Julia nodded desperately. At this moment, even if she were asked to eat, she wouldn't be able to. All she wanted was to quickly learn from the old lady and use that experience to confirm whether she was truly pregnant.

Seeing Julia nod and taking in her reaction, the old lady laughed even more cheerfully.

After leading Julia out of the dining room, they headed to the living room and sat down on the sofa. Naturally, the three men followed and took their seats on the sofa as well.

The three brothers sat side by side, like soldiers being inspected, right across from the old lady and Julia. Six eyes from three pairs stared at them both, each wearing a different expression. The twins looked a bit peculiar, while Glades's expression was no different from usual. However, the sight of the three handsome men seated in a row was quite amusing.

Upon witnessing the brothers in such a scene, Julia couldn't help but laugh out loud.

At the sound of her giggles, the three brothers, in perfect unison, glared at her, their expressions seeming to ask, Is it that funny when brothers sit together?

Yes, it's quite funny! Julia's almond-shaped eyes, curved with laughter, twinkled. Brimming with a captivating charm, she used her gaze to retort to the three brothers opposite her.

"Generally speaking, when you're pregnant, your appetite changes," the old lady said, seemingly unaffected by the silent, smiling exchange between the brothers and Julia. She spoke with affection, holding Julia's hand and sharing her experience to address Glades's earlier question. "It means that you might suddenly like and crave things you didn't normally enjoy, and you might eat a bit more than usual."

Glades pursed his lips tightly.

He had already read about all this in books. But Julia's appetite had only changed today; it didn't necessarily mean she was pregnant. Maybe she just suddenly felt like eating those things.

"Julia, your period... it hasn't come, has it?" the old lady asked softly in Julia's ear.

No matter how the younger generation questioned her, the elderly lady was certain Julia was pregnant. After all, she had given birth to several children herself and had plenty of experience.

Julia's face instantly flushed red.

Why was the old lady asking her such a question?

"Grandma is also a woman, you know. Even if I'm old enough to be losing my teeth, that doesn't change the fact that I'm a woman," the astute old lady said, knowing Julia was embarrassed. She chuckled and whispered again in Julia's ear.

"It's not time yet," Julia responded quietly, blushing, her voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz, afraid that the three handsome men across from her had heard.

Glades was her husband, so it was alright if he heard, but the other two were her brothers-in-law, and she didn't want to put herself in an embarrassing situation.

"How many days until it's expected then?" the old lady continued her probing.

She asked so specifically because she was also afraid of getting her hopes up for nothing.

Julia held up five fingers to the old lady.

The old lady laughed even more heartily, now almost certain that Julia was pregnant.

Whether these young ones believed it or not, in five more days, they could be completely sure. Unless Julia's menstrual cycle was irregular.

Thinking about this, the old lady turned to look at Julia, who, understanding the unspoken question, said with a blushing face, "It's very regular."

"Ah, good," the old lady said, a happy little laugh escaping her. She finally stopped her questioning and chuckled contentedly. Her aged eyes filled with anticipation as her gaze couldn't help but drift to Julia's abdomen. Her great-grandchild! At long last! If they didn't come soon, she worried she might not live to see them. After all, she was well into her eighties. People of such an advanced age were in a daily tug-of-war with the heavens; each day lived was a blessing.

When Henry and Harry saw the old lady's gaze drift towards Julia's abdomen, they instinctively followed her line of sight downwards. Unexpectedly, a sharp rap landed on each of their heads. The sudden pain made them retract their gazes and instinctively raise their hands to cover the throbbing spots. Turning their heads in bewilderment, they looked at their eldest brother. His face had darkened, and his entire being radiated a warning, domineering aura.

"Big Brother?" Harry yelped first, puzzled as to why his brother would hit him out of the blue. It wasn't just painful; it was embarrassing. He was twenty-eight and the head of a company. Outside, people referred to him either as 'Young Master Horne' or 'President Horne.' If anyone saw his eldest brother smacking him on the head, his image would be utterly ruined.

"Where were you two looking?" Glades asked sternly, his eyes growing darker and colder, a hint of a murderous aura emanating from him. Was his wife's abdomen something these two scoundrels were allowed to stare at?

The twins, taken aback, quickly realized their mistake, and both handsome faces flushed crimson. Harry stammered, his voice so low it was hard to make out what he was saying.

The old lady and Julia exchanged a look. Julia's face turned red again, while the old lady's amusement only intensified.

Her precious grandson really was domineering, the old lady thought. Getting jealous even of his own brothers. Never mind that the twins were just instinctively following her gaze; even if they did harbor any designs on Julia, they wouldn't dare act on them. Not unless they had a death wish. They weren't blind; they could see clear as day how their eldest brother felt about Julia. Who would dare pull a whisker from a tiger's mouth?

"Glades, Julia, help Grandma upstairs," the old lady suddenly said after her laughter subsided. She had come tonight primarily because of the incident from the previous evening, fearing the couple might decide never to return to the old family home. She wanted to act as a mediator.

Glades didn't question her. Complying with the old lady's wishes, he stood up and, with Julia, helped the old lady towards the stairs.

Reaching the second floor, they guided the old lady straight into the Study Room.

The bookshelves in the Study Room were filled with various books, some that Julia used to love reading, and others that Glades read.

The Study Room wasn't very large, about forty square meters. It was furnished with a bookshelf and a desk. Two green potted plants sat on the floor on either side of the desk. Diagonally across from the desk was another sofa set. The coffee table in front of this sofa held two bowls of seasonal fruits, and beneath it were several of Julia's favorite snacks.

The couple only occasionally returned here, but the servants made sure to clean it daily, regularly refreshing the fruit, snacks, and other items.
