Chris and Mega Gardevoir teleported directly into Sea Mauville's hidden laboratory—the same place where Lovrina had been conducting her experiments from the beginning.

Under her hypnotized guidance, they quickly located the Purification Chamber.

The device resembled a massive container, similar in design to the dark cultivation pods Chris had seen earlier. However, this one was filled with a liquid that glowed as white as pure light itself.

"Place Dark Lugia inside," the hypnotized Lovrina instructed, her voice mechanical yet clear as she guided the purification process.

Chris retrieved the Poke Ball containing the corrupted Lugia, and Mega Gardevoir used its psychic powers to telekinetically open the sphere and gently lower the unconscious Pokemon into the chamber.

As Lugia's body made contact with the purifying liquid, the air immediately filled with a sharp hissing sound—like red-hot iron being doused with cold water.

"Hraaahhh..." Lugia's unconscious form shuddered within the chamber.

Fortunately, the Legendary Pokemon remained unconscious from the battle. Otherwise, the purification process—which seemed to penetrate down to the very marrow—would have caused excruciating pain.

"The purification process requires two hours to complete," Lovrina stated in her trance-like tone.

Chris nodded, taking the opportunity to survey the laboratory around him. He noticed several additional Purification Chambers positioned throughout the facility.

"Let's purify that Dragonite and Malamar as well," he decided.

"I cannot purify them," Lovrina suddenly responded, her blank expression unchanging.

"You can't purify them? But you can purify Dark Lugia?" Chris asked, puzzled by this contradiction.

"Dragonite and Malamar are ultimate Dark Pokemon that have undergone complete transformation. They cannot be purified using the equipment available in this laboratory. Dark Lugia, when you arrived, was still undergoing the final stage of its transformation—it was about to become an ultimate Dark Pokemon that could never be purified," Lovrina explained, her eyes remaining vacant and unfocused.

"What a coincidence," Chris remarked with a slight nod. It seemed luck had been on his side, and his timing had been perfect.

Being able to obtain a Lugia was already an incredible stroke of fortune. Dark Dragonite and Dark Malamar weren't essential to his plans anyway.

"What about those other Dark Pokemon outside? Are they also ultimate Dark Pokemon?" Chris inquired.

"Of course not. They don't even deserve to be called Dark Pokemon," Lovrina replied with disdain. Even under hypnosis, she maintained her superiority complex regarding her work.

"Then purify all of them," Chris commanded.

"Understood." Lovrina immediately began operating the laboratory's main computer system.

Instantly, with Sea Mauville serving as the epicenter, the white purifying liquid began spreading outward through the water like liquid light dispersing through the ocean.

Within a radius of several kilometers, every Dark Pokemon that came into contact with this luminous purification agent immediately began trembling and crying out in apparent agony.

The waters surrounding Sea Mauville filled with the pained calls of countless Pokemon undergoing the cleansing process.

However, their suffering didn't last long.

Since these were originally normal Pokemon that hadn't been transformed into ultimate Dark Pokemon, they contained relatively small amounts of dark energy. This meant they could be purified much more rapidly than heavily corrupted specimens.

Once their consciousness returned and the dark influence lifted, they immediately fled the area.

The corruption process had made them aggressive and easily manipulated without erasing their memories. Chris estimated they would never willingly return to this place, which would forever remain a source of nightmarish memories.

After exactly two hours had passed, Dark Lugia's purification was finally complete.

However, its appearance retained a permanent layer of black coloration that couldn't be removed.

After all, it had been only one step away from becoming an ultimate Dark Pokemon when the process was interrupted.

It was incredibly fortunate that the darkness within its body could be purified at all. Whether its physical coloration returned to normal seemed relatively unimportant in comparison.

"Isn't this essentially a Shiny Lugia?" Chris chuckled to himself.

As long as he didn't reveal the truth, who would know this was actually a side effect of the corruption process?

In terms of appearance alone, this looked exactly like a rare black Lugia variant!

Whether it was stronger than a normal Lugia remained to be seen, but it would certainly make an impressive addition to his team.

"It looks like my flying mount will be upgraded from Totem Salamence to Lugia in the future," Chris muttered to himself with satisfaction. He retrieved a Poke Ball and recalled the newly purified Lugia.

Opening his Pokemon interface, he examined its detailed statistics.

This was Lugia—a genuine Legendary Pokemon! Its move pool was incredibly diverse, featuring powerful attacks from Dragon, Water, Flying, and Psychic types. At least five or six moves in its repertoire could be considered signature-level techniques.

Once he raised its level further, he could potentially sweep an entire Champion's team with this single Pokemon!

Chris pocketed Lugia's Poke Ball with deep satisfaction. He planned to visit a Pokemon Center for treatment later, and then finally experience the thrill of soaring through the skies on Lugia's back.

"Bring Lovrina along. Let's leave this place," Chris instructed Mega Gardevoir.

He had already recalled all his other Pokemon to their Poke Balls.

The question now was: how exactly did one complete this dungeon?

Should he simply leave directly, or was there something else required?

If leaving directly would cause the dungeon to register as failed, Chris wouldn't mind attempting the Sea Mauville dungeon again. The rewards had proven more than worth the effort.

However, Chris's concerns proved unnecessary. When he and Mega Gardevoir had traveled more than three kilometers away from Sea Mauville, a brilliant flash of light suddenly appeared before his eyes.

In the next instant, Chris found himself back in his room.

On his handheld device, the protagonist stood at the entrance to Sea Mauville. A system notification appeared on screen, displaying three simple yet breathtaking rewards.
