CHAPTER 137: FIND THE RUIN ENTRANCE.

Walking through the darkness with the Star Radiance Flower illuminating their path, Jun Wu and Mei Ling did not encounter many beasts as before.

Although there were beasts that attacked every now and then, they were few and easily handled by Mei Ling.

Since Jun Wu gave her the Runic Revolver, she had fallen in love with it. The ease and power that came with the revolver made her feel more alive.

Surrounded by thick darkness, everywhere filled with hidden danger and with no means to defend herself, she began to hate herself.

But now, she wouldn’t feel like a burden.

Watching the cold, aloof girl holding the Runic Revolver like a precious artifact, Jun Wu did not know whether to laugh or shake his head.

Nevertheless, he did not hesitate to devise a trick or two about shooting. She listened attentively as if receiving a great lesson.

Walking through the thick dark undergrowth, Mei Ling’s eyes darted left and right, ready to release a barrage of shots on the unfortunate beast.

Whoosh!

From behind a thick dark tree, a massive beast lunged at the duo, its deadly fangs wide open, ready to snap Mei Ling’s neck in two.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Still in the air, Mei Ling released the barrage of shots, blasting through the beast’s face and mouth.

Crash!

The beast crashed heavily to the ground. Deader than dead.

Till death, it did not understand how it had been killed. It had only found easy prey, but now its body lay on the cold, hard ground.

"Hahaha. I’m loving this weapon." Mei Ling couldn’t help but chuckle.

Her smile was beautiful and mesmerizing. Looking at her pure smile, Jun Wu couldn’t help but be stunned. He never expected her smile to be this captivating.

He had never gotten through her cold, aloof facade, and this came as a surprise.

"What?" she asked, returning to her usual aloofness.

"Nothing," Jun Wu shook his head, and a wry smile played on his lips.

Mei Ling stared at him for a moment before she snorted lightly. She unsheathed her dagger and cut through the beast’s heart, extracting the beast’s core.

She gave the core to Jun Wu and walked ahead. Previously, she could only follow behind, but now she was confident enough to take the lead.

Watching her childish act, Jun Wu chuckled and followed her.

Walking deeper into the shadowless region, they had long since lost track of time.

Since there was no way to tell the time, even the sense of direction was barely noticeable. If not for the map they had obtained from the people they met at the beginning, they would have probably been lost.

After walking for so long, they felt their surroundings were different. Even though they could barely see around them, they could still feel it.

They slowed their steps, and vigilance was heightened.

Suddenly, they heard the faint sound of footsteps coming from a certain direction.

They halted their tracks and turned to face the direction. Jun Wu exchanged a knowing glance with Mei Ling, and she understood immediately.

She hid the Runic Revolver in her robe and gripped her sword tightly. Slowly, the bright illumination of the Star Radiance Flower appeared in their view.

"Ah, more people," a female voice echoed from the front.

From the darkness, five people appeared. They were three girls and two boys.

All of them were in the Master Realm, just the first group they had met.

Without waiting for Jun Wu and Mei Ling to speak, the leading girl asked casually, "Are you also heading to the Moon Peach tree?"

This time, Jun Wu and Mei Ling had learned their lesson. They did not reveal their ignorance.

"We’re not," Jun Wu shook his head. "We’d rather try our luck hunting the beast."

"That’s a shame. Although the beast core could help you, it can’t compare with the Moon Peaches." The leading girl shook her head. "All right, hope we meet again."

With that, she led her group deeper into the darkness. Watching their disappearing backs, Jun Wu and Mei Ling relaxed their guard.

"Let’s go..." Jun Wu urged, and they left their location.

He did not want to be caught up in the hunt for the Moon Peaches. Although he did not know how important the Moon Peaches were, he knew one thing:

There would be many teams vying for a portion of the Moon Peaches.

Deep in the darkness, the previous group looked at their leader curiously.

"Young Miss, why don’t you invite them to our group? Although they are weak, they could still provide some support." A girl spoke, looking at the leading girl.

"Do you think I don’t want to invite them? Since they were not interested, I can’t force them." She responded by shaking her head. "Let’s hope there won’t be many groups this time."

The others nodded and increased their pace.

A single peach could allow them to break a small stage while solidifying their foundation.

Jun Wu and Mei Ling were unaware of this, and if they knew, they wouldn’t have cared. Their target was the hidden ruin in this dark world.

"Do you think we’re on the right path?" Jun Wu asked, staring at her.

"I don’t know." She shook her head.

The Shadowless Region was beyond her understanding. She was merely trying to see if her guess was right.

"We need to find a waterfall," she added. "As long as we find the waterfall, the entrance should not be far from it."

Shhh!

Jun Wu gestured for her to be quiet. She was confused but still held her breath. Slowly, she heard the sound of water falling.

The two exchanged a knowing glance and rushed toward the sound of the water.

Quickly, they arrived at the foot of a waterfall. They raised their heads, trying to see how high the waterfall was, but the darkness obstructed everything.

Without speaking, the two began to look for the entrance of the ruin. For the fear of encountering powerful beasts, they did not dare separate.

After searching the surroundings for so long without any luck, Jun Wu decided to look into the small stream.

He took out another Runic Revolver and cast a defensive formation around them.

Stepping into the small stream, they slowly began to find the entrance of the ruin, but everything was for naught.

Just when he wanted to give up, he saw a small opening behind the waterfall.

"Look!" He pointed at the small opening.

Following his finger, she found the small opening, and relief escaped from her lips.

"Let’s hope it is the entrance," she muttered, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"Let’s hope so."
