Early morning.

At the entrance of the villa, Tyranitar was constructing a fortress out of sand blocks, eating while building. Upstairs, Chris had just finished his shower and sat comfortably at the tea table on the balcony, drinking milk. Across from him, Gardevoir was quietly reading a book.

Back at his villa, he naturally woke up early for some surfing practice!

This time Chris had tried something different—he let Greninja take a break and used Lugia as his transport to drag him across the ocean.

At the speed Lugia could travel around the world in just a few hours, with Chris as a "passenger," he could only describe the experience as absolutely incredible!

If it weren't for the three orbs he carried on his body, he would have been reduced to ash by the air resistance halfway through the journey. Even the rope and surfboard required significant reinforcement to withstand Lugia's incredible pulling power.

He estimated that if he participated in Alto Mare's water competition again, not only would he easily claim first place, but he would probably shatter every existing competition record!

Unfortunately, Alto Mare's Grand Prix wasn't currently in session.

Taking a sip of milk to calm his excitement, Chris retrieved his handheld device to check his progress.

On the screen, his character had already begun heading toward the "Ferrum Region," with only three minutes remaining before arrival.

The map function allowed Chris to use Pokemon's "Fly" ability to travel there without physically going himself.

The Ferrum Region wasn't actually very far away—it was located near both the Kalos and Galar Regions. Chris only needed to reach the Kalos Region first, then fly to the Ferrum Region from there.

Including the journey from the Hoenn Region to Kalos, Chris had only flown for about an hour.

What would have previously taken half a day or a full day had been drastically reduced after Chris obtained Lugia.

**[0 hours 1 minute 33 seconds]**

**[0 hours 1 minute 32 seconds]**

He watched the countdown timer tick toward zero.

The handheld screen transformed into a map displaying eight cursor locations representing different areas.

Old Ferrum Town, Technē City, Haunted House, Tellur Town, Ferrum Stadium, Ryme Island, Thalia Beach, and Neos City.

Chris could move the cursor and choose where his character would appear, but unlike other games where the protagonist could freely explore maps, each location here had its specific function that could be accessed directly.

Chris examined each location individually, then organized his findings:

**Old Ferrum Town:** Home to the Pokemon Center and numerous shops.

**Technē City:** A specialized training town featuring the most professional Pokemon exercise equipment and training teams.

**Haunted House, Ryme Island, Thalia Beach:** Locations for capturing wild Pokemon.

**Neos City, Tellur Town:** Areas populated with many Trainers, where random opponents could be found for single battles.

**Ferrum Stadium:** The headquarters of the Ferrum League.

"The Ferrum Region interface reminds me of Pokken Tournament..." Chris mused.

That made perfect sense, since the Ferrum Region served as the setting for the Pokken Tournament game.

Using his handheld device was essentially like opening "Pokken Tournament" itself.

"Well, the turn-based system has become real-time combat," Chris smiled as he directed his character to enter the "Ferrum Stadium."

The scene before Chris shifted, and he found himself standing in a bustling hall.

People moved about constantly, with staff members at the front handling registrations.

"There are still some differences," Chris muttered, approaching the staff. Since he was essentially in a Pokken Tournament game, it would be unreasonable not to participate in some battles.

"Hello, how may I help you?" a staff member asked with a professional smile.

"I'd like to learn more about the Ferrum League competitions. What should I do?" Chris inquired.

"Are you a tourist from another region? You can use this brochure for information." The staff member immediately handed over a palm-sized pamphlet.

Chris accepted the booklet, found a chair, and sat down to read it carefully.

The content wasn't extensive, and Chris finished reading within five or six minutes.

He now had a general understanding of the Ferrum League's challenge rules.

The Ferrum League's challenge system differed significantly from other regions.

In other regions, challengers needed to defeat Gym Leaders first, then pass through Victory Road before challenging the Elite Four and Champion.

The Ferrum League operated on a pure point-ranking system.

Through continuous battles within the League, reaching certain point thresholds would grant access to battles against the three Masters and the Champion.

The Ferrum League had no Elite Four.

Chris speculated this might relate to the Ferrum Region's compact size—perhaps too small to accommodate traditional Gyms.

However, this arrangement worked in his favor, as he wouldn't need to travel around collecting Badges.

Beyond the different League challenge rules, the Pokemon battle regulations here also varied from the outside world.

Every match in the Ferrum Region was a singles battle with only one main battling Pokemon allowed.

However, there was a "Support Pokemon" system.

Support Pokemon could be called out while the main battling Pokemon was active, but they could only use one move before being recalled.

Each battle allowed only three Support Pokemon uses, and the Support Pokemon had to be registered before battle began, with only two slots available.

Therefore, Trainers in the Ferrum Region not only cultivated their main battle ace but also trained two Pokemon specifically for support purposes.

This wouldn't be a problem for Chris—he had plenty of Pokemon available, so even a lineup with one main fighter and two supporters would work perfectly.

Turning to the final page, Chris found content he was particularly interested in hearing about:

Rewards!

Every Ferrum League battle victory earned points, which served as the region's currency. These points functioned as legal tender throughout the Ferrum League, whether for meals, hotel stays, or entertainment.

Additionally, various Pokemon resources could be exchanged through the Ferrum League.

These included TMs, Evolution Stones, rare Pokemon eggs, and even Mega Evolution Stones.

While these items didn't particularly attract Chris, he was genuinely interested in something called "Synergy Stones."

**Synergy Stone: Creates resonance with Pokemon, temporarily improving Pokemon combat power and granting unique abilities.**

This was an item exclusive to the Ferrum Region!

It functioned similarly to Z-Crystals from the Alola Region.

"Ten thousand points... that's not too expensive," Chris noted after seeing that Sceptile's Mega Evolution Stone cost 120,000 points, giving him a preliminary assessment of point values.

"Well then, let's get started!"
