Kranos recalled the techniques he had received from becoming a legacy disciple in the Star Sovereign Sect, including the second technique which involved a single palm strike. He also remembered the various techniques he had obtained from Luka.

"My safety comes first. It’s better to practice the techniques I received from Luka first." Kranos made his decision and then took out the spatial ring Luka had given him. Infusing his essence into the spatial ring, Kranos was stunned.

Recalling Luka’s carefree demeanor, Kranos, for a moment, felt that he had been tricked. "Are these really cultivation techniques?" Kranos wondered, staring at the steles that appeared to be made of a peculiar rock, now before him.

Kranos counted them and realized that there were ten in total. He shook his head, but still decided to study the steles closely. Using his essence, he withdrew the first stele and began to examine it intently.

The intersecting patterns that seemed to move about caught his eyes. He stared at them in a daze, feeling that they were far from ordinary, and extremely... confusing. He could barely understand a thing from them, which shocked Kranos. "What kind of thing is this?" he wondered silently.

He immediately activated Rapid Thought to speed up the rate at which his mind processed the information. He continued studying the mysterious stele for more than four hours. Slowly, information about the stele began to reveal itself to him.

Kranos realized that the technique was named the Void Piercing Strike. He also realized that it was extremely peculiar. "How can this be considered an elemental technique?" Kranos was shocked as he understood the description: it was a sword strike that could pierce through space and destroy one’s opponent!

Kranos had never seen anything like it before. Staring at the stele, Kranos realized that he had definitely stumbled upon a treasure. He refocused his attention on the stele before him, continuing to study the movements of the inscribed patterns.

Although he was mastering the technique at a slow pace, Kranos knew that he was definitely making progress, one step at a time!

Soon, time passed, and he had completely comprehended the basic level of the Void Piercing Strike. Kranos was amazed. He stood up and felt the change in his senses towards space. He felt that at any moment, he could pierce through space and strike at a distance.

If an enemy didn’t know of such an attack, it would be extremely difficult to defend against. Just as Kranos was about to begin searching for Luka’s peculiar movement technique among the steles, he heard a knock on his door.

He raised an eyebrow, then with swift motion, he appeared at the door. He opened it slightly to see Illan standing outside. He was stunned. Illan still didn’t have any expression on his face as he spoke.

"Master said it’s been three days since you came for the array study. If you fail to come today again, he will disqualify you."

Kranos was stunned as he stared at the young elf in front of him. "So much time has passed already?" He hadn’t expected the passage of time to be so great just because he was comprehending the basic stage of the Void Piercing Technique.

Kranos nodded at his words. Since he was already clad in his white robes, he didn’t waste any time and immediately followed the young elf back to meet the master. As they walked, he also noticed a few more guards around. "The number of guards has increased? Did something happen?" Kranos was curious; he decided that he would ask Kathryn about it later.

Stepping into the familiar courtyard, he saw the other three disciples. Ahead of them, just beside a stack of array papers, he saw the array elder looking coldly at him.

"I apologize for my absence over the past few days," Kranos clasped his hands and said humbly. The elder snorted, then turned his gaze away. Kranos found a place to sit nearby and listened as the elder instructed them on some information concerning arrays which he didn’t know.

Time passed, and after the lesson was over, Kranos thanked the elder and left the premises, heading to Kathryn’s room. Although he didn’t know where she stayed, he guessed that it had to be the largest room in the royal building.

Reaching the large door, Kranos knocked slightly, then waited. After a few moments, the door was finally opened. His gaze met Kathryn’s, and they seemed to lock eyes for a moment. She was stunned to see Kranos. Kranos quickly collected his thoughts and went straight to the point.

"I noticed that there were more guards than before. Did anything happen?" he asked, studying her facial expression.

Kathryn looked slightly flushed as she felt Kranos’s gaze on her. She quickly replied, "There is information that the rebels are planning something."

"The rebels?" Kranos had an inquisitive look.

"Yes, they are a group of people that rebel against the royal family, constantly plotting to bring us down."

Kranos nodded in understanding. Since there was nothing left to talk about, he thanked her, then bid her farewell and rushed to his room. Upon entering, Kranos sat down meditating for a bit before reaching his senses once again into the spatial ring to search for the technique.

He took out a stele and then began studying it like the last time. Since he couldn’t directly tell what kind of technique it was until he comprehended it, this was the only way he could go about it. After a few hours of studying the technique, its name finally revealed itself to him. Kranos frowned; it wasn’t the movement technique.

With a sigh, he placed it into the time space and began comprehending the second technique. Unfortunately, once again, it wasn’t the technique Kranos was looking for. Kranos frowned once more, but he knew that patience was key.

After taking out two more steles, he finally saw what he had been searching for. Kranos stared at the technique; from just the name, he could tell that the technique was extremely profound and was exactly what he needed to guarantee his life.
