CHAPTER 71: CHAPTER 71

~Yu jin~

The day just began and I was already in a bad mood. I hadn’t eaten that ass for days now and Park min was like a little princess to me now and honestly I needed to get used to it because that’s always been my spot even if I’d not always been treated like I one.

Honestly I thought I was ready for anything by the time we pulled up to Park Min’s mansion, and by "ready" I mean mentally prepared to get murdered by Woo Min for disappearing with Park Min for

days with out warning, because that man treated Rin like the crown prince of the universe and treated me like the irresponsible uncle who needed to be slapped every three hours. But apparently the universe looked at me and said, "No, actually, let’s ruin your confidence completely," because the second Park Min tried to get out of the car and almost collapsed, I knew I was about to walk into the most humiliating moment of his life. Don’t ask me why.

"Don’t look at me," he hissed, gripping the car door like it personally offended him. "Don’t....just don’t."

"Okay," I said. I looked. Obviously. That ass struggling to walk to the door like a good little boy...:)

He glared at me like he wanted to throw me off the driveway. "Yu Jin. Don’t."

"I’m not laughing," I said while absolutely laughing inside because he was walking like someone who lost a fight against a demon horse.

"I swear to....just walk," he muttered. "Act normal."

"I am acting normal," I said, walking perfectly fine, stepping onto the mansion porch like I hadn’t spent the entire past nights doing things that should’ve killed both of us. "You’re the one moving like your soul left your body halfway through."

"Shut up."

"That’s not how shutting up works...."

"Yu. Jin. Please."

And that was the exact moment the front door swung open and Woo Min appeared with Rin in his arms, glaring like a tired single mother who hadn’t slept since the Joseon dynasty.

"You two..." he started, ready to launch into the rant of the century, but then his eyes slid down to the way Park Min was bracing himself on the wall and I watched the exact second his brain short-circuited.

He blinked once.

Twice. He did the thing now where he blinked multiple times.

Then his jaw dropped. "No. No. No way. There is absolutely no way."

"What?" I asked, pretending to be clueless because it was fun.

He pointed like a dramatic auntie exposing a neighbor’s affair. "Explain. Immediately. Why is he walking like that and you’re not?!"

Park Min made this strangled noise like he wanted to die on the spot. "Don’t start."

"I’m absolutely starting," Woo Min said, stepping onto the porch like he was going to conduct a full investigation. "Yah, Park Min, you look like you lost a battle to a horse who kept kicking and kissing you in the butt. And Yu Jin looks like he went jogging. What is this?"

"Nothing happened," Park Min snapped.

"Nothing happened?" Woo Min repeated, laughing in a way that said he was enjoying this far too much. "My brother in Christ, you look like your back is suing you."

Low key... I was wondering if Woo min had already gotten over me to make such jokes and it was annoying. Did he find someone he was in love with?

"Woo Min," Park Min warned.

"Oh my God," Woo Min whispered, eyes widening as the truth hit him like a truck. "Yu Jin. Yu topped you?"

"WOO MIN!" Park Min practically roared.

I covered my mouth because I absolutely snorted. I tried so hard not to but it came out anyway and Rin laughed too because apparently chaos was contagious.

Woo Min lost it. Completely. He laughed so hard Rin bounced in his arms like a confused potato. "No. NO. This is history. This is the best day of my entire life. I need to sit down. I can’t breathe." woo min kept screaming.

"Shut up," Park Min said again, and honestly his face was red enough to roast chestnuts on.

"No, because I’ve known Yu for years and never did I ever.....ha ha ha...," Woo Min continued like he was delivering a TED Talk, "and I never imagined this timeline. Ever. Park Min, the pride of Korea, the most uptight Alpha alive, the man who gets offended at dust....."

"I am going to hit you," Park Min said through his teeth.

"...got folded by Yu Jin. YOU GOT FOLDED. OH MY...."

"Woo Min," Park Min said again, but quieter, angrier. "Stop. Talking. The kid can hear you."

"No, don’t worry he won’t understand, unfortunately of course hahahaha," Woo Min said, taking a breath like he was about to keep going.

So Park Min did the only thing left: he changed the subject like a guilty criminal.

"Tell me the truth about Yu Jin."

Woo Min blinked. "Huh?"

Park Min pointed at me like I was an unsolved math problem. "You. Tell me what’s wrong with him."

"Wow," I said. "Love that phrasing. Really sweet."

"I’m serious," Park Min said, turning to Woo Min with the intensity of someone begging a doctor for results. "He’s hiding something. He has to be. Tell me. You grew up with him. You know everything."

"About what?" Woo Min asked, completely lost.

"About him," Park Min snapped. "Why he’s...." he waved a hand vaguely at me because the man couldn’t even say it without blushing again, "....stronger than me. Why he... did that. Why he made me....why this is happening."

Woo Min just stared at him. "Are you seriously asking me why Yu Jin topped you? Like I have a manual?"

"I KNOW YOU KNOW SOMETHING!" Park Min shouted.

"I KNOW NOTHING!" Woo Min shouted back.

"I don’t believe you."

"Okay?? And?? What do you want me to do about your delusion?"

Rin started babbling nonsense like he was adding commentary.

Honestly, I envied him.

Park Min stepped closer, forgetting for a second that his entire body was still recovering, so he winced and had to grip the wall again.

Woo Min laughed all over again. "Look at you. Oh my God. Yu Jin, what did you DO to him?"

"I’m right here," I reminded him.

"Yeah, that’s the problem," Woo Min said.

Park Min ignored us both. "Just tell me. Did you notice anything weird about him lately?"

"No?" Woo Min said. "Except that he acts like an old soul and a feral cat at the same time."

"That’s just me," I added.

"He smells different," Park Min pressed.

"Lots of people smell different sometimes?" Woo Min said.

"He feels different."

"You’re projecting."

"He kept up with me," Park Min insisted.

"And?" Woo Min said.

"And that is not normal."

Woo Min stared at him. "You’re literally an Alpha."

"And he...." Park Min pointed at me again like I personally ruined his family line, "....is definitely not a normal omega."

"Thank you?" I said. "I think?"

Woo Min shifted Rin to his other arm, squinting at me. "Are you hiding something?"

"No," I lied.

"Yu," Woo Min said slowly.

"It’s nothing big," I lied again.

"YU."

"Let’s talk inside," Park Min said abruptly, probably because he didn’t want the entire neighborhood hearing about how his omega rearranged him.

We stepped inside and immediately Rin reached for me with those chubby little fingers like he’d been offended I didn’t pick him up yet.

I took him, because obviously, and Woo Min sighed dramatically like he was a single parent giving his child to the worst babysitter in the city.

The arguing continued instantly because none of us had self-control.

Woo Min: "So you’re just going to act like this is normal?"

Park Min: "Nothing about this is normal!"

Me: "Okay, wow, hurtful."

Woo Min: "No, because I need to understand. Yu Jin, did you eat something? Did you drink something? Did you touch something radioactive?"

Me: "Are you dumb?"

Park Min: "He’s hiding something."

Woo Min: "He IS hiding something."

Me: "You both need therapy."

Rin: "Ba....ba....ba....."

Woo Min: "Even Rin agrees."

Me: "He doesn’t even have a vocabulary yet."

Park Min: "He said yes."

Me: "HE DID NOT...m"

Woo Min: "Just tell us the truth."

Me: "It’s not....."

Park Min: "Yu Jin."

Me: "I can’t....."

Woo Min: "You CAN."

"I SAID I CAN’T!" I finally snapped, louder than I meant to, and everyone froze except Rin who kept chewing on my hoodie string like nothing happened.

Park Min stared at me like he wanted to peel the truth out of me with his bare hands. "Yu Jin."

"Not now," I muttered, hugging Rin tighter.

"What do you mean not now?" Woo Min asked.

"I mean not now," I said. "Drop it."

"Yu," Woo Min pressed.

"I SAID DROP...."

And then the universe said, "Time to ruin everything even more," because the front door swung open again and a woman stepped in like she owned the place, holding Rin’s spare blanket in her hands like she had every right to be confused.

She looked at us.

Then at Rin in my arms.

Then back at us.

She frowned.

"Whose child is this?"

My soul left my body.

Park Min whispered, "You have got to be kidding me."

Woo Min muttered, "Oh my GOD."

They were two strong feminine looking women.
