Primordial Ascension: Starting out with Three Ultimate Skills
Chapter 56: Numbered 0 (2)
CHAPTER 56: NUMBERED 0 (2)
Receiving the number 0 meant many things for Caden Ryder. Students from number 50 and below were given honorary treatment.
Their dormitories were meant for royalties compared to other students.
And they were given special privileges compared to the rest. But the number 0 was different.
He had higher power compared to the rest.
Caden was now officially the representative of the first year students. Every royal academy has three year sessions.
Each sessions has their number 0 who acts as the representative. To receive the number 0, you must be the strongest.
That’s the rule of the Valor Royal Academy.
Power above all.
Caden was granted deep access into facilities owned by the academy. VIP sections within the library.
And even immunity towards some certain actions and misconducts. This was why many desired this power.
With this position. They could rule other first year students, extorting them and setting rules.
But Caden has far too many reasons why he needed this position. It was soon time to prepare his arrangements for the future.
***
Caden exited the registration hall and he was reunited with his guardian Alyssa. And they were both escorted by the female staff who brought them in.
Caden narrated his ordeals with Alyssa. Explaining the first stage and the second stage of the numbered test.
Including why he killed seventy-two students during the second stage.
Lucky for him, the students he killed were mainly successors from super kingdoms, large-sized kingdoms, medium-sized kingdoms and lower-tier kingdoms.
Excuses could be given and apologies could be made. But if it were to be successors from supreme kingdoms.
It would have been a different case entirely.
While they strolled around the academy areas. The staff showed Caden a few places.
He saw countless dormitories. There are boys dormitories and girls dormitories, all identified via numbers and letters.
While they moved, Caden kept his eyes on the staff. He knew she was a Red Spy, he had already planned to make her his target.
It would be useless to expose her right now.
And thanks to the medium task he received from the system. He found more motivation to use her.
After few minutes of walking. They arrived at the gates of something known as the special dormitory.
A male dormitory which occupied students who numbers were 50 down below. This was where Alyssa would stop.
Guardians were prohibited from stepping into a dormitory. "I’ll take my leave now" the staff said.
She bowed her head before leaving. Both Alyssa and Caden glared at her for a few seconds.
Caden breathed in deeply "Alyssa, while you’re less busy. I need you to observe her movements"
"There was an assasination attempt on my life. And it was done by a Red assasin, she’s a Red Spy"
"But I doubt she has the power to pull such. So please monitor her and report to me" Caden said.
Alyssa nodded with a smile "You’re my master, there’s no need for you to add please"
"But I’ll follow your instructions and observe her actions but I’ll have to make something clear"
’If I’m caught by her and my life is in danger. Am I permitted to kill her?" Alyssa asked.
Caden knew this was an important question. Anything could happen at any given time, He nodded "If there’s no option left, take kill her"
He turned his back to leave, making his way towards the special dormitory. Seeing this, Alyssa softly exhaled.
"That’s quite the special child" She mumbled.
She left the scene, heading off to the apartment building prepared for the guardians.
***
Caden approached the special dormitory building, a grand structure with tall columns and intricate carvings.
The doors, made of solid wood and adorned with golden accent, swung open with a soft creak.
Revealing a warm and welcoming interior.
As he entered, he was strucked immediately by the sense of tranquility that permeated the air.
The dormitory building was twice the size of a castle. A castle owned by a supreme kingdom’s royal house.
It was massive, having over three hundred rooms. The walls were adorned with soft tapestries, and the floors were covered with plush carpets that muffed his footsteps.
The hallways were lined with doors, each leading to a private suite or a communal area.
The air was filled with the scent of fresh linens and the soft hum of gentle music, creating a peaceful ambiance that was both calming and inviting.
He could see students moving to and fro, but he could tell none of them were freshmen.
They were either second years and third years. And if this was their current abode, it meant they were no ordinary students.
For you need to be ranked number 50 and below in other to live in the special dormitory.
While walking along the hallway, a student had noticed Caden. Caden who was observing everything was quickly approached by that student.
This student had long curly purple hair that reached his waist. He stood bare-chested, only putting on a blue pants.
"Hey" the student called out, causing Caden’s attention to drift towards him "Hey" Caden answered back.
Caden could see the gentle smile written on this student’s face "For you not to recognize me, it seems you’re a newcomer, a freshman right?" He asked.
Caden nodded with a smile "That’s correct, the third stage was cancelled so I had to check out my dormitory"
"What year might you be?" Caden asked. The student chuckled "Well I’m a third year student, you could consider me a finalist"
"And as for my number....I’m number 3" The student boasted. Caden’s smile broadened even more, for this student to still be number 3 as a finalist.
He knows he’s strong.
"I can tell you’re strong. For you to be ranked number 3 as a finalist, are you a successor from a supreme kingdom?" Caden asked.
The student gently careesed his chin "Sure, while I cultivate the two, I mostly focus on magecraft....I’m a first tier mage" the student’s white teeths were shone.
It’s commonly known that the Sword Level cultivation is the faster way to grow stronger while Magecraft takes alot of time.
It’s rare to even see a first tier mage not to talk of a Mage Master.
Caden breathed in deeply "It’s quite sad I’m still a third-tier mage, I should practice some magecraft arts" Caden said.
The student nodded "It’s good to see students appreciating magecraft, not those muscular headed folks"
"Mind if I show you around the special dormitory?" The student asked. Caden nodded "Sure...."
"But I forgot to ask for your name" He added.
The student smiled, "That isn’t a problem, the name is Rollins, Rollins Von Neuman" He answered.
Caden’s eyes widened in shock "Von Neuman? Are you the son of....." the student named Rollins nodded.
"Don’t be startled by that, my father may be a prominent figure in the Purple Continent but I’m going to grow stronger, I will be stronger than him no matter what"
Rollins clenched his fist as he made those statement. Caden chuckled "Well that’s a good goal, to be greater than the strongest man in the Purple Continent"
Rollins nodded, this time....they were both seen strolling down the hallway "I’ve introduced myself, so what about yours?"
"What’s your current ranking number? 15? 18? 20? 28?" Caden laughed at those guesses.
"Nah, I’m somewhat the representative of the first years. Number 0" Caden answered.
Rollins movements came to a halt, his eyes widened in shock. Slightly tilting his head, he stared blankly at Caden "Number 0?"
"Who are you?" He asked.
Caden softly exhaled "I’m sure you must have heard of me since I’m quite popular this days, the name is Caden Ryder"
