Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!
Chapter 632: Unequal battle
CHAPTER 632: UNEQUAL BATTLE
In his day, Elder Alsen was known by a peculiar name: The Pot Man.
His ability consisted of a two-square-meter pot that he could materialize and use for many things. Along with this ability came the ability to create different types of poisons inside that pot. Once he opened it, anyone he considered an "enemy" would find themselves plunged into nightmares or perhaps poisoned with some deadly toxin.
No one ever knew what might emerge from this pot, so everyone respected him. Even Gray Allen didn’t want to fight him because, even though his ability was of the support or mass attack type, no one wanted to face the uncertainty of not knowing what that pot would contain.
The problem is that the casting time between each one is costly. Since it is a skill that does not act immediately but requires a medium to do so, it is usually only used in attrition battles when other people are protecting him.
And today was his day to shine.
The third and last to activate a skill was Frederick’s brother, the third heir of his time, as the second died prematurely, and the Family had to change the chosen one.
He was the most underrated among those with skills, to the point that he was often considered ’dead’, but his skill remained incredible and, in fact, it is because of it that he sometimes goes unnoticed.
The ability to use shadows.
That alone would be amazing, but there’s a catch: he can only use his shadow and his brother’s shadow to fight. He is bound to a very close relative, who is currently far away from him.
That’s why his ability is currently limited, but it allows him to do many things, one of which is to avoid death once by switching places with his shadow.
When that ability is used, his shadow "dies" and he loses a lot of power, so he has to wait a while to recover before he can use it again.
It’s an ability that has earned him the life he has today, as he has used it more than four times to save himself from certain death.
And today he would use it again.
Living up to their family name with their wide range of skills, the Murphy Clan was ready to show their power today, so Roy Mustang quickly found himself in a dead end.
The biggest problem was... Where was Sophia?
Not only Sophia, but if he looked to the side, Wilfred wasn’t there either.
As Roy Mustang stood there in shock, thinking about this, he suddenly felt his body tremble slightly, and he realized what was happening.
Sophia and Murphy were outside the circle of elders, both killing people to become more powerful.
With the advantage of Sophia having a large number of saint weapons, if she could get close enough to the 140,000, and with the help of everyone present, they could achieve a temporary victory by killing Roy.
And right now, Sophia was in the perfect place to gain power.
A war with millions of soldiers ready for execution.
That’s why she devoted herself to killing left and right. Her body moved from side to side as she listened to the elders fight fiercely.
Her movements had been so quick that even the distant leaders watching everything were stunned and reacted late.
Despite that, when they reacted, along with the unleashed power of the leader who was already on the ground, all the Murphys were alarmed.
They quickly arrived above Sophia, which ended up dividing the power between those attacking Roy and those who now had to help Sophia.
Sophia and Wilfred quickly jumped back, landing nearby.
"Brother, have you achieved anything?" she asked.
Wilfred smiled a little.
"I’ve been training hard lately, but in less than two hours here, I’ve managed to increase my power by 5,000. I’m halfway to the final push to 140,000."
Sophia nodded. "Good... I’m already over 110."
"Do you think you can fight those guys, using all the power of the weapons?"
"No."
"Haha..."
"But don’t worry. We can do it."
Wilfred smiled and nodded gently. "You’re right. We have to do it."
With the help of the elders, they were able to continue killing left and right, but this only lasted for about 15 more minutes, until all the elders were suppressed with power.
Even with their abilities active, they were far from being able to take on these people who continuously regenerated and had power superior to each of them.
While there were only three of them, the individual differences were too great.
In no time, Sophia, Wilfred, and the others were pushed roughly aside.
Roy Mustang looked exhausted from all the fighting. He had overlooked something: he was still adjusting to his new abilities, which required a lot of stamina.
Fighting against so many people like that was a sure way to quickly run out of stamina, and it showed when the battle was over.
"Damn, you Murphy bastards. You’re really tough," he complained, gritting his teeth.
"But it doesn’t matter. You ended up falling anyway." Roy took a deep breath and walked toward Sophia. "Murphy, Murphy. Can’t you even last a day? Haha... I originally thought the Vampire Clans were supposed to be more impressive." He sneered.
Sophia smiled a little at this. "Are you sure you want to talk so pompously? Even though we’re far from your power, it seems our abilities are still superior to any of you."
"Hm? What do you mean?" Roy asked, frowning. "Even if they have amazing abilities, only three of us were enough to show them that we are more than enough to destroy them."
"Hehe." Sophia sneered. "Are you sure?" she asked.
Just then, Elder Alsen snapped his fingers. A snap that echoed across the battlefield, affecting numerous people at once, especially those closest to him.
Suddenly, the view of the battlefield changed for all of them.
The leaders of the opposing side were shocked to see the slaughter taking place on the other side of...
"Poison of... illusions?" Roy Mustang was in shock.
