Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs
Chapter 284 - 284 284 Let Me Go
Chapter 284: Chapter 284: Let Me Go Chapter 284: Chapter 284: Let Me Go Tang Yu couldn’t hear the words Ye Sihan was saying, and fell asleep without any guard.
Ye Sihan lowered his head, his thin lips landing on her pretty nose, then moving down to press on her soft lips.
They didn’t part for a long while.
He cleaned Tang Yu’s body, dressed her in pajamas, and carried her out of the bathroom.
The four little ones saw this and, waving their little short legs, followed behind dad’s long legs all the way into the room.
Watching dad put mommy on the bed, the four little heads leant over the side of the bed, staring at mommy with wide eyes, unblinking—
“Is mommy asleep?”
“Asleep…”
Ye Sihan glanced at them, “Don’t make noise.”
“We won’t disturb mommy.”
“I want to sleep with mommy,” Haohao said and then tried to climb onto the bed.
Just as Xibao was about to show her agreement, she saw Haohao picked up by one hand by dad.
“Go take a bath,” said Ye Sihan. After covering Tang Yu with the quilt, he scooped up the remaining three in one hand.
The door to the room closed, and with silence prevailing, Tang Yu shifted slightly, her neck retracting into the blanket, sleeping peacefully.
At first, her body was still warm, but later it grew cold.
So, when there was a source of warmth nearby, instinctively, she moved closer.
Getting into bed, Ye Sihan watched Tang Yu snuggle over of her own accord. His dark eyes deepened; he reached out a sturdy arm to draw her into his embrace.
Tang Yu wished she could shrink her entire self into Ye Sihan’s arms.
Ye Sihan touched Tang Yu’s white and delicate feet, which were ice-cold.
He tucked her feet between his legs, warming them with his skin.
As for the four little ones, they were arranged in another room, cared for by the maids.
There was no choice; if it were summer, they could have been thrown onto the bed to sleep however.
Winter was cold.
The conditions in Tang Yu’s rented apartment were limited, lacking underfloor heating, and the air conditioning was dry, which isn’t good for children’s health.
And there was another thing, Ye Sihan felt they were superfluous.
But the children didn’t think so!
They would be unhappy about not being able to sleep with daddy and mommy!
So the two maids had to keep reassuring them, saying that daddy and mommy were in the room opposite.
It wasn’t easy to put them to sleep at last. The maids heaved a sigh of relief.
This was much more difficult than cleaning up in Ye Mansion!
Tang Yu’s drama wrapped up filming after a month.
The wrap-up party was held in a hotel that evening.
Having been fed quite a bit of alcohol, Tang Yu went to the balcony to catch her breath, only to be chilled by the outside cold to her core.
Her head also cleared up quite a bit.
She looked up at the darkened sky, feeling particularly cold today. Right, Christmas was nearly upon them, wasn’t it?
Every year she would spend it with the four little ones. What about this year?
Would she still have the opportunity? There shouldn’t be a problem, should there?
Over the past month, her interactions with Ye Sihan had been quite good. Whenever he had the time, he would visit her rented apartment, even cook for her.
He even brought the four little ones to stay over.
But Ye Sihan never brought up the idea of her going to Ye Mansion. Tang Yu inevitably felt disappointed, but she kept it to herself, not daring to make the request…
Weng Lai approached with a wine glass in hand, swaying over, “Why are you here all alone?”
“Drank too much, trying to clear my head.”
“Do you have plans after the wrap party?”
Tang Yu didn’t know why she was asking and shook her head.
“Keeping a low profile, huh? Are you meeting up with a sugar daddy?”
Tang Yu thought to herself, was Weng Lai still not giving up on inquiring about her ‘sugar daddy’?
But indeed, she had no plans to meet with Ye Sihan that evening.
“I know who your sugar daddy is, it’s Ye Sihan from the all-powerful Ye Mansion in the capital, right?” Weng Lai was already certain in his heart.
At the moment she found out, she didn’t know how thrilled she was, filled with envy and jealousy.
Why hadn’t such good fortune fallen on her?
Of course, in every line of work, opportunities were fought for, so she tried every means to get close to Tang Yu.
“I’m feeling a bit cold, I’m going inside first,” Tang Yu said.
“Don’t go, do you have any issues with me?” Weng Lai stopped her and asked.
“Of course not.”
“Or are you afraid I’ll steal your sugar daddy?” Weng Lai’s tone became aggressive.
“I haven’t thought that way, sorry, I need to go inside,” Tang Yu politely said, then stepped past her and left.
The entertainment industry is a circle; you never know when you might meet someone again, so it’s best not to make enemies if you can avoid it.
Weng Lai watched the direction Tang Yu left in and something flashed across her face, a mix of smugness and scheming.
Instead of leaving the balcony, she moved further into the little garden inside.
Because it was cold outside, there were not many people around, making it a perfect spot for a secret rendezvous.
Tang Yu made a round through the banquet hall and didn’t see her assistant anywhere.
Her coat and bag were still with her!
She didn’t find the assistant, but in a semi-open lounge, she saw her coat and bag.
Soon, the assistant came over, “Miss Tang, were you looking for me? I went to use the restroom.”
“Oh, I’m not sure when the wrap party will end, can I leave first?” It was Tang Yu’s first time and she didn’t understand how it worked.
“Is it because your friend came to pick you up? I think it’s fine to leave early,” the assistant said with a wink and a nudge.
“Friend?”
“The owner of that coat!”
Tang Yu realized, “Ye Sihan?”
“You didn’t know? Wasn’t he here to find you?”
Tang Yu was stunned. She didn’t know, Ye Sihan hadn’t told her…
Leaving the lounge, she saw several actors gathered on the balcony, looking towards the direction of the little garden.
Curious, Tang Yu moved closer and stood behind them.
Then she saw the intimate scene between Ye Sihan and Weng Lai, which pierced her eyes sharply, and a sour bitterness sank heavily in her heart. Her body seemed to stand in the bone-chilling wind, shaking slightly.
Ye Sihan noticed a fleeting figure on the balcony and pushed away the woman clinging to him fiercely.
He didn’t rush to leave, but asked, “What is your name?”
The woman he pushed away, Weng Lai, turned anxiety into joy, “I’m Weng Lai.”
Without another word, Ye Sihan gave her a glance with his cold eyes and walked out of the little garden.
Weng Lai stood there frozen, chilled to the bone by his gaze.
Why was it so terrifying…
Tang Yu, wrapped in her coat, walked out of the hotel, no longer feeling the cold seeping into her body.
She had her own dedicated vehicle, provided by the film crew.
She glanced around and didn’t see it but did spot a familiar Rolls-Royce.
Without needing to check the license plate, she knew whose it was.
Thinking back to the scene she had just witnessed, the sourness in Tang Yu’s heart surged up again.
Was Ye Sihan taken with another woman?
Given their intimacy, it seemed so…
But when had Ye Sihan and Weng Lai gotten in touch? She knew nothing about it.
Weng Lai truly had her ways.
Tang Yu took out her phone from her bag, about to call the driver when suddenly a hand extended next to her, snatching her phone away.
Tang Yu froze for a moment, turned her head, and saw it was Ye Sihan. Her expression changed, she pursed her lips, turned, and was determined to walk away, ready to leave her phone behind.
She had only taken a few steps when her wrist was gripped tightly and she was forcefully pulled towards the Rolls-Royce.
“Ye Sihan, let go of me, I don’t want to get into your car…”
