Thinking of this, Rachel Bailey's heart lit up with anticipation; her career change was looking promising.

She was extremely excited. Regardless of being in the Shopping Mall or the early hour, she called Hansen Ruiz to tell him about her career change plans.

Receiving a call from the woman he loved early in the morning, even if Hansen Ruiz was initially groggy from being woken up, his mood instantly improved.

"Hansen, I'm shopping at the biggest Shopping Mall on Betra Street, and I want to make you breakfast. Will you come? There's something I want to discuss with you later, and I need your advice. That's it for now, I'll wait for you. Don't be a no-show."

Rachel Bailey didn't discuss her career change plans over the phone but asked Hansen Ruiz to come and meet her instead.

Hearing that Rachel Bailey wanted to make him breakfast, all traces of sleep vanished from Hansen Ruiz. He bounced out of bed with a laugh, "Okay, wait for me, I'm coming right now."

Then he hung up the phone and quickly got out of bed.

His heart felt sweet as honey, thinking that life with the woman he loved was truly different—no longer as monotonous as before.

Hansen Ruiz swiftly changed his clothes, and after washing up, he grabbed his car keys and hurried out of his villa, driving his Land Rover in a fiery rush toward the largest Shopping Mall on Betra Street.

After calling Hansen Ruiz, Rachel Bailey picked out some vegetables she needed, bought some fish and shrimp, along with other ingredients, getting ready to prepare a lavish breakfast for Hansen Ruiz.

She hadn't taken cooking classes like Julia Bluen, but as an independent girl used to fending for herself, her culinary skills were generally quite passable.

After picking up everything she needed, she headed towards the Cashier.

Many housewives shopped early in the morning at the Shopping Mall, as did many wage-earners; they bought their day's groceries early so they could cook them when they returned from work at noon. The cash registers were lined up fifty meters from the main entrance. Mall staff dressed in red were busily working in front of them, and each Cashier faced a long line of customers waiting to check out.

Rachel Bailey joined the shortest queue.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes, it was almost Rachel Bailey's turn, with just one person ahead of her.

But then, a familiar, short figure cut through from behind and inserted herself in front of Rachel Bailey.

Someone was cutting in line!

"Miss." Another voice quickly followed, apologetic in tone. A middle-aged woman in modest clothes came pushing a shopping cart filled with all sorts of household goods—all of the finest quality and highest price.

"Miss, please line up properly!" Rachel Bailey immediately tapped the line-cutter's back politely, her eyes hinting at dissatisfaction. She saw the woman was clad from head to toe in designer brands, an outfit worth over a hundred thousand yuan. She appears affluent, yet she's so uncouth as to cut in line!

The woman turned around, and both she and Rachel Bailey froze.

"It's you!"

"It's you!"

Both of them widened their eyes, staring intensely at each other.

The line-cutter was none other than the Powell Family's Diana Powell.

Diana Powell had just ended her two-month marriage to Nicholas Coldwell and had even paid him a sum of money to get rid of him. The failed marriage left her heartbroken and depressed, causing insomnia for the past few days. Unable to sleep early this morning, and feeling too irritated to stay in bed, she had gotten up. When she saw a servant heading out to shop for household goods—a monthly errand for the servants' own supplies—driven by her vexation, she had insisted on following the servant to the Shopping Mall. Under normal circumstances, she would never have set foot there.

Feeling entitled due to her wealth, she acted as if no one else mattered. After helping the servant pick out the best household goods, she saw the long lines at the cash registers. Itching with annoyance, she decided to cut the line. Her choosing Rachel Bailey's line was purely accidental; she hadn't even recognized Rachel, as she considered herself too high and mighty. She picked Rachel's line because Rachel was a woman, while the customers nearly at the checkout in other lines were men.

The Cosmos Group had suffered due to Glades Horne's actions. Unable to hire a transport fleet for deliveries, they faced delays and customer losses. This led to demands for compensation for late deliveries as stipulated in their contracts. After Nicholas Coldwell left, Dio Powell personally tried to secure transport fleets but failed. Consequently, he had to resort to hiring numerous small private trucks from the nearest town, incurring high costs. The large number of vehicles required increased expenditures. Even though the goods were eventually shipped, the compensation payments and losses were so severe that Dio Powell was in agony.

He both feared and loathed Glades Horne.

Glades Horne wouldn't let their Cosmos Group collapse in a day, but through his tactics, the company's funds kept dwindling, causing Dio Powell such distress it felt as if his heart were being sliced by a knife every day.

Furthermore, as news spread that the Cosmos Group could no longer guarantee timely shipments, clients who had intended to renew their contracts backed out. Those with active contracts hurried to terminate them. In just a few days, the Cosmos Group had lost a substantial number of clients and a significant amount of capital.

When Glades Horne took action, he was indeed formidable!

"Diana Powell, do you have any sense of public decency? Look, all these people are waiting in line; why should you get to cut in? Do you think you own this Shopping Mall? Go on, get to the back of the line!" The moment Rachel Bailey saw it was Diana Powell, her expression hardened. She held Diana in utter contempt, viewing her as the 'other woman' who had callously interfered in a past relationship.

Now that Diana Powell and Nicholas Coldwell were divorced and the Cosmos Group was teetering, this was Diana's just desserts.

"So what if I cut in your line? My time is precious," said Diana Powell, her face also becoming stern and filled with malice when she saw Rachel Bailey, who was Julia Bluen's friend. She forcefully pulled the servant's shopping cart closer, determined not to let Rachel Bailey check out.

Rachel Bailey was furious.

She reached out, yanked Diana Powell's shopping cart, and pushed it backward. The cart, with its wheels, slid far away with her push.

Then, unapologetically, she used her body to shove Diana Powell aside.
