CHAPTER 144: PRINCESS ERESIA

Sean had just arrived in front of Sylas’s room when he saw the guards standing nervously by the door. When they saw him coming, the guards greeted him with relief.

"What’s going on?" asked Sean, looking puzzled.

One of the guards looked embarrassed as he explained. "We can’t go in yet," he said.

Sean looked at the door and immediately understood what they meant. It seemed Kai was inside. He grew a little worried. Just in case, he told the servant to wait outside.

Once inside, his guess was confirmed. Sylas was still fast asleep, naked, hugging Kai, who was also naked. Even though the blanket covered their bodies, no guard dared to enter.

Sean walked closer and saw Kai, who was already awake. The young man looked at him in panic but didn’t dare to move.

Kai bowed respectfully, his face red. He swallowed hard as Sylas’s hand circled his stomach.

Sean nodded politely before stepping forward. He still had to wake Sylas up.

"Your Majesty," Sean called softly, rubbing Sylas’s exposed arm.

It took a few moments for the young king to open his eyes. He looked at Sean and then at the white curtains covering the balcony. Then he woke fully, realizing his position with Kai.

His eyes widened for a second before the memory of their night together came back clearly. He looked at Kai, who was already awake and now staring at him with an innocent expression.

Sylas smiled. "You’re awake. Good morning," he said, wrapping his arms around Kai’s chest and kissing him on the lips.

Kai held his breath but accepted the kiss. Sylas’s lips were warm. He looked at him, so bright and cheerful.

Kai felt his throat go dry, and he replied in a hoarse voice. "Good morning, M-Master..."

"How did you sleep?" asked Sylas, ignoring Sean, who was standing with his gaze lowered not far from the bed.

Kai tried to sit up, and Sylas pulled the blanket higher to cover Kai’s exposed lower body.

"Ehh... i-it was good, Master..."

Sylas smiled again. "Have breakfast with me before returning to the dormitory," he said.

Kai was about to answer, but Sean interrupted. "Your Majesty, Sir James asked me to prepare you for breakfast with King Obaze. They arrived early this morning."

Sylas frowned, his beautiful morning instantly ruined. He knew he couldn’t avoid it and had to welcome them. He sighed deeply, slid out of bed, grabbed his pajamas, and put on his pants.

Kai swallowed nervously, noticing the change in Sylas’s face. The man seemed different in just a few seconds.

Sylas walked to Kai’s side, wrapped an arm around his waist, and kissed him again.

"I’m sorry, I can’t accompany you to breakfast. Guard will take you back to the dorm," said Sylas, smiling, though his eyes looked cold.

Kai nodded obediently. He didn’t understand why Sylas seemed upset. He didn’t mind going back now. Last night and their time together were enough for him. He didn’t expect more.

Sylas looked worried when Kai walked with an awkward gait as Sean told him to get dressed.

Sean noticed too, and he immediately knew what had happened last night, even though he had never expected Sylas to do that.

"Are you okay, Kai?" he asked.

Kai turned, confused by the question.

"What’s wrong? Are you sick or hurt?" Sylas asked anxiously, walking over quickly to check his body.

Kai stood still. He was used to this kind of pain. There was nothing strange about it. He hadn’t had sex in a long time, and his hole had tightened up again. He was actually more surprised by Sylas’s reaction.

"Ah!" Kai cried out in shock when Sylas suddenly lifted him and laid him back on the bed.

"Let me see. Which part hurts?" asked Sylas, worried, sure that he had done his best not to hurt him.

Kai looked at Sean, embarrassed. Sylas noticed this, pulled the blanket up to cover him, and asked Sean to leave.

"I’ll take care of him myself. Please tell Sir James I’ll be in the dining room shortly," said Sylas.

Sean nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty." Before leaving, he looked once more at the bed, where Sylas was touching Kai’s lower body again. He was curious how two men did it, since he had never seen it with his own eyes.

As soon as Sean left, Sylas opened the blanket and examined Kai’s reddened spot.

"Was I too rough?" he asked.

Kai immediately shook his head. "N-No, you treated me well, Master... I’m fine..."

Sylas still looked worried. "Should I call doctor?"

Kai was startled to hear this. He shook his head quickly. "P-please no. I’m fine..." he said, trying to reassure him.

Sylas was so concerned that he wouldn’t let the young man get up. He helped Kai get dressed while he stayed lying down on the bed.

"I’ll tell the guard to let Mrs. Manu know you can’t study today. Rest here. Sean will bring you breakfast. Don’t move too much," said Sylas.

Kai stayed silent. He wasn’t even allowed to sit up.

"Lie down," Sylas pleaded, his face full of worry. If he didn’t have important things waiting, he might have stayed there all day to keep him company.

Alvaro entered the room to make sure Sylas was ready and to escort him to the dining room. Once inside, he saw Sylas sitting on the edge of the bed, rubbing Kai’s lower back. He looked away, pretending not to notice, and cleared his throat to get Sylas’s attention.

Sylas turned, his eyes lighting up happily when he saw Alvaro. "Alvaro, come here," he said.

A few minutes passed, and Alvaro had to explain that there was nothing to worry about. Kai was fine. But the young king still looked unsatisfied.

"We must go to the dining room immediately to meet King Obaze, Your Majesty," said Alvaro.

Sylas took a deep breath, reluctant to leave.

"If you need anything, call the guards right away, okay?" Sylas said to Kai, gently rubbing his cheek.

Kai nodded obediently. He wasn’t allowed to sit, so he stayed as he was, even though it felt like being a prisoner. Still, his chest beat strangely. Why was he happy to see Sylas being so caring?

He rubbed his lower back. It felt strange. He used to hate sex training with his trainer, and the memory of that room left him a little traumatized. But with Sylas, it felt pleasant. For the first time, he felt satisfied, without fear.

Kai smiled quietly, feeling lucky to have met a master like Sylas.

In the dining room, after a warm welcome, they chatted casually as the appetizers were served.

Sylas listened politely to King Obaze, who was speaking. The man was tall and broad-shouldered, tanned, with a large nose. Some of his hair had turned white, and his face was lined with wrinkles, with a deep crease on his forehead. He didn’t talk much, but his eyes were sharp. Sylas always found it difficult to please this man.

Sylas noticed the figure beside him. A petite, beautiful girl with striking green eyes. Her skin was beige, and her light brown hair was tied neatly. Her eyes kept glancing at him, sometimes smiling when their gazes met.

Sylas smiled slightly. The girl was three years younger than him. When they met as children, she always asked him to carry her when she got tired. He knew she was never shy or afraid of new people.

It wasn’t the first time Sylas had seen King Obaze and Eresia. But this time, the meeting made him feel uneasy. He responded politely to Adrien and Obaze, hiding his discomfort as best as he could.

"My daughter is very precious. She has received many proposals, and I always worry about letting her go. I am very grateful that King Adrien proposed to her, because I know Prince Sylas..." Obaze paused, realizing his mistake. He immediately looked annoyed with himself.

"I’m sorry, I mean Young King Sylas. I’ve known him since he was a child. He is very polite and kind. I won’t worry about letting Eresia marry him," said Obaze.

Sylas smiled faintly. This was very different from Eresia’s beaming smile.

After breakfast, Adrien took Obaze on a tour, leaving Sylas and Eresia to spend time alone.
