CHAPTER 37: CHAPTER 37

Park min’s POV

I was driving with some wrinkles curled at the front of my head because Yu Jin had spent the entire day running after the "perfect" sparkly green dinosaur for Rin, and now he was sitting in the passenger seat acting like I was the one who fucked up the schedule.

Rain slammed the windshield so hard the wipers sounded like they were crying. I kept both hands on the wheel, eyes squinting through the blur.

"You could say thank you," I muttered.

"For what?" Yu Jin didn’t even look at me. "For missing our flight because you drive like an old man?"

"I drive like someone who doesn’t want to die in a ditch. You’re welcome."

He huffed and crossed his arms. The silent treatment lasted exactly thirty seconds.

"There." He pointed at a half-dead neon sign. VACANCY. "Pull in before we end up sleeping in this car."

I turned into the parking lot. The place looked like it rented rooms by the hour and regrets by the dozen.

Inside, the clerk didn’t look up from his phone. "One room left. One bed."

Yu Jin made a disgusted sound. "You’re joking."

"Storm’s bad, man. Take it or leave it."

I slid my card across the counter before Yu Jin could start yelling. He snatched the key and stormed out.

The room smelled like old smoke. One bed. Sagging in the middle. Yu Jin dropped his bags and glared at it like it personally insulted his bloodline.

"Great," he said. "One bed. With you. This night keeps getting better."

I rolled my eyes. "Relax. I’m not gonna jump you. I have self-control."

He gave me that look. The one that says he remembers exactly why I rejected him years ago. "Sure you do, Min."

I grabbed my towel. "I’m showering first."

"Shocker."

The bathroom door didn’t close. The lock was broken. The clerk had handed us a cheap white curtain on a spring rod and said "good luck."

I showered fast, came out with a towel around my waist, hair dripping. Yu Jin was sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling his phone, with his jaw tight.

"Your turn, princess," I said.

He stood up, grabbed his stuff, and disappeared behind the curtain without a word.

I sat on the bed, trying to find a signal. Nothing. Rin was probably already asleep at the house with Woo-min. That guy had been pissing me off OMG but I guess he was stick at home with the baby now, heh!. Not my problem.

The shower started. The curtain was basically tissue paper. The light behind it turned everything into shadows.

Yu Jin pulled his shirt off first. Shoulders were tinily broad, back muscles moving when he reached up to shove his hair back. He bent to push his jeans down and the towel dropped too for a second. I saw the curve of his ass before he stepped under the water.

I looked away.

Looked back.

He was facing the wall now, one hand braced, head down. Water ran down his spine, over his lower back, between his legs. His other hand moved slow across his stomach, lower. Stopped. Griped himself.

My throat went dry.

I shifted on the bed. My sweats were suddenly too tight. I pressed my palm down. Didn’t help.

He let out this low breath. Almost a groan. The sound hit me straight in the gut.

I couldn’t stop watching. His hand moved slowly, and steadily. Up and down. Shoulders tense. Hips pushing forward a little with every stroke.

My own hand moved before I could think. Slid under my waistband. Just to take the edge off. That’s all.

I bit my lip hard, stroked once, twice. I tried to keep quiet but the water cut off.

The curtain flew open.

And Yu Jin stood there dripping, towel hanging low on his hips, eyes locked on my hand still wrapped around myself.

I froze.

He didn’t move. Just stared. Voice low and rough.

"Couldn’t even wait five minutes, huh?"
