Primordial Ascension: Starting out with Three Ultimate Skills
Chapter 52: Blood Puppets
CHAPTER 52: BLOOD PUPPETS
Prince Viktor stared blankly at his sister. He gulped, swallowing his saliva.
He knew his sister too well. There are different types of mages in this mystical world.
Even though the innate talents of the Purple Continent is Ice, it doesn’t stop them from awakening other path skills and using different types of magecraft arts.
His sister, Sumeri is a special type of mage.
She’s a Dreamer.
Dreamers are mages one could consider a seer. But the conditions of their powers is only applied when they sleep.
Through dreams will they see the future.
This was kept a secret from the Supreme Council because they knew she will surely be a target of everyone.
Dreamers are rare so even the other continents will surely try to get their hands on her.
Just like how they try to assasinate Caden Ryder.
Even Caden doesn’t know it but this was the reason why she was captured by the Red Continent in the first place.
Before killing her in the future. They needed her to dream of the possible futures.
**
Countless thoughts flooded Viktor’s mind, He knew his sister wasn’t the type to lie and judge by her reaction.
He knew it was serious "What should I do? Why would Prince Caden even want to kill them in the first place?" Prince Viktor mumbled.
"Is it self defense or another assasination attempt?" Prince Kaid and Prince Hetu noticed their siblings soured mood.
They approached them "What seems to be the issue?" Prince Kaid calmly asked with a smile.
Prince Viktor slightly tilted his head "We need to leave now, Sister Sumeri had a dream and this is happening exactly as her dream foretold" Prince Viktor explained.
Prince Hetu’s eyebrows furrowed "And does that seem to be a problem? What exactly will happen in her dream?"
"Are we in some kind of trouble?" Prince Hetu asked. Prince Viktor calmly shook his head "Not at all....."
"But Prince Caden...There’ll be a bloodbath!"
***
Amplifying his speed using his mana, Prince Caden dashed forward, covering vast distance within seconds.
His eyes flickered. His B-Ranked Skill: Dragon’s Vision was still active.
Unlike his S-Ranked Skills which had their own drawbacks and after effects. The after effects of his B-Ranked Skills were non-existent.
And that’s thanks to his evolution, reaching Level 2.
He could use his B-Ranked Skills without fearing the drawbacks. "They’re getting closer" Caden mumbled.
Through his B-Ranked Skill: Dragon’s Vision, he could see moving heat signatures kilometers away.
Aside his group, there were three other groups who had their eyes fixed on the specific ball.
His lips curled faintly when he leapt, his graded weapon was still sheathed. He had no need to use them.
All the demonic variant humans he encountered never knew he was coming.
His S-Ranked Skill: Shadow Cloak was still active. It’s drawback was only reducing his stats by ten percent.
He amplified his body with mana to replace the ten percent of his weakened state.
Moving as fast as he usually was.
Meanwhile while Caden was running through the forest, another was watching him with a smirk.
Sitted on a tree branch, his legs crossed, his face hidden under the red hooded cloak he wore.
His eyes flickered for a second "Hehehehe, so that’s the infamous Caden Ryder huh?" He licked his lips like an hungry man, "He seems quite strong...."
"Now i understand how he was able to survive an assasination attempt against that guy" Diving down from the tree branch.
His feets landed on the ground, not making a single sound. He stretched his arms, his bone cracking reverberated through the air.
He softly exhaled "I was specifically ordered by the Lord General to take out the bastard"
"But just killing him will be boring so I prepared a nice gift for him" His eyes gleamed, taking a step forward.
He stretched forth his right hand and a symbol of goat head and eight angelic wings were imprinted on his palm.
The symbol flickered for a few seconds.
The mysterious figure chuckled softly "Let’s see how you feel killing your fellow Purplemen, Caden Ryder"
***
Few minutes later, Caden Ryder arrived at the scene, his movements came to a halt. Before him was a massive pillar.
And on the pillar was the ball, emerald in color. Caden smiled inwardly "I guess it wasn’t as hard as I expected"
Caden mumbled. Taking a step forward, he stepped on something. Noticing the strange flow of mana.
He fell back, a frost explosion erupted. Caden’s eyebrows furrowed "A trap?" His eyes scanned through the area.
"Why didn’t I think of it.....you guys were hiding all this while" His voice echoed, he was unfazed.
Emerging from the shadows were dozens of students. Caden was trapped as they encircled him.
Caden clenched his fist, he sensed something..... something very strange in the air "What is going on?"
"Why did they bother trapping me when they could just fight it out and obtain the ball?" Caden was in deep thoughts.
He refrained from acting carelessly. He needed to understand the intentions of this guys before moving.
That was when he noticed it.
Every single student had a symbol of goat head and eight angelic wings imprinted on their foreheads.
Their eyes void of life. They were like zombies, puppets moving under someone’s command.
Caden’s lips curled faintly "S-Ranked Skill: Blood Puppeteer, I never expected to see you this early"
"What is it because of me? You were supposed to arrive after the first invasion of the Red Continent"
Caden breathed in deeply "There’s no need for me to worry about such things, if they’re now your blood puppets"
"I should grant them mercy and relieve them of their sufferings" Caden closed his eyes, he muttered a few words.
One of the blood puppets charged forward, a loud shriek was heard when it swung its blade against Caden.
Caden evaded the blade, taking a step back. He grabbed the blood puppet by the neck.
Staring deep into the eyes of the student who has now become a blood puppet. Caden felt pity "I’m sorry" He whispered.
He moving his fingers, snapping the student’s neck. The cracks echoed as he released his grip, the student’s lifeless body fell on the ground.
Just then he heard a familiar notification.
