Primordial God Of Time
Chapter 104: Receiving The Rewards... Sovereign Star Sect...
CHAPTER 104: RECEIVING THE REWARDS... SOVEREIGN STAR SECT...
... An ethereal golden scroll floated down in front of him, glowing with starlight. Kranos instinctively reached out and grasped it. The moment his fingers touched its surface, the world around him trembled as a flood of knowledge poured into his mind.
His vision was filled with symbols of starlight and sword intent. As a core disciple, he was allowed to select two profound cultivation techniques from the many that had directly imprinted themselves in his mind.
Heaven-Breaking Void Steps: A spatial footwork technique that allowed teleportation over long distances and even in sealed domains.
Dimensional Collapse Palm: With a simple strike, he could cause a localized collapse of space, compressing matter into nothingness.
Stellar Core Refinement Method: A cultivation technique that forges one’s core using stellar essence. Once mastered, it grants near-endless vitality and allows the user to survive in space without spiritual energy for short durations.
The decision was extremely tough for Kranos; however, after pondering it and using his time ability, "Rapid Thought," he felt that the "Dimensional Collapse Palm" and the "Stellar Core Refinement Method" would be suitable for him.
Although he wanted a movement technique, he felt that the technique was of similar grade to Luka’s own; besides, Luka’s own was far more versatile!
...
Elsewhere, Kathryn stood in silence as a crystal orb descended in front of her. A voice, ancient and serene, spoke directly into her soul:
"Congratulations on completing the trial and becoming a legacy disciple..."
At these words, Kathryn looked as though she had already expected this; her expression was calm as the mysterious voice continued.
"Do you know the history of the Sovereign Star Sect?"
This time, Kathryn’s expression changed slightly; however, she didn’t respond, letting the mysterious voice continue.
"In ancient times, the Sovereign Star Sect was one of the overlords of the immortal galaxy, traveling the myriad stars with the starship. But, after years of traveling, we ultimately encountered a race from the Abyss that led to our total annihilation."
As the voice narrated the story, it seemed to contain some emotion. "Despite the fact that we escaped to different immortal galaxies, we were still tracked and brutally destroyed. We were no match for them. Becoming the legacy disciple of the Sovereign Star Sect involves bearing the karma of the whole sect. Are you willing?"
Kathryn pondered for a moment; many thoughts flashed through her mind. After some hesitation, she made a decision. "I am willing."
"In that case..." the voice once again resounded. Soon, the whole eight pavilions began to tremble. From a distance, an orb emerged and slowly approached Kathryn.
"Aside from getting the Sacred Sovereign Sect Sword Technique and granting a request of yours, you will receive the method to control the starship."
As though guessing that Kathryn might not understand what the starship meant, the voice spoke, "The starship is the universe treasure we used to traverse the stars back then. Although it has been destroyed to a great extent, traversing two or three immortal worlds shouldn’t be a problem."
Seeing this, Kathryn’s eyes flashed for a moment, and she grinned inwardly. Finally, it is in my hands! After receiving the orb, she then told the mysterious voice what request she wanted.
...
Just like with Kranos, Luka became a core disciple and was given a selection of techniques to choose from...
Luka chuckled under his breath, "This... this is more than I ever dreamed of." He then proceeded to select the two techniques that suited him best.
...
Kevin, wounded but alive, found himself surrounded by motes of silver-blue light. Instead of a scroll, a bow appeared before him, it looked ancient and regal and was adorned with glowing runes.
The bow floated into his hands and instantly fused with his spiritual sea. With it came floods of techniques, insights, and battle instincts.
Heaven Piercing Arrow Formation: A technique that allowed his arrows to seek out targets across kilometers, piercing even spatial barriers.
Wind Pulse Step: A rare agility technique enhancing short bursts of dodging and repositioning.
Phantom Bow Manifestation: Allows the summoning of illusory bows that mirror his strikes.
Kevin grinned through his blood-stained lips. "From now on... I’ll never be at a disadvantage again." He thought that everyone had received the same level of techniques as him, not knowing that he only received such special treatments due to his sister.
...
As the inheritance trials concluded, all of them found themselves transported to a vast, starlit hall. Following the route they used to enter, they slowly left the hall, not mentioning anything about what they had obtained to each other.
But, just as they exited, the whole place began to tremble once again. This time, even more fiercely. The trembling continued for a while, and soon they felt as though the ground was slowly being lifted up. Kranos stared with wide eyes as the surrounding space began to fold and converge as though it was shrinking.
In the blink of an eye, it had shrunk greatly. Seeing this, Kathryn let out a slight smile, then explained.
"This ancient ruin is a floating ship." She didn’t elaborate further; however, Kranos narrowed his eyes. He knew that Kathryn had been plotting something right from the beginning. Was this it? If that was the case, then this ship was far from ordinary. Kranos had a faint guess in his heart.
As soon as the ship began moving, floating high above them, they noticed a celestial map, pulsing with energy. Dozens of glowing orbs floated at the edges.
"Sister, what are these?" Kevin was immediately curious. Since his sister had told him that there was a big opportunity, he knew that the ship was definitely extraordinary, but he didn’t voice the question he had in his mind due to the presence of Kranos and Luka. But seeing the celestial map, he finally couldn’t hold in his curiosity.
"This is nothing, there’s no need to worry about it." Kathryn didn’t say anything concerning the celestial map, but she knew that the map was pointing out the locations of immortal worlds close by.
Staring closely, she noticed the Elven Immortal World, where they were heading to next, and a smile bloomed on her face. "Finally going home. From there, I can begin implementing my plan concerning Kranos..." She glanced at him through the corner of her eyes.
But, just as the ship began to take off, heading to the Elven Immortal World, their eyes all widened in shock as they noticed something unbelievable!
