CHAPTER 72: CHAPTER 72

~Yu jin~

When both of them stepped in, I was trying to process where I had seen that face before ... Oh! Oh! oh! Remember the first day I went to Park min’s house and then I gave him the hangover pills, she was there. She’s the one he kissed, in front of me.

I still remember how goitre stood on my neck( I don’t have goitre) but there it was, he wasn’t even mine. He was the baby daddy who abandoned me but I couldn’t stop wanting his lips on mine.... Stop why am I getting red thinking about it....anyways fast forward to present she’s standing in my home, well my baby daddy’s but technically mine and she’s with another lady.

And just like that, the universe decided to really mess with me today. The front door swung open, and there they were, two human tornadoes that somehow decided the world needed to witness their arrival, holding Rin’s spare blanket like they personally discovered the cure for every disease on the planet. My soul left my body. I swear it tried to pack a bag and leave with dignity, but dignity does not exist in my life apparently.

They were... wow. Strong, sharp, feminine, unapologetically "don’t fuck with me" women energy, the kind of energy that makes grown men question every life choice they’ve ever made. Hana.....my chaos queen, the one who can flip your world upside down with a glare and a sentence...if only I listened to her advice back then. She was standing there, arms crossed like she just found out the world owed her money. And then Anning... who doesn’t know Anning? She’s a famous model from china who was in New York, LA and all of America. Her life was nothing different from what the media said about her.

The aura around her was screaming "I will personally disassemble anyone who dares interrupt my day." By feminine, I meant women who will never, ever take shit from men, and these two were walking proof.

And the weirdest thing? They were looking at each other like the world just handed them a Rubik’s cube and forgot to tell them the solution. Hana’s brow twitched like she was trying to read Anning’s soul through sheer willpower, and Anning was blinking, probably deciding whether to laugh, scream, or throw something. The tension wasn’t subtle. It was a goddamn fireworks display, except the fireworks were two women assessing each other with the precision of military snipers.

Park Min...the little princess himself, still holding onto his dignity like it was a fragile porcelain vase...squinted and muttered, "Anning... when did you arrive?"

I almost choked on Rin’s chubby little fist of adorableness. Oh, this was going to be a show.

Anning turned on him like he just announced she had to clean the entire mansion with a toothbrush. "I’m back," she snapped, eyes darting like someone shoved a jackhammer into her skull. "But he...." she nodded toward me, because of course, of course she noticed me "I don’t know why there is a man stealing my best friend’s man."

Hana tilted her head, lips twitching as if she wanted to smile but decided against it, like she was calibrating just how much chaos Anning could handle before she spontaneously combusted. She stepped forward, trying to be... I don’t know, calming? Mediating? She looked like a hostage negotiator dealing with someone who had two detonators taped to their chest.

"Anning," Hana said, voice low, trying for calm but failing miserably because she is Hana, "breathe. Just... breathe. Let’s not explode on the first day."

Explode? Explode is my life. Explode is Anning’s life. Explode is basically my daily warm-up routine, so I braced myself.

"Oh my god, breathe? Do you see him?" Anning nearly shrieked, jerking her head toward me. "He...he looks like a woman! And he’s not a woman! And he’s...he’s...with a man! Park Min, didn’t you hate...wait, didn’t you hate men? Weren’t you homophobic? And now there’s a child? A child that looks like both of you?"

I had to physically stop myself from laughing so hard I snorted in Rin’s face. Yeah, that’s right, I am the omega, sassy, chaotic, and apparently the center of Anning’s apocalypse right now. I’m fine. Totally fine. Just a little death threat of a best friend yelling at me like I personally ruined the space-time continuum.

Park Min’s jaw twitched, "Yes.. and why am I being reminded about this every few days to weeks? Isn’t it clocking to you guys that’s I just became an Alpha and it’s normal now?".

"Exactly!" Anning yelled, waving her hands like she was summoning the gods to fix this mess. "Explain! Someone explain why this omega...this....this person who looks like a delicate flower, why did he even seduce you Park min and make him become an Alpha."

"Can I remind you," I said, because obviously, the universe expects me to clarify every minor catastrophe in my life in real-time, "that I am standing right here? I can hear everything. Thanks for the character assassination."

Anning blinked. "YOU!" She pointed at me like she was about to accuse me of war crimes. "You are the...oh my God, never mind. You are a problem. A huge, unfixable problem."

Hana sighed so dramatically it could have powered a small city. She stepped between us, arms flailing like she was trying to catch a tornado. "Anning! Stop yelling. You...he’s not...just breathe!"

"Breathe? BREATHE?!" Anning shrieked, grabbing the air as if it was taunting her. "This is a human catastrophe! Yu Jin is... he’s..." She gestured wildly at me. "He’s everything wrong in the universe! And Park Min..." she spun toward him, narrowing her eyes, "...how did you let this happen? Did you even notice? Did you see your omega growing up into chaos incarnate?!"

Park Min made a noise somewhere between a groan and a sob. "I’m literally so tired can we postpone this?." He was gripping the wall like it owed him something.

I had to physically shove Rin closer to me so I could step back, because if Anning lunged any closer, she would have been a human missile. "Rin, just... watch. Observe. Life is a mess, buddy. Take notes."

And then Woo Min, ever the calm storm of exasperation, shook his head and muttered, "She’s sharp."

I turned toward him, because of course Woo Min had to throw gasoline on this fire, and I realized... Hana was staring at Woo Min in a weird way. Not subtle. Not even close. That little glint in her eye that screamed "I know what you’re hiding, and I do not approve."

I internally noted: oh. Oh, that’s a thing. Hana and Woo min clearly have a history. Clearly. Interesting. Dangerous. All at once.

"Does ummmmm Woo Min care to explain anything?" I asked, because why not interrogate the calmest person here while chaos erupted around us?

Woo Min said nothing. Of course he didn’t. Silence is his weapon. Or maybe he was just enjoying the show like the rest of us.

And then... Hana, eyes narrowing, voice sharper than a knife, dropped the bomb: "I slept with Woo Min."

The world slowed. Rin stopped mid-chew on my hoodie string. Park Min choked on air. Anning’s jaw literally left the orbit of her face. And I? I almost laughed so hard I fell over. But I held it together because, apparently, dignity has a weird way of laughing at you when you need it least.

"Wait. WHAT?" Anning screamed, pointing at Hana like she just announced the apocalypse. "WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?"

Hana shrugged, cool as if she just told someone the Wi-Fi was down. "That’s a fact. Not a rumor."

I had to physically stop Anning from lunging at Hana like a predator. "Anning do you want to take her home or continue with all of this."

She froze for half a second, processing that her best friend casually admitted to sleeping with Woo Min, the calm, untouchable alpha of the household, and then she yelled again. "I... I hope the same thing never happens between me and Fan Xiao! Because if it is... or if it does I won’t survive."

Park Min blinked at her like she just mentioned an alien species living in the basement. "Wait, wait. Who? Fan Xiao?"

"Exactly," Anning snapped, glaring at him like he should have known. "Im engaged to Fan Xiao, you didn’t know, Hana didn’t tell you?"

"You don’t mean Fan Xiao the hacker do you?" Park min asked.

"Of course I mean him! He’s my fiancee and I know you’re surprised, he’s quite famous and also for some illegal stuff but trust me he’s the nicest. You know what? I’ll return home with Hana, she clearly slept with a guy in here and looks over Park min, so yah! Bye!"

" Oh my God...." Park min said as he smiled, I think it actually gave him a relief. "You do know that I and Woo min are brothers right Hana?"

"What?!" She gasped.

I honestly didn’t think Park min was this petty, I know he only said that to make her feel bad.

"Woo min why did you ghost me?" She asked. That was actually her question.

I expected weird answers but trust me, I never expected this.

But oh well I smiled, because oh, the irony, the chaos, the perfect, messy cosmic joke. And I knew. I knew exactly what Anning didn’t yet: Fan Xiao already has a boyfriend. She’s worried, she’s fiery, she’s chaotic, she’s yelling, she’s spitting out the words like grenades, and yet...she had no idea the very thing she’s fretting over is already a completed mess somewhere else.
