Primordial Expanse: I have the Strongest Talent!
Chapter 520: A hopeless endevour
Boom!
However, he barely even made it a few hundred metres, before something landed from above and blocked his path.
A Lux appeared before them through the smoky environment, with his gaze trained on the two of them, expressionless. If Alex could compare his look to a human, it would be ’indifference.’
Alex was naturally aggrieved by this delay in their retreat, and launched himself at the immobile Lux. He couldn’t understand why it would just stand there if it had already made an entrance just like that, but he couldn’t care less anyway.
If there was an obstacle in his path, then he would just remove that obstacle!
It only took a moment for him to arrive in front of the lone Lux, and he stretched Virtue’s Edge out to attack hisneck, intending to lop his head off and be done with this delay in no time.
CLANGG!
However, his face twisted the moment his sword made contact with the Lux’s neck.
There were no spurts of blue blood, or shouts of despair like he was expecting. Instead, his sword rebounded off like he’d just met an immovable object.
Alex could feel the vibrations through his hand, and it hurt him!
’Fuuuuuuuck...’
It was only now that he realised just what kind of situation he was in. Your journey continues with empire
Taking a look at the battlefield behind him, he noted how all of the opposing Lux were either Ordinary class or Mutant class, so when first seeing this new Lux that approached him, his first thought was to kill it that instant!
He could deal with a single Ordinary or Mutant B tier without so much as a drop of sweat, as he had already done this many times before.
Mira swallowed hard, as the echo of Alex’s last word before being struck repeated in her mind. Her gaze flicked back to where he had landed, noting how he had started to get back up onto his feet already.
Thankfully the Lux sent the punch straight to where his armour covered the most, so the resulting attack wasn’t life threatening.
But still, receiving the punch of a King class B tier wasn’t something he wanted to experience again.
However, despite all her internal disputes and her heartwrenching pain, Mira disappeared from her spot, causing the Lux to raise an eyebrow.
She had escaped to the Void.
This was all she could do. She was weaker than Alex, still trying to catch up to him. But she knew that she stood absolutely zero chance of survival if she stayed in this fight.
Unfortunately, despite her best wishes, she had to leave. It was for Alex’s own sake. If he had Mira to worry about, things could only become more difficult for him.
Meanwhile, in the distance, Alex sighed a deep breath of relief when he felt Mira’s aura disappear from his perception. This could only mean she had entered the Void dimension.
However, his face quickly regained its tension just a moment later. He couldn’t afford any more distractions. That first punch from the Lux was the only cheap shot it would get!
Without further notice, he activated his Phoenix Flames, allowing them to fully envelop him in their ethereal aura. They encased his entire body, before moving onto Virtue’s Edge.
He felt his power quickly begin to rise, and his body quickly began to heal itself.
The internal bleeding around his abdomen where the Lux’s hand met his stomach stopped at once, and his organs were rearranged back to their usual places.
’My trait reduces all damage taken by King class beings by 50%, and my armour reduces it further by another 40%! I do not know if these effects will stack, but even if they don’t, that still leaves the incoming attack with only 20% of its power left! My only hope is that I can manage to hold out through this and deal enough damage to kill this guy...’
Alex considered his options, but he was doubtful of his chances of surviving this battle.
But the System gave him the requirement of killing a B tier King class being if he wanted to advance to B tier himself, so there had to be some possible way he could win...
