Chris had been keeping "Zapdos's Treasure" unused in his inventory for quite some time.

If he equipped Zeraora with the Zapdos's Treasure, its combat effectiveness would likely more than double! The synergy between the Electric-type legendary and the powerful held item would be incredible.

However, Chris was also curious about what Zeraora's exclusive items might be. He made a mental note to bring it to a single-player dungeon next time to see what rare items he could obtain.

With the defeat of the legendary Pokémon that had been causing the electrical disturbances, the source of the underground power station's chaotic energy was finally resolved. As a result, the special dungeon version of the underground power station disappeared entirely. When Chris attempted to re-enter the location, he found only a normal power station map with no special properties.

"So they're not giving me a chance to capture a second legendary Pokémon here?" Chris's mouth curved into a knowing smile. He already knew of another location where he could find legendary Pokémon.

He controlled his character to seek out Nurse Joy for Pokémon healing services while reviewing the intense battle against Zeraora in his mind, already formulating training plans for his new team member.

There was no questioning Zeraora's offensive capabilities and incredible speed. The Electric-type legendary was truly formidable in both areas.

It would be nearly impossible for any of Chris's current Pokémon to defeat Zeraora in a one-on-one battle, even though they were only five levels higher. Even a two-on-one battle would be challenging.

A three-on-one battle might be more manageable, but even then, it would be difficult to guarantee victory.

After all, Zeraora wasn't an "extreme speed" specialist like Regieleki. The price Regieleki paid for its unmatched speed was severely reduced defensive capabilities.

As long as Chris could land a solid hit on Regieleki, it would be the Electric-type Regi that ended up in a Premier Ball instead of Zeraora.

"After I return, I need to quickly help Zeraora master the techniques of Mind Reader, Force Palm, and Close Combat," Chris planned carefully.

"I should also test whether it has any natural talent for Aura abilities."

"Once it masters all these techniques, its strength will definitely increase significantly!" Chris thought with excitement.

Chris could already imagine Zeraora in perfect condition, equipped with Zapdos's Treasure, dominating battles with overwhelming power and speed.

But that was the fundamental difference between trained Pokémon and wild ones.

Wild Pokémon were powerful because of their untamed nature and raw instincts, but Pokémon raised and trained by skilled Trainers often possessed superior physical conditioning, refined techniques, and strategic knowledge.

Combined with proper guidance and commands from an experienced Trainer, their combat effectiveness could be greatly enhanced beyond what nature alone provided.

Under equal species and level conditions, a Pokémon trained by a skilled Trainer could consistently defeat its wild counterpart through superior preparation and teamwork.

After Nurse Joy finished healing his Poké Balls and returned them, Chris put away his portable device and prepared to leave the secret base.

When Chris teleported back to the position where he had originally entered the dungeon, Theodore was nowhere to be found.

That made sense - it had taken Chris more than four hours to clear the underground power station seven times consecutively. Theodore probably couldn't wait that long and had moved on.

"Gardevoir, extend your psychic senses throughout the city and locate Theodore's position," Chris instructed his trusted partner.

Gardevoir responded immediately, quickly scanning the area with its powerful psychic abilities. Within moments, it had locked onto Theodore's location and teleported Chris directly to him.

Among the crumbling ruins of the abandoned city, Theodore had just finished quietly defeating an Electivire that had been affected by the hypnotic influence. He was cautiously retreating when he turned around and saw Chris suddenly appearing before him.

The unexpected arrival startled him considerably.

"Your strength..." Theodore looked at Chris with obvious surprise and growing respect.

Chris had just teleported here without Theodore's own Xatu detecting the approach, which was clear evidence that Chris's Shiny Gardevoir had surpassed his own Xatu in terms of pure psychic power and control.

"What were you doing just now?" Theodore asked curiously.

"I went to resupply," Chris replied casually, not wanting to reveal the full extent of his recent adventure. "What about you? What brings you to this area?"

"Didn't I mention earlier that I planned to help these hypnotized Pokémon?"

"Since I can't confront that legendary Zapdos directly in battle, I decided to try a more indirect approach. I'm defeating these hypnotized Pokémon one by one, then capturing them temporarily to bring them to safety before releasing them once they're out of danger," Theodore explained patiently. This was the most cautious but safest method he could think of to help the affected Pokémon.

"That sounds like a solid plan. Do whatever you think is best," Chris replied, though he wasn't entirely sure what level that particular Zapdos had reached.

Even though he now had Zeraora on his team, he could still vividly remember the scene where the Level 78 Zapdos had completely overwhelmed him in their previous encounter.

If it wasn't absolutely necessary, he preferred not to provoke a Zapdos that had mastered spatial manipulation abilities.

But Chris knew that once he started thinking this way, he was setting himself up like an old general on stage, surrounded by warning flags of impending conflict.

A battle against this powerful Zapdos was probably inevitable, whether he wanted it or not.
