Yu jin’S POV

I honestly thought I’d already lived through the worst day of my life, you know? Getting kidnapped, dragged around like some cheap sack of potatoes, tied up next to Lee Know who kept whispering all sorts of stuff because of his hormones, like bro, I’m literally fighting for my life here but apparently the universe heard all that and said, "Wait, hold my beer."

Because the real worst day started when my body snapped.

And I don’t mean snapped like "oh Yu Jin is stressed and crying again."

No.

I mean snapped, like something old and buried clawed its way back up my spine and started knocking on every nerve.

And the whole time Fan Xiao, pregnant as hell and breathing like he was in labor even though he wasn’t... well he was clutching my arm and whispering, "Yu Jin don’t freak out," which was insane because he was literally the one shaking like a fridge in an earthquake.

Everything was a mess. The kidnappers were knocked out. The big gun idiot had returned and forced us onto the floor again. My head felt weird, like my scent was tearing itself open from the inside.

And then the pheromone hit me.

And it wasn’t normal. It wasn’t omega heat. It wasn’t alpha rut. It wasn’t anything they teach you in school or in those weird government pamphlets about scent safety.

It was me.

The real me.

The one I was never allowed to be.

"Yu Jin, you’re sweating...why are you sweating like that?" Lee Know whispered, eyes wide, like he thought I was about to explode.

I wanted to tell him to stop staring at me like I was giving birth through my forehead, but I couldn’t talk because everything hurt and everything felt too bright and too loud and suddenly the world smelled different.

Fan Xiao’s omega scent; soft, tired, desperate hit me full in the face, and something inside me went, "Oh. Oh we’re doing this now."

I heard a click inside my chest.

Fan Xiao pulled back like he’d touched fire. "Yu Jin, your scent..your scent...WHAT IS THAT.."

"I don’t KNOW," I hissed, pressing my back against the wall because my legs were trembling like I’d run ten miles. "Stop...stop smelling me like that.."

"I can’t help it!" he shot back, voice high. "My baby inside is reacting.."

"Oh great," I said, "I’m stressing out, and an unborn child thinks I’m sweet for them. Love this journey for me."

Lee Know crawled closer like a concerned hamster. "Yu Jin, you smell like...like...sweets and cherry"

He blinked.

His mouth dropped open.

Then he said, dead serious:

"You smell like an alpha who’s more than an Alpha."

I froze.

For a whole second the world just... stopped. Even the kidnappers quieted down. Like everyone knew that wasn’t something you toss around casually.

Fan Xiao whispered it next, like he was scared the walls might tattle on us.

"Yu Jin... I think you’re... you know... one of them."

"Don’t say it," I muttered.

But I was actually an enigma.

"Alpha with Alphas? Or above Alphas?"

"BRO I SAID DON’T SAY IT."

There’s even no way they’d think I’m an enigma, they’d rather believe Elephants can fly.

I felt like I was having a fever and a panic attack and puberty all at once.

Madam Park arrived alongside Park min and Fan Xiao. So it’s true that she was actually behind my kidnap.

Did she just do this for fun?

And Madam Park actually held up her hand as I deep stared, and said, "Relax, sweetheart, your hormones are loud."

Fan Xiao burst into tears.

Then she pointed at Lee Know and Yu Jin. "Let them go."

The kidnappers looked confused but obeyed because Madam Park had that vibe like she’d shoot them herself if they hesitated.

When the ropes came off, the first thing I did wasn’t run or scream. I pulled out my phone with shaking hands and called Woo Min.

He picked up on the first ring, sounding half-dead. "Yu Jin? Yu Jin? Oh thank God you’re alive where are you? why didn’t you call..."

"Is Rin okay?" I blurted.

"What? Yes yes Rin is fine he’s with me Yu Jin, what happened "

"I’ll talk later," I said, breathing out. "Tell him I love him."

"YU fucking JIN..."

I hung up because if I didn’t, I’d start crying and refuse to stop.

Madam Park was already turning to leave. "Come with me, all of you."

And then he walked in.

Park.

Min.

My body reacted so violently I stumbled back like an idiot. My breath caught. A sound ripped out of my throat I didn’t even understand.

He froze.

He sensed me instantly.

Of course he did.

I was his omega. His true omega.

His eyes darkened. "Yu Jin?"

But what was wrong with me, I was feeling this attraction towards Park min and I couldn’t explain, like I wanted to fuck him till he stops breathing.

Fan Xiao ran to his baby mama of course and hugged him so tight.

Park min looked at me.

"I know I know," I hissed.

Park Min sniffed the air and his entire posture changed.

"What is this?" he muttered. "Why do you smell like...like..."

And then he froze.

"Yu Jin," he said slowly, "Are you in a... rut?"

I tried to avoid him by going back home on my own, but he wasn’t helping.

He pulled me back and took me into the car and we drove straight to his house.

I was trying so hard to control my self but he kept doing it, his scent, he had this desire being emitted from him, Lord help him if I catch him.

I wasn’t only going to devour him, I kept thinking of all the things I could do to him in my head.

This was the first. As an enigma who had to undergo procedures to shut that part of me early enough, I couldn’t hold it.

Back in the day when ABO just got discovered there were very rare enigmas and any enigma who got caught was immediately used as an experiment or they’ll try to be shut due to their unusual powers.

Why was it coming back though, I not only dropped to Alpha rank but I was an omega. A poor little omega and I and my mother were forced to live back in the suburbs struggling with life before I came to the city and got myself pregnant.

My dad left after he found out my mom had used all her money and done a lot to reduce my rank. My dad only planned to use me for his political gains.

But that’s not the issue, right now I wanted to devour Park min.
