Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely
Chapter 266: All Skills Nullified, There’s Nothing You Can Do
CHAPTER 266: ALL SKILLS NULLIFIED, THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO
Fwish! BOOM!
After losing his wings, Sam crashed to the ground, slamming into the square with a thunderous impact that sent cracks spreading across the stone beneath him.
His eyes flared open, burning with rage and resolve as he glared up at the seven beings standing before him.
These were not ordinary enemies.
These were the seven strongest beings here, the biggest threats that remained.
Every other awakener had already fled far from the square, leaving only Sam and them behind.
"It’s over," Lucien said calmly, his voice carrying authority. "You cannot win anymore."
"Good thing the King gave us that, huh?" Damon chuckled, his grin filled with mockery. "Thank you, Your Majesty!"
"We will all pray and thank the King later," Olivia murmured, her hands still clasped in a calm, eerie prayer. "Until then... let us finish the job."
"WE KILL!" Grok bellowed, his voice like a beast’s roar. His eyes flared as his muscles expanded, thick veins bulging across his crimson skin. "YES... WE KILL!"
"I-I’ll assist you all," Seris mumbled, clutching her staff nervously.
"I feel like I don’t even need to analyze him," Maeva said with a shrug, "he can’t use anything anymore."
"...Careful," Levi warned quietly, the celestial with an eye-shaped necklace glinting under the light. "He may still have a few tricks up his sleeve."
Sam’s gaze swept across them, studying each of their faces, each of their postures, each subtle aura.
They were all different, in appearance, in temperament, in power.
But he didn’t care about that.
All he cared about now was seeing what they could do, and figuring out why the hell all his abilities had suddenly been nullified.
’The item they used... it must be the [Primordial Blocker],’ Sam thought, eyes narrowing. ’That’s the one they got from the [Mystery Box]... but how can something that overpowered actually drop in the first place?’
Of course, Sam knew he wasn’t one to talk.
He had received things that were ridiculous too, two skills, one ability, and even the [Realm Map].
But those were things with general uses, tools to grow stronger, to fight, to explore.
This, on the other hand, was made for one purpose: to screw him over completely.
Still, he decided to take a look at their status panels.
His eyes flared as he focused on Lucien first, ready to analyze his status and see every skill that might come his way.
But the moment he tried to summon the panel—
Ding!
[You are not allowed to do that.]
"Huh?"
Before he could process it—
Fwish! BOOM!
Lucien hurled a [Thunder Spear] straight at him, lightning streaking through the air.
Sam rolled aside just in time, the spear exploding against the ground where he had been standing.
"You tried to look at our panels, didn’t you?" Lucien grinned, holding another spear of crackling lightning. "Unfortunately for you, you’re not allowed to do that anymore."
Sam’s eyes narrowed, and he immediately tried again with Damon.
Then Olivia. Then Grok.
Each time, the same message appeared.
[You are not allowed to do that.]
’Alright... that’s definitely not normal.’
[Really now?]
’I feel like...’ Sam looked at his hands, his aura flickering faintly around them, ’...my powers are slowly diminishing.’
Even so, he raised his sword, taking his stance.
"Let me," Grok growled, taking a step forward. The entire square shook under his weight. "I want to see his terrified face!"
Grok was enormous, nearly two meters tall, built like a monster, his body a mass of bulging muscles.
Crimson veins pulsed beneath his skin, glowing faintly like molten cracks in stone.
The halo floating above his head was white, split with sharp red fractures that pulsed every time he breathed.
Every celestial had a different halo. It was how they recognized one another.
Sam didn’t care about that either.
All that mattered was the text that flashed before his eyes.
[No point in fighting fairly.]
[End this =)]
Sam let out a slow sigh.
’Didn’t think I’d have to use this one right now... but better safe than sorry.’
He took a deep breath, then opened his eyes again.
And without hesitation, he cast the ability he had been saving for something far greater, something beyond reason.
SUPERNOVA!
---
[Description: The explosion of a dying star will erase all of those that stand in your way, for no matter how hard they resist, they cannot face you. Cooldown: 1 day.]
---
Anyone seeing this would think it was the end of the world, and in a sense, it was.
Fwish!
The moment he activated it—
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
A massive explosion tore through the [Upper Realm], shaking the heavens themselves.
The shockwave was deafening.
And above, the very sky began to crack.
A massive tear split open across the firmament, glowing with blinding blue light.
[Here it is...]
Slowly but surely, blue energy began to gather in the air above the realm.
It twisted and condensed, forming a gigantic star of blue flame that pulsed like a heartbeat.
’Beautiful,’ Sam thought as he gazed up at it, the reflection of its fire burning in his eyes.
All seven celestials stopped, staring upward.
"Huh..."
"So what now?" Damon asked, eyes wide. "This doesn’t look... survivable."
"We’ll be fine," Lucien said confidently. "The King told us, remember?"
"Right..."
The star continued to grow, expanding until it hovered like a second sun over the entire kingdom.
But that wasn’t the real attack, not yet.
This was only the buildup.
Fwish...
The burning star pulsed brighter, its light turning pure white as it reached critical mass.
Then—
Ding!
["Supernova" has been nullified.]
"Huh?"
BAM!
The glowing star vanished. The tear in the sky sealed instantly.
Everything returned to normal, calm, still, as if nothing had ever happened.
"..."
"..."
"..."
[Damn, all that for that.]
"I told you," Lucien said with a smug grin. "Believe in the King, and our path will be full of glory. He cannot use ANY of his attacks!"
Sam’s eyes narrowed sharply.
’We’ll see about that.’
Primordial Lightning! Primordial Hellscape! Primordial Tendrils!
He called out each one rapidly, aura flaring, power pulsing from his body, but every single time, the result was the same.
The abilities formed for a brief second... and then shattered.
["All Hope is Lost before Him" has been nullified.]
["Primordial Barrage" has been nullified.]
Each one vanished. Every single skill he had was being stripped from him.
After just a few seconds, the only abilities left were [Primordial Barrier] and [Primordial Clone].
But then—
"HERE GOES!" Grok roared, his voice shaking the square as he lunged forward.
Sam tensed, preparing to dodge or block the attack with his barrier.
Ding!
["Primordial Sword" and "True Primordial Sword Technique" have been nullified.]
"What?"
Before Sam could react, his sword vanished, dissolving into particles of light right before his eyes.
He reached out instinctively, trying to summon it back, but nothing happened.
BAM!
Grok’s fist crashed into him.
Sam expected the [Primordial Barrier] to take the hit, but instead—
["Primordial Barrier" has been nullified.]
BOOM!
The impact slammed into him full-force, hurling his body across the square.
He smashed into the kingdom’s outer wall, stone shattering as he fell to the ground, coughing blood.
’Hah...’ Sam thought, his vision spinning. ’This isn’t looking good...’
He was actually losing everything, his powers, his abilities, even his weapon.
Though his aura still burned bright, meaning they couldn’t suppress his affinities completely, things were going from bad to worse.
He thought there was nothing left for them to take.
But then—
["Determination is Fuel" has been nullified.]
"Oh."
[We can’t revive anymore.]
His ability to come back from death was gone.
Meaning this was his final life.
"Stressed yet?" Lucien smirked, stepping closer. The others joined him, surrounding Sam like vultures. "There’s nothing you can do."
Sam lifted his face, blood dripping from his lips and eyes.
And from the corner of his vision, he saw his primordial clone flicker, its form starting to distort.
’Oh...’
That was the last thing he had left.
Once it was gone, he’d truly be alone.
And yet, he pushed himself up again.
He clenched his fists, aura burning around them like fire.
"Then I’ll fight you with my fists," he muttered.
[Our determination is undying. Keep pushing forward =)]
Sam nodded faintly, though his gaze stayed locked on the fading image of his clone.
It warped and flickered once more—
Then vanished.
["Primordial Clone" has been nullified.]
But just as all hope seemed lost—
Ding!
[But the "Primordial Clone" refused.]
Fwish!
The clone reformed instantly, solidifying again beside him, its smile wide and bright as it looked straight at Sam.
’It’s... still here.’
Sam’s eyes widened. His heartbeat quickened. His aura burst outward like a storm.
That single act of defiance, that refusal to fade, reignited something inside him.
[With our determination, anything is possible.]
[Proceed.]
A grin spread across Sam’s bloodied face.
He rose to his feet once more, his entire body cloaked in aura until only his glowing eyes and that wide, fierce smile could be seen.
"Haha..." Lucien actually took a step back, eyes narrowing. "You show your true form at last..."
This would be his toughest battle yet.
But that was fine.
He would fight. He would endure.
He would win, no matter what it took.
